When I used to live here, I saw that this was a grand opening and went inside to check it out. I tried several flavors. I'm not a yogurt person but this yogurt was pretty good especially the pomegranate. Very thick consistency like gelato ice cream! I did not add that many toppings though because it does get pricier if you add too many. I know I always add the mini Reese's chocolate cups and they taste so damn good along with ms go chunks! So good! I don't like other toppings like the raspberries or granola on my yogurt. It tastes bad with that mix. They have different yogurt cup sizes here. The store also has a weird smell of something I cannot put a name to it but every time I go inside YoSweets, it smells weird. Nothing bad about it but it's just weird. It's just bad froyo. The consistency and texture of the frozen yogurt didn't feel right and it melted into a strange watery mess. It felt more water based than cream based. I wouldn't recommend it--also sat poorly on both me and my girlfriends tummy's. It's also very expensive--like a lot more expensive than typical midtown froyo. Unsure if that's because of COVID but it was almost $18 for me and my girlfriend. On a positive note, the lady behind the counter was nice and the plastic spoons were temperature sensitive and turned blue which was neat. read more

I am not impressed with this business. The floors and tables were all filthy. It was pretty busy but only one employee was working so I understand why the lobby was dirty. The girl left my smoothie in the blender for too long so it was more like a well-blended juice, not what I was expecting. It tasted okay but honestly not worth the price. Would not recommend. Also I hate touching trash can lids and you have to manually open the can that they have. Gross. read more

This is the only fro yo place in Washington Heights (although I predict more to come soon with the rapid rate of yuppie-fication happening around us), and it's pretty dang good! There are probably 10ish flavors or so and an extensive topping selection. The tart and strawberry/chocolate mix were divine! It also seems to be a lot cheaper than 16 Handles and Pinkberry, and there's a loyalty card for a free fro-yo with 5 stamps. Only downside is the employees, as other reviewers have alluded to, are grumpy and rude. A small price to pay for delicious frozen dairy noms. read more

It is a very unclean store and they have very rude customer service. The person behind the counter had told my child that she didn't give her the right amount of money when in fact she was given more then called for. When something was said, the the worker proceeded to yell at her and when I called to confront her about talking to my child like that she proceeded to yell at me over the phone. I was really excited to see this place pop up down the street from us. With bubble tea an frozen yogurt, it has a few of my favorites to offer within a short walk-something we've never had in this neighborhood. So far, I've gone twice. The first time, my wife and I shared a frozen yogurt. They have a diverse selection of both yogurts and toppings, and the owner kindly offered us a sample of any flavor we wanted to try. We bought a small dish of the regular yogurt with a few pieces of fruit. The total came to $4.60. I found this to be a bit pricey given that places like Pinkberry offer a better deal with comparable quality. The next time we went we chose green tea bubble teas. The flavor was nice for the most part, a little weak, but not too sweet. Overall a nice treat at under $3 a piece. Basically, I would go back for bubble tea, but unless I'm desperate, I'll keep looking for a cheaper option for yogurt. read more

Im sooooo happy this location opened up here! Love fro-yo. Its an average store--very clean! Decent options for yogurt, lots of toppings! However, if you say you're open until 11pm, counting down the drawer at 10:30 right next to the toppings, looks a little busted. I asked to make sure it was still 11pm and the manager/owner told me that sometimes if it's slow, they start to close earlier. Okay but I want to sit and enjoy my yogurt and now I can't because your staff is giving me the "we wanna go home" stink eye So if you get a late night sweet tooth, know that if its within 15-30 minutes before closing, you might be met with a locked door. This spot is a nice addition to the Washington Heights area. They have Bubble Tea, Smoothies, Fresh Juices, and frozen yogurt. The customer service is very welcoming and friendly. I was able to sample various frozen yogurt options before making my selection. I went the with Pomegranate Raspberry since the other flavors tasted more like ice cream and I wanted something on the sweeter side to go with my fruit sides. It was very sweet in comparison to other pomegranate frozen yogurt variations I have tried. The catch is that you are charged by weight rather than size ($55 cents per lb). The only cup option is large which can fit quiet a bit so keep that in mind with racking up on the sides. I look forward to trying some of the bubble tea options in the future. read more

Brilliant idea to open up a froyo place in Washington Heights, since it is the ONLY one here (I think) :) While I was trying to decide on which flavor to get, a young lady that worked there offered samples. After trying the red velvet, I got that. I like that it wasn't tart and that it wasn't too sweet. I can't stand Pinkberry's tart flavors. Luckily, I was craving froyo, so I didn't mind getting the little bucket of froyo and mind you, even though I was craving it, it still was a bit much - I think it would be good to split it with someone else. They had plenty of toppings to choose from! The store was clean and bright. Staff was friendly and cheerful. If you use your credit card, you have to spend a minimum of $5 - I didn't want to get more froyo, so I ordered ice tea; however, they had no sugar for the ice tea! That's something they definitely need to stock up on! I will definitely go back - I want to try their bubble teas! read more

This is a locally owned frozen yogurt place and I want it to succeed But in my view there's a lack of cleanliness. The few times I've been in there there is there an overwhelming aroma which I can just not handle. The frozen yogurt in general is OK but very boring. Funny when you go to your local hardware store to get a new screen for your window and are suddenly greeted by a sign that states a frozen yogurt shop will be opened in the summer. Well, froyo IS exciting, but I kind of wanted to keep the flies out of my room a little better. Ha! Moving on... Though a few have opened up in Inwood, I'm pretty sure this is the only froyo place in Washington Heights at this time. My stomach both loves and loathes the fact that it's opened up pretty much diagonally across the street from my apartment building. The interior is similar to any other self-serve froyo place you've been to. There are roughly a dozen different flavors as well as a bar filled with fruits, candies, and sauces to top your creation off. At 52 cents an ounce (if I recall correctly), the beau and I each got a decently-filled bowl at only $8 TOTAL. Normally, a single bowl of froyo at these self-serve places cost me a good $9 - $10 dollars each, despite my constant concerted efforts to make them as light as possible weight-wise. Haaa. That price shocked me! The product? Good. I was pleased with the Bananas Foster and Vanilla combined with some strawberries and shredded coconut. The Cookies & Cream flavor was pretty delicious as well. This place also sells fresh-squeezed juices, smoothies, and bubble tea! Hello, gentrification. WaHi finally has its froyo. Haaa. I never make my yogurt cup exceed $5 , and I never have cash on me, so when I went to this store for the first time last night to happily pay for my $4.42 cup of froyo, I couldn't. I was forced to add more stuff, in turn paid $5.42 and got a tummy ache :( the other froyo places in inwood do not have a minimum and therefore I wouldn't come back here unless I had cash. read more

a friend came to visit me last year when i first moved to the heights, and we were craving ice cream but the only place around seemed to be baskin robbins. cue a couple months later, suddenly yosweets popped up practically next to the A train exit, practically around the corner from my apartment. oh my god, heaven! my roommate and i frequent this place often - the bananas foster froyo is amazing, and imagine my sadness when it finally was rotated out. then imagine my disappointment even more when yosweets CLOSED for the winter! some of us even want to eat frozen desserts even when we are freezing outside! happily, yosweets is back for the summer and it looks like my bananas foster is back as well. my only wish is that they would add cookie dough bites to the toppings! anyway, the store is clean and has never been too crowded. we always get our cups to-go, but there is a small seating area at the front of the store if you feel like hanging out. read more

If you're yearning for your childhood (and you're over 25) try their strawberry bubble tea - it tastes exactly like the bubble-gum flavored medication they used to give children (hence my over 25 rider - I don't know if that stuff is still a thing). Sad to say, it bears no resemblance whatever to strawberry bubble tea. If you're looking for that, I would avoid. I can't speak to their frozen-yogurt/soft serve, but it looks pretty decent. Bought a smoothie from this place, only to discover a fly inside after drinking some. When I complained was told that since I already drank part of it, they can't do anything for me.
