These guys are simply amazing. They were super professional, super efficient and SUPER FUNNY. Chris, Paul, Melvin, and Richard took ALL anxiety about moving away. They packed boxes properly so nothing was damaged. They wrapped furniture before loading it so nothing would be scratched or damaged. I cannot recommend them more highly. But fortunately I had a great set of guys helping me process & pack my life up after 7 years in the same place and they got me on my way. I have never had a move go so smoothly or be so fun! Chris went over and above to accommodate my very last minute and slightly scattered move! It started with the phone call where Chris did everything to calm this stressed girl. He was clear with the estimate and up front, knowing all questions to ask (since I clearly do not). He then came by to assess how much stuff I had, updated the estimate and even did the move that same day! The move was just so easy! I have got to say that unfortunately my review is much like Jeff's. I was scheduled to move on a Saturday, where I was given a window of 8-10am. At around 950, cause I had heard absolutely nothing from anyone, I called the "call center", where I confirmed that I was on the schedule. The girl told me it was strange I hadn't heard from anyone, that she would call the "team", and have them give me a call as soon as possible. At 1020 when I still hadn't heard from anyone I called the "call center" once again. This time the girl on the phone put me on hold while she tried to get a hold of the team herself. After being on hold for about 8 mins, she came back and told me that nobody answered, nobody was responding, and she could not reach anyone. I was instantly furious. I asked her to speak to a supervisor, where she told me there was no supervisor for me to speak to, she can't give me that number, but she could open up a case in the complaint dept. Are you joking me?? I was basically sitting there not knowing if anyone was going to show up at all. I was beyond angry. Moving is so stressful already and to be left sitting like a duck is too much. We began calling to look for other movers that could come on such last minute notice. About 30 mins later I also( like the other review) received a phone call from Troy, the LA regional manager. He was very apologetic and took full responsibility. He claimed the "team" had gone to another job first when they were supposed to come to mine, which was a lie. Come to find out they basically just forgot about us. I got the runaround from Troy for hours. Instead of picking up the phone to call me again he proceeded to text me saying they were trying to find a team. He kept telling me they were on their way and that they would definitely offer me a discount because "they really dropped the ball". I wish I had just went ahead and hired the other movers to come last minute but I thought truly this company will try to make things right. Boy, was I wrong. Two guys, bless their hearts, finally showed up around 230pm. By now we had already started moving things ourself and my boyfriend and our friend helped these two guys all day to try and get the job done. We also were unable to go to our storage unit, which had been part of the initial agreement, because they were so late it had closed for the day by the time they were done at our apt. We would now have to do that ourselves, or hire another moving company to do so. Good old Troy was going to give me a 10% discount for their mistake! What a joke! When I told Troy 10% dud the seem like much he told it's because they're a " franchise and I can't do much more than that". Troy was also nowhere to be found at 730 Going on 8pm when we were finally done. He had stopped responding to my text messages long before. This move, and this company was the worst experience. I beg you all to not put yourself through this and go with a different company. Terrible, terrible customer service. read more

Don't do business with You Move Me. I was in correspondence with an associate at the corporate sales office, Valentino, for 6 days leading up to my move. I confirmed the pricing structure with him on 3 separate occasions prior to the move, including once upon the arrival of the movers at the pick up location. All of those conversations ended up being useless since I was charged twice as much as the amount I was quoted; the difference coming from California regulations requiring moving companies to charge a certain amount per hour for driving time (something that wasn't communicated to me). I'm currently disputing the charge with my credit card company but hopefully this post helps someone avoid the misery I'm experiencing from giving this company my business. read more

Rey, Ron and Robert = Perfection. First, called ahead time to verify our needs. Showed up ON time, and did not mess around. They reviewed my estimate, and got to work. Seriously. Did not pause, stop, they worked. Even while moving our zillions of boxes laughed, joked and were so pleasant. Professional, funny and serious and about their job. A hard marriage to find, but they had perfect synergy. They don't ask for Yelp reviews, push for deals. They do their job. They got the job done in 1/2 the time quoted. So So grateful for them. When eight great friendly guys show up on time--and bring you coffee!--you know it's going to be a good day. I've moved several times and have encountered many different moving companies. This one was by far the best! We moved an entire office complete with seven large desks that needed to be taken apart and reassembled. These guys did it all within the time frame and budget they estimated. They even came back the next day to move a heavy desk away from an outlet so we could get all of our electronics set up--and offered to carry away our empty boxes. They are especially good at packing-- I have hired them three times (which speaks for itself, doesn't it) and all three times they have packed for me, (as well as moved me) very expediently, and also very well as nothing broke and it was all secured and safe. One of the best things about You Move Me is Chris, the supervisor for OC. He has been on all my moves and he has such a great attitude and sense of humor. Moving is one of the least "fun" experiences one can have, and he helps that so much by his personality and attitude. Arrived within time span. However, they did not call me and ask what kind of coffee I like nor did they bring me any coffee. Loading the truck went pretty quick as I had everything neatly arranged in one room. Unloading went fairly quick as well. The problem came in where they ripped my black leather couch and offered me clear tape to repair it. There were other scratches and dings. I left a voicemail for Lauren Creck as well as emails and she has yet to return my calls or emails. Their overall service - alight... Would I use them again - no... Would I recommend them - no. My family had three separate moves around LA over the last four months and You Move Me handled each one very efficiently, responsibly and with fair prices. All the movers were super friendly and handled themselves very professionally. The general manager, Chris Ruberg, was especially great to work with. He has a great sense of humor, was extremely helpful and he and his crew were always willing to do whatever they could to make our various moves as easy and pleasant as possible. This is the second time that our company has used You Move Me. We were undergoing a remodel and they did a great job moving us across the street to our temporary office. After a few months it was time to move back and we called the team over at You Move me. We did a walk through to just go over what was going to be brought over, we were given a quote and a few days later we started our move. The guys working were quick and careful and very organized with all our furniture and office files. We are a pretty big company with a lot of people and lots of different offices within one building. Having moved over 9 times in the last 8 years boy do I have horror stories to tell. But not this time, You Move Me.... now these guys know how to get the job done. Helpful phone service when booking, showed up on time, and worked their "backsides" off on our behalf. Looked professional, even the truck is very nice and not some giant eye sore for my new neighbors. The guys Martin, Josh and Gerrit were upbeat, hard working and frankly a joy to have around. My last move by a company called Meatheads was the worst move experience of my life. "You Move Me" changed my entire moving experience. I wouldn't consider using someone else in the future. My team of guys took moving a couch to a whole new level, awesome guys!!! Now on the honest side my final bill was a bit higher than my original quote, but within reason of the job completed and it involved one entire extra guy working all day too.
