This is by far the worst location. The employees were like they don't want to work there. Every time when you speak to them, they're not even paying attention. It's like their mind was in La La Land or something. The quality is not as good as the ones in Downey and East LA. Sometimes they give you more; sometimes they give you less. I'm really disappointed with my experience here. According to my receipt, the employee who helped me was Daniela. From the start, she had a very unfriendly attitude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by ordering. She had an angry expression and was not welcoming at all. After placing my order, I went next door to grab food for my child and came back 20 minutes later to check if it was ready. When I asked if they had called my number yet, another employee reacted as if it were unreasonable for me to even ask, even though it had already been a while. Then, when it was time for my number to be called, she stood there repeating my number over and over, knowing it was mine and clearly just being rude. In total, I waited 30 minutes, which feels excessive for fast food. The restaurant was completely packed, and we had to wait 30 minutes just to get a table. Seeing how busy it was, I assumed the food would be worth the wait. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The chicken was extremely salty and basically inedible. I could only manage a few bites. Ono's is so nostalgic to me because I use to get it after my collegiate games. I always get the pick two because I like the salad just a bit more than I do of the mac salad (unpopular opinion). Also no sauce on my salad! They packed my bowl and I was not able to finish all at once. Ate it the day after and it was still very good! I've always enjoyed onos and this place is no different. Picked up an online order at 7:30 and had no issues. They pack tons of sauce for you for pickup which is also nice. I tried out the bbq beef musubi for the first time and would say it's worth a try, personally feel like it's better than the spam musubi. For the mains I got the melemele curry chicken and it tasted like it had some Indian spices. Overall pretty good but don't know if I'd go to onos for that. The second main I had was the kalbi short ribs and they were fire as always. Overall a pretty good experience! read more

Ono is one of my favorite go-to meals when I want some etching satisfying and most importantly, to get me full! I've never dined at the Rosemead location yet but thanks to the Yelp Elite event I was glad it introduced me to this branch. Ashley was so helpful and such a sweetheart when coming to take my order. Although I've had Ono before, I felt like trying something new and letting Ashely choose for me. She was able to answer all my questions, give me suggestions, and allowed me to alter some of the order to encompass everything I wanted. Thank you! I was lucky to get in right before the dinner rush to order but never felt rushed. The service was quick, my order being ready in about 5 minutes. The food was hot and fresh and smelled amazing. I always love their BBQ Chicken and Beef. Tender chicken made with thigh so you know it's gonna be good. Galbi sometimes is hit or miss but I just wanted to try it, bit oily in general. Veggies under are always just good to cut through the meat but THE MAC SALAD. I usually order extra but it's always a staple when it comes to Ono orders. My partner said the katsu was really crispy and had a good amount of meat. Biggest advice is to NOT LEAVE WITHOUT SAUCE. If anything ask for extra if you like sipping like me. First, my friend had asked the cashier before ordering if she can order the aloha plate and substitute the salad with macaroni instead. The cashier said yes so she ordered and paid. As we were waiting for our food, the cashier called her back and said she couldn't substitute it so my friend ended up ordering the extra side which if she was told that they couldn't substitute it to begin with, she could've just ordered the add-on side but instead, had to pay the full price of the side. Secondly, I ordered an aloha plate with chicken katsu and island white fish but I was only given the chicken katsu. Served with rice and Macaroni Salad the meal is a meat lover's afternoon delight. Even with the available sauces I've felt that they were unnecessary because the meats were so flavorful already. The short ribs were nice and tender from the fat and sweet savory BBQ sauce - like eating meat candy. The chicken was great too with its tangy smokey flavor. The beef was also enjoyable but was eclipsed by the short ribs. Being a glutton I also had a Spam Musubi which is fried Spam with Japanese rice wrapped in Seaweed. Quite good.
