Yum! I'm a fan! Tucked away in the Centennial area. The restaurant is small and when we arrived, there was no one there. They received a lot to go orders via phone and Uber eats though. Service was quick. Got our waters and ordered quickly. Received our food pretty quickly too. Ordered a chicken katsu curry and the chicken fried rice omelette. The katsu was breaded nicely and tasted delicious. It came with a good amount of curry. The omelette and rice were so good. I wasn't a fan of the tomato sauce around it, but that's just my preference. We saw on Yelp the matcha Mont Blanc and wanted it but they only had black sesame. And it was delicious! We found this place in Vegas while off the strip. It's a nice Japanese restaurant that serves up some good food. We ordered the Takoyaki, Omurice (chicken omelette rice with house special sauce) and Pork cutlet Katsu curry. The Omurice was very tasty. Eggs were cooked well and not overcooked. The Pork Katsu cutlet was lightly breaded, tender, and crispy. The Takoyaki was crispy, soft and delicious. All the presentations were nice. The service was friendly and fast. I went to Japan recently, and I've been missing the wonderful food I had during my Japan travels. More specifically, I've been craving omurice (japanese omelette). We arrived right when they opened at noon. This place has a fair amount of seating. I like how they have padded seating. Most japanese restaurants don't have cushions for seating, but this place does and I'm glad. Restrooms were clean, and I like whatever custom soap and lotion they have in the restrooms. There was 1 person working as a host and server, but it was around lunch when it wasn't too busy since they barely opened when we got there. He was a young man, very friendly, fast, and efficient. He took our orders without writing anything down, which always amazes me when servers work like that, especially when all our orders came out right. We ordered the chaschu Japanese omelette, takoyaki,chicken paitan ramen, curry with kurobuta sausage, beef with udon, and original japanese crepe cake. Presentation of the omurice was beautiful; however, It appears as if the omelette could've been thicker and fluffier. It was a nice presentation of the omelette, but there was more rice, pork, and sauce than actual omelette. Chicken paitan ramen was my favorite. The broth was rich but not too salty, and the chicken was very tender. Comes with thick wavy noodles Curry with kurobuta sausage was very good too. The japanese crepe cake was perfect to share between two people. Perfect amount of sweetness to dessert. Overall, wonderful authentic japanese spot. read more

They offer a variety of appetizers, specialty dishes like Japanese Chashu Omelets with special sauce, salads, rice bowls, Japanese curries, a variety of ramens, desserts, and soft beverages are served here. We started out with a few appetizers - The fried oysters and the chicken karaage. The oysters weren't bad but maybe needed to be rinsed better because they had a can taste to them. The chicken karaage wasn't bad either but had a very unusual texture like similar to when you over marinate something. WE LOVED OUR MAIN PLATES! I had the smoked salmon salad. Everything about it was delicious! It was also a nice large generous size. It was a really great salad! My husband loved the beef udon with egg. It was all delicious and it was a real treat to get them special chewy noodles. We were thinking about ordering one of the interesting sounding desserts but they were out of most of the desserts on our visit. Our server was really great handling the whole restaurant by himself. I'll start off with I used to LOVE this place like once or twice a month I'd come in. I got the miso ramen and the only thing hot was the broth. The pork, eggs, literally all the ingredients inside were still cold and I asked for more broth to heat it up but it didn't make it better. Came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday and I have to say it was definitely not worth the drive. The food was ok at best and honestly my fiancé and I were disappointed with our best friends a bit on how overly salty the omurice was. The house special sauce was a bit too salty and overpowered the rest of the dish so it was difficult for any of us to finish. I didn't even get a photo of the ahi plate that one of my best friends got because it came later and looked like a giant plate overflowing with mixed greens, edamame, and seaweed salad with a small portion of actual ahi. The best dish we ordered was the beef donburi, but it tasted like every other Japanese spot that makes a traditional donburi like that, so it wasn't too special. Service was friendly, but we noticed she came back a few of times to ask what we ordered after we told her a couple times, even though it was quite slow and there were only three other tables when we were sat. Ambiance was quaint and the place was tidy. Overall, it was ok, but definitely not in our experience deemed incredible, especially, compared to other places in town. I was most excited to try the Omurice since I haven't had it since being in Japan, but it wasn't what I expected at all. The management really seem to care about the patron experience, so we will come try this spot again in the future, but for now it will not be on our radar for frequent regular lunch spots. Solid Japanese restaurant in the Centennial area. Being originally from Hawaii, this is the kind of Japanese food I ate growing up. Items tried and liked (so far): Crab Cheese Croquette Curry. Croquette was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Curry was as expected, flavorful and delicious. Karaage Chicken. Best karaage i've ever had. Our friend raved about Yoshiya Kitchen, especially because they offered the elusive omurice. On our first visit, the Husband ordered the Japanese Omelette Rice with Kurabata Sausage $14.95. He enjoyed it as our friend devoured the Chicken version of this dish. I ordered the Pork Katsu Curry $12.95 and it was tasty curry. The pork was tender and initially good, but did need a bit more fat. I also felt like there wasn't enough curry sauce provided. Our return visit was a year and a half later. This time the Husband and Little Gal both ordered the Pork Katsu Curry and the Little Guy ordered the 4 Piece Fried Oyster Curry $12.95 and Tako Wasabi $4.95. This time, the pork wasn't as tender and required a bit more elbow work to cut the meat. Again, I wish there was more fat and actual curry sauce. The Little Guy had to order more rice as their portion wasn't enough. The Tako Wasabi is a pretty small portion compared to other restaurants. I ordered the 2 Piece Fried Oyster $3.95 and it was good. The Little Gal also ordered the Purple Sweet Potato Blanc Cake $4.95. This was an interesting dessert with a universal texture throughout the whole thing. My friend ordered a ramen dish and I did want to point out that her ramen egg was perfectly jammy. It was a pretty impressive yolk they got on that egg. Overall, Yoshiya Kitchen was a 3.5 star experience for us. There are other Japanese curry spots in town that we do favor more, and their signature dish wasn't calling out to us this time around. read more
