I have been a loyal Yoshinoya customer for a long time, which is why I was very disappointed by my experience today. When I visited your restaurant, I saw a promotion at the counter that advertised, "Buy a $25 gift card and get $5." There were no additional details displayed explaining that the $5 reward could not be combined with other promotions and required a minimum purchase of $15 to use. While the cashier explained these restrictions after my purchase, I believe these important terms should have been clearly disclosed on the promotional sign before customers decide to buy the gift card. Transparent advertising helps customers make informed purchasing decisions and avoids unnecessary frustration. Unfortunately, the disappointment did not end there. After purchasing my meal, I took it to work and began eating. The brown rice was extremely hard-so hard that it felt like I was chewing rocks. It was clearly undercooked and not suitable to be served. This level of food quality is unacceptable. If the restaurant cannot consistently prepare brown rice properly, it should not be offered to customers until the quality can be ensured. As someone who has supported Yoshinoya for years, I expected much better. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is okay. It isn't too big nor is it too small. I never have any problems with finding a parking spot. The spots there are decent. They aren't too tight. Food: I ordered a chicken plate. Yoshinoya is famous for their Original Beef Bowl but a fair amount of people also order the Chicken plate which is a fairly typical rendition of your common Chicken Teriyaki plate: grilled chicken thigh (skin-on unless you specify otherwise), broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower, and teriyaki sauce over a bed of steamed short grain rice. I love their teriyaki sauce on the chicken. This chicken bowl is super tasty, flavorful, and juicy. The chicken skin was also very crunchy. The steamed and soft veggies are bland, but I usually add soy sauce to it to give some flavors. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, fast, and welcoming. They accept both cash and credit cards. Where do I start? It was a Sunday evening. Yesterday actually. About 8:00 pm. The location is located at the pit of El Monte. May be the worst corner by far in this city. Especially at night. Once u get past all the homeless, addicts, cholos and urine smell then u go in and have to deal w the incredibly poor service. So after receiving my food I realized they didn't give me a fork so had to go back and the dude working was helping this paisa dude that clearly didn't speak any English. Homeboy was helping him over a minute because the Mexican cashier either didn't want to speak Spanish to him or didn't know. 10 times this foo asked him what he wants and the customer didn't know what he was saying. Just for a damn fork, I'm waiting 5 minutes for him to finish the order, the lady on the back sees that I'm clearly frustrated and asked me whated. It is my opinion that Yoshinoya employees are not responsible dealing with any person/persons outside any Yoshinoya establishment (mainly homeless individuals); management or staff can not request another employee to go outside and enforce loitering rule; this action puts not only the employee outside the restaurant in danger but also all staff members. I'm a huge fan of their beef and chicken bowls. It's one of my favourite places to get to-go meals. It's cheap when you have coupons, and by far this place is really nice. I believe it was remodel a year ago yet it looks really clean and comfortable to dine in. The portions are decent, but presentation wise is lacking. Got my meal and it looks like the meats were slapped randomly in the middle. The food is still good and I would come again, but presentation of meal is definitely not their forte. read more

The worst Yoshinoya branch I have ever been to. Don't even bother. Please, go anywhere but this one. I should have never stopped by this location to buy anything, it is the worst place you can go, full of low-class employees who don't give damn about their jobs, let along any customer service. I ordered 4 plates, 2 of them came out wrong, 2 out of 4. And the food they serve is so poor looking and badly thrown together like they really really don't give a damn. I'm a Yoshinoya regular. Driving around a lot I try different locations often and I would have to say this was my least favorite experience so far. The cashier Annette was friendly but everyone else behind the counter looked as if their dog passed away recently.. I have purchased the Asian BBQ Bowl at several locations and this one had the worst presentation of them all. The meatballs looked like they came out of a back to the microwave to my plate and instead of the meat balls being made in the sauce they were plain and had the sauce drizzled over them instead meaning my rice was now covered in the sauce.
