Went to check out the $10 meal deal that includes half a Santa Barbara char, 5 piece chicken bites and a choice side (we chose salad but our friends ordered fries). Overall the meal was very tasty and satisfying. I liked the Santa Barbara Char which includes avocado, carmelized onion, with a beef patty on sourdough. The chicken bites were very crispy with a good amount of chicken. The salad was better than expected but the fries for some reason were not good. Knocking down a star since the fries weren't crispy, maybe refried and cold. Quite disappointing but I guess better I ate less fries. The service was okay and the space seemed clean. They told me about a special promotion that Habit was running and they mentioned how great the charburgers are here and how I had to try them. I downloaded the app and created an account. I received an email for a promotion where you get a free charburger with a purchase. I ordered the Charburger for my son and I ordered a regular drink to fulfill the promotion. The lemonades and different drinks they have here are lovely. We kept going for refills of the lemonade. I ordered a Double Charburger with cheese for myself and it was excellent. I thought that carmelized onions compliment the burger quite well. It is a little on the salty side. However, not as salty as Amboy, though. I would absolutely come back here again. There's plenty of parking but can get chaotic. This location has loads of seating with booths indoors and tables outdoor. They now have kiosks, which wasn't there last time I visited but it has been a while. The service was good and food arrived at a good time. I got the desert drip charburger. It was quite good and flavorful. Not too spicy. Also the coffee milkshake is delicious. Definitely a shake you can drink easily with a straw. I'll still keep returning here. read more

I would say they are pretty decent in terms of typical fast food joints but a bit better quality. Their char burgers are pretty good and juicy which I like. They are definitely filling especially if you get a side of fries. My favorite drink has to be the dragonfruit limeaide. It's definitely on the sweeter side but with some water to dilute it, it's yummy! read more

I came here to the Habit Burger & Grill with my sister for dinner the other day. The food was very good just like the other locations that I've been to. This is the first time that I've tried the bbq Bacon Charburger. I've gotten their charburgers and their Santa Barbara Char burgers plenty of times. These are one of the few fast food places that have sweet potato fries and I'm also a huge fan of limeade and agua fresca that they had available. I feel like there are actually aren't too many table so it could easily get filled up. Luckily when we got in there were two tables that were free. When you first walk in you place your order at the register. Then they hand you a pager and a few minutes later your food will be ready where you can go pick it up. They have a very elaborate condiment bar as well so you are able to make the perfect sauce or toppings to go with your food. Overall, there is a lot of parking here in this plaza so it shouldn't be an issue unless it's during very busy times you might have to walk a little bit further. The parking lot for this store is awful! It's much easier to park in the nearby lot across the street and walk. I visited this location twice over the 5/3/25 weekend. They got my order wrong both times, both in the same way. Once I ordered in person, the second on kiosk. Both times I requested no tomato and extra pickles. Both times I got no pickles and slice of tomato. On the first burger, I asked for a burger, not a cheeseburger or a burger with cheese. I got a cheeseburger and, on checking the receipt, was charged an extra dollar (!) for a slice of plasticky American cheese. The seasoning on the beef is very inconsistent. Some bites were extremely salty! There is not a lot to say about the decor of this location. It's relatively clean, and it's convenient to visit after you've shopped in the nearby plaza. There's a good amount of seating, but it all overlooks the parking lot. Overall, I cannot recommend this location. The staff were friendly, but definitely need to improve order accuracy. read more

Update. Make sure your burger is decent and ratio of condiment is appropriate. I got a charburger with what looks like a bottle of mayo lost its cap and it just slathered all offer it. It was pretty nasty to eat honestly (see pic). Next time before I take it to go again, i will have to check the contents first. Always good and you can see from far away the fire charring those patties to perfection. The cashier was super nice and quick even thought the self service kiosk is right next to it, she still helped me with full energy. This restaurant is very clean and not messy like some others. Parking: Located in the Rosemead Place Shopping Center, parking is shared among the nearby businesses. There are lots of parking spots, but the area right near the food places are typically full. But if you don't mind walking a bit, you can save the headache of fighting for a spot. Environment: I placed an order ahead of time using the app. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. When I arrived, I walked up to the counter to let them know I was there for pickup. When I got home, I noticed they didn't give me any napkins. Boo! I made an online order for pickup. When I got there, nothing was on the pickup shelves. Lots of people were waiting. I waited. As I watched for 5 mins, my pickup time hits the mark. I waited.. another 5 mins.. the workers started packing orders for all the people waited.. Ordered the Charburger, Portabella Char, BBQ Bacon Char, Tempura Green Beans, 1/2 Sweet Potato Fries and 1/2 French Fries, and a Mocha Shake. The original Charburger is average small sized with a nice juicy beef patty. The Portabella Char adds mushrooms, roasted garlic aioli and cheese which ups the level from the original charburger. This is much more flavorful and great for a mushroom fan. The BBQ Bacon Char has your typical bacon slices on top of the same beef patty and barbecue sauce. This one can be recommended for someone passing by that craves BBQ sauce. The Tempura Green Beans were nicely fried with a crunch to them and intact pods inside. The Sweet Potato Fries tasted indeed like sweet potatoes, crispy and soft inside. The regular French Fries were about average for the fast food fries segment. The Mocha Shake was a delightful sweet treat with the chocolatey flavor and an almost thawing ice cream like consistency. Staff here were patient taking orders and efficient in getting orders in and out the door. You can order with the help of a staff member or you can use their self-service kiosks too. I am not knocking the burger as it was juicy and hearty but maybe not for my palette. If you like a charbroil burger then it's worth trying The Habit. We ordered the seasonal jalapeno burger. Given the fact that they have jalapeno/chili self serve bar conveniently located across the soda fountain, you are better off getting your standard cheeseburger and adding the chili. It was tiny especially in comparison to the BBQ Bacon burger with cheese that we also ordered. 2 burgers and 1 order of fries will run you around $20. This was my first time trying The Habit and the girl at the register was so nice and helpful. She managed to make a joke which was great too. I love when staff interact with patrons so I appreciated her energy. The space was clean and the food came out quickly. Yesterday before going to work I stopped by to get something to eat after shopping at that center. First the lady never said hi or what would you like to order. I ordered and told her "no onions or pickles". I get my order and the burger had onions, mind you it wasn't packed it was Saturday at 4. I told her and she said we could remake it I told her no that I was in a hurry. Then the fries were all hard by that time I was upset having to take out all the onions. I didn't even finish my hamburger and left the fries. I told the manager which was the lady who took my order (I was surprised she was rude) about my fries being hard and that to reheat they should only be 15 seconds, she just said ok. No sorry I just told her "next time pay attention to the orders thank you". As a manger she should be more welcoming.
