Don't shy away from this place when you drive up to it. The area may not be fancy but, you won't be disappointed. The inside of this little restaurant is really clean and you will immediately be greeted by friendly staff. The wall decorations and music remind me of my childhood memories in Mexico. So I will start by saying I really liked this bean and cheese breakfast taco. You could taste/feel the tortilla was homemade! I wasn't given a receipt to see what tax and everything was but it was $2 for one taco and that kinda threw me. Especially since there was a sign for 3x$3.00+ I'll be returning because it wasn't a bad experience. It was quick and they had a drive through so that was very nice. Although, it was a bit interesting because I though you would pull around the building to leave it but there didn't appear to be much room. I had to reverse a little to leave. The prices are way to high, food quality is no good. I ordered 2 bacon and bean tacos and I received bacon bits plus total for 2 tacos $6.00. and tacos weren't that good. Never again will I be going. read more

This place is pretty good, considering it is a whole in the wall type of place. Don't expect fine dining, pristine walls and a super duper shiny seating area. It could be a bit tidier at the cash register, but other then that still a good place to eat. Food was well made and tasted good. I got the shrimp nachos and hubby got the green enchiladas. This is my favorite breakfast taco place in town, and I'll stop here in the morning to bring the joy of breakfast tacos to friends and family. They have a drive thru window on the right side of their building as well as parking on the left side and right in front... make sure not to block the drive thru lane! Also, if those spots are all taken there is additional parking in the same block so you don't leave the parking strip. Once inside the register where you can order to-go is to the left, and is manned by 3 ladies that are good at recognizing repeat customers. Cash is preferred, but they do accept card as well. If you're not in a to-go mood, they have a large dine-in space where you can try their weekday specials as well as their continuous menu items. I'll usually get orders of their bean & cheese, bean & egg, bean & chorizo, bacon & egg, or country sausage & egg breakfast tacos. My absolute favorite is the bean & cheese though with their green salsa. Why Yorky's over the other breakfast places? 1) Amazing tortillas. They are hot, thick, browned in spots, and not to dry or too doughy. 2) The filling is just the right amount where I don't start to wonder if this is a stuffed burrito vs. a taco. I prefer a smaller ratio of filling to tortilla compared to others, and Yorky's meets that mark. 3) SALSA. Their green salsa isn't too thick or too watery, and it is the right heat-level. Definitely good to dip or to just open that taco up and pour it all over. read more

We were with one of the "Air Force Mom's" who suggested that we HAD to visit Yorky's Taco house and try their breakfast taco's. I ordered the treo which consists of egg and potato, I ventured to order one with egg and bacon, and the third with egg and sausage. You can get the treo for $2.99 however I think to change or add ingredients they charge additional. The tacos were pretty good, nothing to write home about. The fajitas were also ordered, and the bean and cheese burrito, everyone seemed to enjoy their meals...not knock my socks off worthy however. Prices seem to be reasonable. read more

I had the huevo rancheros w/ bacon....bacon was a little burnt, eggs fluffy, sauce was OK but really for a few bucks and change, you cant beat that. We couldnt finish all our food. They have a daily special board posting some awesome dishes. The best part is the food is hot, comes out quick, and tastes great! The prices are awesome and I recommend to tip your waitress good, since they will ensure your drinks don't run out and if you need anything, they are their to assist. I got their breakfast tacos to go. 3 bean chorizo and 1 carne guisada with cheese. They both were delicious! Tortillas were fresh and soft, the bean and chorizo wasn't super greasy and there were still some almost whole beans in the taco, which proves it's not from a can. The carne was very good: chunks of stewed meat seasoned just right. I was pleasantly surprised that the green hot sauce was on the hotter/spicier side compared to most places. My review is based on breakfast only as I have not eaten lunch here. Since I heard of this place in Nov of 15, I have stopped in a few times to get breakfast on the way to work. Yorky's is near the Security Hill gate at JBSA-Lackland so it is quite close. I usually order the bacon, egg, and cheese tacos with cilantro. I always tell the ladies that I would like the 'chip sauce' (salsa) since their green and their red sauces are too hot for me (I'm a wimp). For the price, I believe I am getting a fair deal. The taste... well it can't be beat. I've stopped at taco trucks and I've gone to Jalisco's, but Yorky's really has the best breakfast tacos. To top it off, everyone seems to have a great attitude. I'd recommend a stop-in at least once to see how you like it. Not only will I be back, but I've been going back on a regular basis. read more

Had a co-worker say that this place is better than the place next to it, but I'd have to disagree. This place has really great prices and good service. The quesadillas are good, but had the flautas and they didn't have much flavor. The salsa, beans, and rice don't have much flavor either. The Mexican restaurant next door is so much better to me, and it's just as cheap. read more
