Stopped by today to get some sushi and they didn't have any wasabi. No worries, I guess. But what made it sad was the quality of my spicy tuna. It was a day away from being spoiled (pictures included). Service was alright but we had to ask for basics such as chop sticks, plates for our edamame, and we didn't get offered refills on our waters. This place was once a go to spot but now I feel as if it's been slowly but surely declining.

Yoshiharu Ramen serves Hokkaido Japanese ramen and other Japanese dishes. We decided to give Yoshiharu Ramen a try and was a little disappointed. It wasn't busy when we came in for dinner. The restaurant's decor is very cute and fits well with their theme. Our server was nice, but not the best in execution. I requested Wakame (wet seaweed) to be added to the Ramen. We received Nori (dried seaweed) instead. We made the best of it. We also asked for a couple spoons to make it easier to get broth, since we were sharing it. He brought over a couple of plastic spoons??!! He asked if we wanted an egg, which we said yes. But, NO egg in Ramen?! Chicken Ramen: Vegetable Broth with Chicken Base. Broth a little bland- expecting more of a chicken flavoring. More flavor towards the bottom of the bowl. More of a umami flavor. Nice bite on noodles so it was cooked well. The Chicken was a little dry. I liked the Kikurage, wood ear mushroom. Since we were splitting the ramen, we asked for 2 extra bowls. Found the main ramen bowl kept the broth warmer. Potato shrimp- deep fried shrimp wrapped with potato strings. It made for a pretty presentation. Clever idea. However, it did not taste as good as it looked. The potato strips could have used some salt after being fried. It was crunchy. The sweet & sour sauce was good, which helped with the flavor. Crunch Roll Sushi - the shrimp tempura was not as crunchy. The spicy Mayo and Eel sauce very good. Texture inside a little softer than I like. I liked the crunchy bits on top - gives it texture. I really did want to like the food but found it to be just okay.

Pros: Close to home. Easy parking. No waiting. Portions are big! Seating area was clean and inviting. Gyoza was super tasty! Cons: Karaage was like rubber. Tonkotsu Ramen was mid. The employees seemed really nervous and anxious.

If you are hungry and want anything other than ramen don't come here. We came here for dinner on a Friday night it was not packed and we still waited 45 minutes for one roll of sushi, edamame, and bento box. They claimed to only have one chef making all the appetizers and sushi however the restaurant appeared to be full of people eating only ramen. Expect long waits! We had to ask for the edamame as they had forgot about it. They didn't serve wasabi or ginger with the sushi, I had to ask for it. Overall, I would probably try a different location next time.

Decided to try this spot because it was close to where I was staying. Seriously one of the best Ramens Ive ever had. It was there Lobster Ramen, which isn't the reason. The broth was so many depths of flavor. It had a good amount of seafood, the veggies and fries garlic all complemented each other. This place has become one of my regular stops when I'm in town. Great staff and customer service.

Husband and I decided to try this place instead of our favorite pho restaurant next door. They had a BOGO 50% second order of equal or lesser value for appetizers, alcohol and rolls. We ordered their Tonkatsu Spicy Black ramen and Baked Salmon and Shrimp Tempura rolls. Here are our thoughts: * Tonkatsu Spicy Black - Visually, it looked great. The first few bites were great, but then it sort of went downhill from there. We both found the broth to be too cooled down from the ingredients just a few bites in. Their broth either needed to be higher up in temperature or they needed to let their ingredients warm up more before putting it in. Taste-wise, the broth was really salty and oily. I'm a soup girl and definitely drink up as much ramen broth as I can--but I could not with this bowl. I think there was still more than half of the broth left when I was done. * Baked Salmon and Shrimp Tempura Roll - It was a standard baked roll, nothing spectacular. Definitely on the sweeter side, but the imitation crab and shrimp filling helped round it out a bit. It had a special mayo sauce and eel sauce on top. Overall, we weren't that satisfied with our meal. They took a long time to make our food despite being the only ones there initially, but it looked like they were pretty busy with takeout orders. The two server girls weren't very attentive and kind of hung out in the back, where one of them seemed to be training the other. We may come back to try some of their other items like their bentos or rice dishes, but probably won't do their ramen or rolls again.

Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen Ramen cooked to perfect firmness. Full bodied broth.

I liked this place. The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly, firm but not undercooked. The broth was full bodied, but not overly salty, which I feel most ramen places are guilty of. My favorite dish was the bento box. Most bento boxes come out in those painted chipped sectional boxes, but this one was artfully arranged on a black tray, with 4 bowls: neat, clean, and yet artful, in the Japanese aesthetic of detail, refinement, and clean design. The Tempura was exceptional: batter was crunchy and firm with enough flavor, that I found I didn't need the dipping sauce. Overall, the food was excellent, nothing was over salted, I could taste all the flavors, which were clean and refreshing. Decor was also nicely done. Place was clean, furniture in great shape, and the music was at a volume to provide a relaxing atmosphere without intruding on the dining experience. In summary, this place hit all the right check boxes: great food, nothing overdone, excellent presentation, and professional, courteous, attentive wait staff that you would expect from an authentic Japanese establishment. Definitely will be back.

St St. Louis Pork Rib Spicy Miso ramen so delicious

Decided to come here for a late night dinner! So glad we came because food was so good everything has so much flavor! I tried the scallops on the yakitori menu and ordered the karate chicken was soo soft and got the st. louis pork ramen super delicious I can't emphasize enough how delicious this place is! You gotta try! Service is a 10/10 they're super kind and helpful making sure you have the best dine in experience! Love it here this will be my new go to spot! Ambiance is super cute and clean! Definitely will be back!

I am not a frequent yelp reviewer. I try not to leave underwhelming reviews, unless it is severe. I try to be as understanding as possible because I want to support businesses. However, my family and I were very disappointed today. This was my second visit. I came here for my first visit a couple of months ago. During my first visit, the food was spectacular. It was freshly made with high-quality ingredients. The tempura was fabulous with large shrimp and pieces of veggies. The fried oyster and the Cajun Seafoodyaki had the perfect flavor with fresh seafood. My family agreed we should come back for another visit soon. Fast forward a couple of months, we visited for the second time today. And it was truly disappointing. The Takoyaki came out undercooked. It was icy inside when I bit into it. The tempura was small, undercooked, bland, and soggy. The Tako Wasabi was not fresh. The Cajun Seafoodyaki was so tiny compared to what I got during the first visit. The yakitori was subpar, the veggies were tiny, meat was underseasoned. The waiter also said no Sashimi was available since the main chef wasn't there. The hot sake we ordered was bland too. It was overheated to the point that it lost flavor. There was an elder man in the kitchen who kept staring at our table after an item was served. We asked the waiter if the owner or chef had changed. He said the 2 main chefs were out to train other locations. This place must be either cost cutting or lost the chef that was making some fabulous dishes. I understand businesses must make a profit, but seriously, my experience here today was maybe the worst I ever had. And it's so shockingly disappointing since our first visit was so good. I will be exploring the other few Izakaya options in the area instead.

My wife and I are always open to trying new restaurants in our area. We moved to the La Mirada/Whittier area a few years ago and hadn't found a ramen spot until now. Yoshiharu Ramen is beyond delicious, and it's hard to put into words how flavorful the food is. The restaurant has tinted windows, possibly to reduce sunset glare, creating a unique atmosphere. However, the ambiance could be more welcoming, perhaps with some soft music and better organization to make it more inviting. We were first welcomed by the receptionist/waiter named Elena. Elena was very friendly and made my family and me feel comfortable. From the very beginning, she was attentive to our needs and checked on us throughout our dinner to see if we needed anything. There were five of us, and we had the following: * (2) Tonkotsu Miso * (2) Tonkotsu Shoyu * Spicy Miso LV1 * Edamame * Garlic Edamame * Deep Fried Gyoza * Crunch Fire Roll * Jalapeño Bomb Talking about each item individually would make this review endless. The broth for all our dishes was incredibly good. Each plate came with corn, seaweed, bamboo, and other ingredients cooked to perfection. Our favorite appetizer was the Jalapeño Bomb. This dish is to die for--so flavorful and full of great taste in every bite (though it can be a bit messy). Aside from our favorite appetizer, all the dishes were really good. For many restaurants, having a good host and cook is key to success. Elena's service should be recognized and rewarded! But the main person who brings everything together is Peter! We watched Peter in the kitchen, and he was in his zone. The reason I say Peter wraps everything up is because we returned three more times, and the food was consistently flavorful each time. That's a huge plus for us. We got to meet him last night as he finished cooking, checked us out, and cleaned the remaining tables of the night. Such a humble person! I hope Yoshiharu Ramen appreciates and shows their thanks to their employees. Without Peter in the kitchen delivering great flavor in every meal, this place may not be what it is. Thank you, Peter and Elena, for the great experience! We have definitely bookmarked this restaurant as one of our favorites! read more

More and more Ramen chains are popping up all over the place. With ten plus locations throughout the southland, Yoshiharu Ramen has a good product, and is worth a visit. The Tonkotsu Spicy Miso Ramen is very good. The broth has a little bit of heat and overall, a very tasty flavor. I've had this twice and I will have it again. Also good is the Spicy Beef Rice Bowl, as well as a Spicy Tuna Cut Roll. All the flavors are on point. The service is friendly and efficient, and this location is nicely decorated. Also, no stupid hidden fess added to the bill. I will be back. read more

Nice ramen! Your regular options are there! I got the tonkatsu miso ramen and was able to sub the chasu with tofu.bowl comes with flavored eggs because at some places they charge more for eggs as an extra topping. Restaurant had plenty of parking which is a plus! It is located on the side of target where the target center used to be. read more

Our favorite is the beef skewers, they were delicious!!! Cooked perfectly and juicy on the inside. We also got the fish chips, which is light and tasty. Tebasaki wing is good, the unagi is also good.. we weren't able to take pics because we finished them right away! The price is very affordable. Best place for after work de-stress and night out with friends. Highly recommend! read more

Food // I haven't had Yoshiharu in quite sometime, but it has been cold lately so the time had finally come to get a hot bowl of ramen. To start off we ordered some gyozas and crispy rice with spicy tuna. Both of the appetizers were just okay, nothing special, and to be honest I probably would not order them again. For my ramen I went with the Tonkotsu Shoyu (spicy), which was nice and spicy, but the bowl in general was just kind of meh. Location // This shopping center is getting good, there is some good places around here. Parking can be a little tight, but there is a good amount of it around. Inside there is about 10ish tables, but having a large group may be hard as most tables are for 2-4 people. Notes // I am glad I was able to check Yoshiharu off my list of ramen spots to check out this cold winter season, but I think there is plenty of other better ramen spots around. read more

I love the food here. Great options for people who do not eat pork. They have chicken and veggie options which are delicious. I had the veggie ramen and the chicken matsubi. My partner had the pork ramen which was a good portion bowl with lots of topping. Great service as well. Got green tea was delicious as well not generic. Def would recommend to everyone read more

Kind of wish ramen places such as kitakata, or what's up men quality would open up here. Yoshiharu is kind of like your Panda Express, you go there for a quick meal and not expecting anything too awesome Most of the 5 star review here are from those with only 1-2 reviews. So can't be trusted. Got the black tonkatsu and unagi bowl. Unagi was not bad. Ramen was mid. The pork in the ramen was pretty tough and overly cooked. Kind of cold too. Soup was lukewarm. Noodle itself was standard. I think for a quick fix meal it's a doable place. If you love ramen and must have quality ramen then probably go to one of the aforementioned names at the top. But again look for real reviews before calling for the overview inflated stars. read more

My girlfriend usually gets the Yummy Tummy, which is a salmon roll, and I've stolen enough bites to say it's legitimately good. The salmon tastes fresh, the ingredients are well-balanced, and the roll is seasoned nicely without being too heavy. At first, this was just a convenient neighborhood ramen and roll spot near my girlfriend's place. But after coming back multiple times, I realized I actually crave this place. It may not look like some flashy destination restaurant, but it's a genuinely good neighborhood spot that keeps me coming back. 5 stars from me. One thing I'll add is that my girlfriend has ordered delivery from here a few times, and she says it's not nearly as good as dining in. Maybe this is normal for this restaurant, but it is not what most customers would expect. When a restaurant posts a break time of 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, most people assume that orders are accepted until 2:00 PM and that the break time begins at 2:00 PM. That has been my experience at most other restaurants. If dine-in service actually stops at 1:45 PM, then that information should be clearly posted at the entrance, on the kiosk, and online. Otherwise, customers may arrive before the posted break time and still be turned away for dine-in service. In my opinion, if customers need to finish their meals before 2:00 PM, then the restaurant should either post a dine-in cutoff time or list an earlier break time. Other restaurants with a 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM break time typically allow customers to enter and order before 2:00 PM. This appears to be an exception. I made a special trip to eat here and was disappointed by the lack of communication. Going forward, customers should know that a posted break time of 2:00 PM here may effectively mean you need to arrive early enough to finish your meal before 2:00 PM, not simply arrive before 2:00 PM. Because of this experience, I will think twice before returning during lunch hours.

Favs so far are the pistachio latte and peanut butter lattes - they're nutty and rich, not overly sweet! Can't go wrong with a Hazelnut latte. If you're craving something sweet, the salted caramel latte is also great! Great spot for studying/working as well, as there are plennnnty of tables! Honestly, it's one of my go-to places to study at when I was a student now when I work-from-cafe (not home). Took my family here today, and they really enjoyed it! Coffee is superb

Coming here was a great experience. The service from the restaurant was really good especially when Pavi and Ruhchidas was helping us out. I got the Spam masubi, Tuna Onigiri, and one of my friends got a ramen noodle bowl. The food tasted really really good and I would love to come back here. The inside of the ramen restaurant is really calm and has a vibe to it, it feels calm to sit and eat here by yourself or with friends. Would recommend to others to come here. read more

Husband wanted to try out the ramen bowl, which I don't like but agreed since they had bento boxes. He went to go order a pick up and after 10 min they informed him there was no chicken for the bento box. Fine, got salmon, after another 30 min, they told him they had no salmon or anything for the bento boxes! After 40 min of waiting! I thought it was a joke. Wasted time and just asked for our money back. Definitely would not be coming back to try out. read more

The ramen is absolutely delicious!! It's a great affordable price and there serving portion is pretty big. There have quite a few varieties of ramen but this is my second time back in the past month and it is so worth the visit. The service is great and it doesn't get to busy either. There are also bathrooms available, and overall 10/10 recommend. And there are vegetarian options on the menu as well! read more

Came in for the first time to try it out. It is slightly more expensive than other ramen stops but it is light in your stomach and leaves you with that perfect balance of full and content in your stomach. Our service was the best service we have had in California in a while. She was kind prompt and professional. I recommend the spicy tuna sushi as well as the mochi ice cream after. read more

First of all, service was great, the staff was attentive & courteous. I had the Tonkatsu Miso, the broth was savory & delicious. Ingredients tasted fresh especially the crisp green onions they use. I've been to just about all the ramen spots in LA Mirada but I think this one will be my go to now. Definitely recommend this place if you're feeling ramen but don't know where to go. read more

My friend and I were craving some late night food and was surprised that this place was open so late. I got the tonokatsu shoyu ramen. It definitely hit the spot. I also got the beef skirt yakitori. They definitely didnt skimp out on the meat and the flavor was amazing. Staff was super attentive and nice. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place because I'll definitely be back! read more

Delicious ramen finally in La Mirada! We had to give Yoshiharu a try when we saw it next to Stater Brothers. The menu has a good amount of options for ramen, sushi and bento boxes/bowls. One of the most creative and tasty izakaya I've ever been to. Although I'm not really into a raw sashimi however, it got me turned as soon as I tasted there food. All of the foods were well balanced, fresh and even better very affordable price!!! It was my best birthday dinner table that I ever experienced. The tonkotsu shoyu has a really light broth that is not too salty but still fills you up. Not only was the food really good, but the customer service was exceptional. Was excited to try out this place .. was very underwhelming and almost frustrating. We ordered the Cajun ramen and the picture looked great however the dish came out nothing like it with the shrimp and sausages basically nonexistent. The tonkatsu miso and black were underwhelming. I had the spicy black ramen and it was tasty, although a little oily. Our server Jennie was amazing and made sure to check up on us even though it looked like she was very busy. I would give the food 3 stars but I upgraded to 5 stars cause of the outstanding service she gave me and my family. read more
