Unfortunately, the fraudulent business practices taint, every other aspect of the meal. This will be discussed near the end. To start off with the food, it is very average. For the price, you would expect much higher quality food. However, when every dish cost $21 after tax, it is definitely not worth the price. Most of the dishes are dripping with oil. For example, some of the noodle and curry dishes are literally sitting in a tub of oil. The orange chicken uses frozen, perfectly cubed pieces of chicken. I wish they used the actual pieces of chicken, again as the price you pay does not attest to the quality. Red curry is ok but the flavor is very mild. Chicken satay is quite dry and needs all the sauce it can get. Sticky rice mango is a pitiful portion for the price. They even promote fraudulent advertising by showing a giant portion of sticky rice mango with an entire mango on their menu, however, the portion you get is less than half of one mango. It is extremely fraudulent/false advertising. Another issue overall is that the restaurant adds a 3% credit card surcharge. They have signs in the restaurant stating that the credit card companies are charging the customers this extra surcharge. This is again patently false. Credit card companies charge a surcharge to businesses who wish to accept credit cards. This is a normal cost of doing business, and this should definitely not be passed on to the customers as the prices at this restaurant are already at an all-time high. Also, as other reviewers have pointed out, apparently the restaurant charges this on debit cards as well, which is again, entirely fraudulent as debit cards do not charge any transactional fees. Lastly and probably the biggest issue is when they miss items in your order. For example, at the restaurant, I ordered a dessert along with my meal. At the end, it was discovered that the dessert never actually arrived, however, I was charged for it. The restaurant refunded the dessert, however, they only refunded the amount prior to the 3% credit card surcharge that they charged me. This means, the restaurant did not refund the extra 3% That they charged me originally for the dessert! They got to keep an extra 3% of money for intentionally messing up an order which again is fraudulent. This is something that will have to be filed with the FTC as who knows how many others they have scammed out of 3% in the past. Overall, I would highly suggest avoiding this restaurant due to the food quality being poor, the prices being quite high, the extra credit/debit card surcharges, and the fraudulent activity if the restaurant has to provide a refund. read more

Never disappointed in this restaurant before, always good food and good service. Tonight was a different story, got seated, order taken and waiting for order when another waitress who I've never seen before asks me to move so she can get something that was right under me. I put that 20 in my pocket with my phone before I left to dinner it fell out when I pulled out my phone. She says, let me get something my last table left me! Never did she ask if I dropped it, it was clearly right under me. Before I could even say anything she takes off with my 20. I told the young girl who sat us and took our order and she right away wanted to take 20 from herself and give it to me! I said absolutely not, she wanted to make it right which I'm very thankful for but it wasn't her wrong to make right. Common sense tells you that if the money is right below someone and you have to ask them to move so you can get under them, you can also ask if the money is theirs! I love the food here and the rest of the staff so I'll be back, but I'll never have her as a server. read more

Great food. BUT: They should be honest and stop advertising that they serve beer and wine. They have a BIG ole sign advertising beer and wine on the frontage road and their website talks about their beer and wine. The door says "temporarily" can't serve. Rushed, Confusing, and Overpriced We called for a to-go order at 8:00, and when we arrived, the staff were literally rushing out the door, putting on coats while we were still there. They decided to close at 8:30 since they had no more business, even though Yelp said they were open until 9. The worst part was the way they handled gift cards. We used a restaurant gift card, and they applied strict restrictions--no more than two cards and a $50 maximum per card. When I tried to use my $50 gift card from my friend, the cashier told me I only had $30 left and showed me a tiny receipt that was almost impossible to read. Because they were rushing to leave, I didn't question it at the time, but when I checked my receipts at home, the charges were incorrect. One of my friends had the same experience with a to-go order last night. The food was disappointing: spring rolls fell apart, sushi rolls were messy with rice falling out, dragon rolls greasy, and rainbow rolls tiny and not fresh. Not to mention the Thai Pho was pretty bad. Everything felt overpriced for the quality. I won't be returning, and I'd advise caution if you plan to go. read more

January 6, 2024. Saturday. Dinner. Bob Ross would say a "Happy Accident". We started out the night at the nearby Cheddars restaurant. They told us the wait would be an hour. We found this place by randomly driving around. I'd swear this place isn't that old, because I remember eating at the nearby Crab Boil and this place didn't exist then. Upon walking in, they sat us immediately and took our order. Let me say, this place has VARIETY. They boast a nine-page menu of mostly Thai dishes, a one-page menu of rolls, sushi and nigiri, and three pages of sake, wine, beer and cocktails on a three faced tabletop display. They offer Japanese and Thai dishes. I ordered 2 rolls from the sushi menu. A spicy salmon roll, $13.99, with avocado and Masago. Crazy roll, $14.99, with spicy yellowtail tuna, sriracha sauce, and green onions. Of the two rolls, the spicy salmon was better, though neither wowed me. The fish just didn't seem fresh, probably based on our actual proximity to the ocean. Our waiter did check on the green tea for us. He found decaffeinated green tea ($3), which I ordered. It seemed to come endlessly out of the small metal kettle. The inside of the restaurant was well lit. Not romantic, but a good place for a casual date. They have both booths and tables and it is quite spacious inside. I'm sure if you're a fan of Japanese or Thai cuisine you could order something that suits you from all of their options. I would opt for Thai next time because my wife seemed to enjoy her food more than I did! read more

Maybe their sushi is good but their Thai food is not. NO FLAVOR, NO SPICE Green Papaya salad was some queer messed up salad with lettuce spinach and cabbage. No dried shrimp no cilantro. The golden tofu was anything but! It was pure white with a gooey glutinous rice coating. Phad Thai noodles overcooked and mushy.Chicken Satay was okay but their cucumber salad that is always served with chicken satay was more like a sweet liquid sauce with tiny chunks of cucumber. I make better peanut sauce! The creamy mushroom chicken soup was flavorless. I spent $90 and I could have should have made much better for $30! This is one of our family favorites. The kids love Asian food and my hubby and I enjoy it on occasion. They have a nice variety of options. We had a couple of sushi rolls but we ate them too quickly to take a picture I love the combos because they come with soup, egg rolls and a main course. The service is very good. Tables and floors were clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was out of this world good! I ordered the spicy basil beef combo, which came with rice , spring rolls, and soup. I also ordered the sushi combo #1 which had 7 nigiri a California roll and seaweed salad. To be honest , I can't say what was my favorite. The basil beef was perfect, tasty and well plated. The sushi was fresh and was of generous portions. I opted to pay a few dollars more for white tuna and octopus and was glad I did. The sushi was fresh and looked great. We got inside at the end of the lunch rush and got to a booth quickly. Menus came and our first course was the Mango & Crispy Rolls. The mango was not ripe yet and crunchy with no flavor. The Crunchy Roll came with spicy tuna and lived up to its name. Next the Pad Thai & Peanut Curry. The Pad Thai was sweet & flavorful with plenty of sauce to keep noodle from sticking together. The peanut curry was also sweet. Due to a kitchen error I received both chicken & beef. It was a nice combination. Overall there was a lot of food, to go boxes were in order. First and foremost the food is great. It's a bit on the pricier side but for what you're getting I'd say it's well worth it. Would've gotten a higher rating but the service was kind of poor.... Don't get me wrong the entire staff was very friendly. Especially the man in the picture ! But they just weren't as attentive as they should be. For example we had empty glasses of water for almost our entire meal. It was only until the end when after my girlfriend and I were wrapping up our meals that we finally got our glasses refilled. As for the ambiance it was honestly a very chilled and relaxing looking environment. The tables are pretty close together so beware for some chair bumping and it's also a little loud. YUM! We were apprehensive about sushi at an Asian hodge-podge (Japanese and Thai). It's not fusion. It's literally a sushi bar and Thai food in the same restaurant, and it's GOOD. Added bonus: they have gluten free soy sauce!!! Sushi is fresh and generously portioned; the tempura was light, though not the traditional batter. Pad Woon Zen with shrimp was new to us, and we DEVOURED the dish (mung bean threads stir fried with vegetables and shrimp in a sauce that reminded me a little of a lighter pad see ew). Service was friendly, prompt and thorough. The atmosphere tends toward casual. Overall, it is a great place for a casual dinner with eclectic menu choices. 4 stars because I can't give it 4 1/2. What a great find! After leaving the movie theater and looking for a place for lunch we found Tokyo Bangkok. The service was great and so was the food! We started off with the gyoza and they arrived hot and quickly and they were delicious! I ordered the spicy jungle noodles with chicken and it had great flavor and was really good! My husband ordered the spicy sesame udon noodles with pork and was very happy with the dish, also great flavor. Our server was very friendly and and attentive.
