York 54 found the paradoxical sweet spot by offering a thick, thin crust pizza. The sausage, roasted pepper, red onion and 54 dust known as the Super Sausage pizza is a pleasure every time. I usually avoid bone in chicken wings, but the order that passed by our table was too appealing to neglect. The 54 wings are varnished with a siracha lime and honey sauce that lived up to my ocular expectations and were a perfect compliment for our pizza. Absolutely delicious! I was famished so I ordered the soup of the day to hold me over until my pizza was ready-a potato soup topped with a salmon mousse. It was a risky choice in my mind, but I was thrilled with choice after the first spoonful. Reminded me of a French vichyssois- really. The "Garlic and Green" pizza was a eclectic blend of crisp vegetables on top of a light and airy crust. Excellent! The restaurant itself is a cozy hole in the wall with limited seating and a café type atmosphere. It has a loyal following of customers who order takeout. This place is a small but incredibly amazing place offering a wonderful variety of pizzas, sandwiches, etc. The combinations are very original yet work very well if you want to try something healthy and/or new. For example, pizza w/ spicy bbq chicken and apple slices may be unconventional but healthier than most other pizza but, most importantly, it is delicious and reasonably priced for the area. A tiny little pizza place (less than 10 tables with a few more outside, so maybe not quite as cozy in the warmer months). The bathroom was a little chilly (they do have a space heater in there, but it wasn't on :). I got the BBQ pizza (w/o the onions) and my husband got the Pork loin sandwich (when my pizza came I started eating without processing it was actually the buffalo chicken pizza...was good but way more spicy than I was wanting). Just went in tonight 7/3/18 around 6:50pm. They were slammed. the staff was fantastic. They were very busy and looked understaffed. The waitress running the front was by herself and looked stressed but she did such a phenomenal job while I was there handling things as well as she could. The kitchen staff was excellent as well, they looked stressed as well but just kept pushing the food out as fast as they could. The owner should thank them for the great job they did. We had trouble finding this place, though we were right by it. Parking lot was dark, there was no illuminated sign. Its tiny, maybe seats 20 people max. My husband and I shared the Brussels sprouts with bacon and cheese, so good. We had originally wanted to order the Mexican street corn, but they were out of it. My husband got a sandwich, I got the pizza with red curry sauce, chicken, honey sriracha sauce. Delish! Our server was nice, service was quick, prices reasonable. Wow! What a little hidden gem! There were 9 of us piling in after a long beach day. We were so hungry. We started ordering from the sweetest young lady at the register and it didn't take long to see how happy we were that we chose this pizza place. From the root beer float to the selzers to the garden side salad with homemade blue cheese dressing and Caesar salad to the buffalo wings. Yummy! Then, out comes all the pizza's we ordered! OMG Wood fired pizza at it's finest! Every single pizza was delicious, hot and the presentation served on ceramic tiles right to our table was very unique. The quesadilla's were huge and the children's meals were enough for an adult! Best pizza we have had in a very long time! I would have given them more stars if I could have! This place is amazing! Been here a few times. Always delicious pizza (I usually have the Bacon, asparagus, and feta pizza. Very original flavors, and very delicious. Their assortment of other pizzas is really original, to include a pizza with green apples on it. Paired with a Ricker's cider at a VERY reasonable price? Excellent. The menu is exciting and different. We ordered the personal pizzas. I had the Garlic & Green Veggies, which was excellent -- the garlic cloves melted in my mouth, and the marinated provolone provided a taste delight. My husband created his own with bacon, Chorizo sausage, and pepperoni, which he said was very good (mildly spicy). We ordered out, and it took just 15 min from call to pick-up. Delicious! A great mix of specialty pizzas, salads and other interesting sides. I have never had a bad meal. The specials are always interesting and usually a combination of flavors that you would not expect. Nevertheless, always terrific. Take out may be the way to go, since this place is small and super popular with the locals. Call at least 30 minutes before you want to eat take out. Let's get one this straight, the food is amazing and alone would be 5 stars. Unfortunately every time I try to go there on a Monday they aren't open... even though they say they are. For that reason I have to dock some points. I would understand if this was for the winter and a "winter hours" sort of deal, but that isn't reflected online or on the sign outside of the restaurant. In fact when I tried to stop by after work today the "open" sign was still in the window but it was quite obvious that no one was there. One of my coworkers has been having the same issue where he will call to order but no one ever answers. It's disappointing for a place that has such amazing food. We came to Maine for a Valentine's Day weekend. This was a random unplanned stop on the way to our resort. Was it ever a pleasant surprise!!! The waitress was SO NICE and helpful with the menu and suggestions. We ended up getting some great tips on the area while we waited for our food. The smell of the place had us anxiously awaiting our food. It was heavenly! The takeout was buzzing and we got to smell all the amazing pizzas cooking. As for our food my husband ordered the margarita pizza and I got a chicken quesadilla. They were divine!! I really wanted caramelized onion on mine and they happily made me some. For a tiny little place they were definitely a 5 star all around, both staff and food. We will be back again before we head home. The prices were really reasonable! read more
