Yes. It's just a hot dog. But damn, it's a good hot dog. Admittedly, I avoided Yoyo's the cart for years, namely because I had hard time justifying an $8 hot dog that I would need to wait 40 minutes just to sniff. The wait is a non-factor at this location in POST Market (#1), which happens to be one of the best food stalls in their star studded lineup. The menu is literally just the hot dog and it's breakdown of ingredients. There are a few drink options on the menu from soda to lemonade, but that's it. It's a simple menu and I'm all for it. The hotdog ($8) was described to me by their hypeman behind the counter: "It will change your life." An excellent slogan indeed. The all-beef hot dog is sliced and grilled and topped with a combination of onions (fried + caramelized) with many drizzles of honey mayo, yoyo's hot sauce, and layer of cream cheese. It doesn't sound like something that works well together, but it does. The end result is that I want more than one, perhaps 2 or 3 in a sitting. Came by the Post as a tourist to check out the food hall and rooftop. My friend suggested we try out YoYo Hot Dogs. Simple menu, hot dog and drinks. Got the YoYo Beef, it was awesome, really like the fried onions, gave it a nice crispy fried texture. I believe the food stand location is slightly cheaper from reviews I read. Regardless, I highly recommend. read more

Rating: 3.3/5 [take out] We got the beef bulgogi fries ($7) to share as a snack for our group of four. It's like an Asian-Mexican fusion twist. The fries were crispy, but I wasn't a fan of the bulgogi because it had a strange texture, almost like a mix between soft tofu and ground beef. The flavors were just okay, though we didn't add cheese, which might have made a difference. read more

Not bad, I gave it 4 stars because honestly if I'm paying 8 dollars plus tax, I'd like some fries or even a small drink on the side. I opted out for the cram cheese and added the hot sauce on the side, which literally was put on the side lol. Overall I don't see myself going back to have the only one dog that they have, but it was a nice experience read more

Yoyo's Hot Dogs is an iconic Houston food stand. For many years, they would post up in Rice Village late night. And there would be long lines to try the best hot dogs in town. Because I don't like waiting, I never gave them a try. So I was more than pumped when they became a vendor at POST Market. Ambiance (5/5): As a vendor at a food hall, they don't really have their own individual aesthetic. But they are in a great spot. POST is my favorite food hall in town. Service (5/5): Not much of an experience here either as you really just place your order at the counter and then your dog will be ready in a few minutes. With that being said, the lady working the counter was friendly. Drinks (5/5): I'm a sucker for good juice/lemonade/tea options outside of your typical soda machine fare. You'll find that at Yoyo's. They're known for their orange lemonade. Try one. Food (5/5): Their menu consists of two items so not much when it comes to variety but what they do, they do well. Their signature hot dog is an all-beef frank that comes with caramelized onions, fried onions, and several sauces. With all of the sauce action, your hot dog will look amazing. And the good news is that it tastes just as amazing. One of the best, if not the best, hot dog I've had in my life. It lives up to the hype. One of my favorite vendors at POST and for good reason. I'm SO glad that I got to see what the hype was about and it's SO worth it! For $8 you get a grilled loaded hotdog! Im sure others have named the toppings so I won't repeat it. But I loved every bite of it! This will probably be one of my new faves in POST Market! I also got their loaded fries. It was pretty good too with a slight sweet taste to it. But the hotdog won me over. I would only go for 1 or the other. I wouldn't need both at the same time. There were 2 staff working and they held the fort down! With the same items I'm sure that helped keep them in flow. I almost went back for another dog today lol. read more

Menu is about is easy as it can get. You get the HotDog! Post is a pretty big food hall with about 20ish vendors, so there's something for everyone truly. Some cold drinks and a house made orange lemonade round out the rest of the offerings here. The actual weenie has nice beef flavor with a consistent texture and great snap from the grill. Everything else on top just works. Double onions is great, carmalized and fried together is peak! Plenty of sauce and this is just about as close to a perfect bite as it gets. Like maybe you could add a pickle. read more

Kind and friendly service. It was a quality hotdog - the meat tasted like a quality hot dog. The toppings were an interesting mix that went well together. I was appreciative that it served hot and tasted fresh. Overall it was tasty however I don't think I'll indulge in this treat again due to price. Yoyo's Hot Dogs At the Post, I believe there is only four items on the menu. The Yoyo Hot dog on a toasted potato bun with homemade honey mayo sauce, curry ketchup, sirracha, caramelized onions, crispy fried onions,warm cream cheese and pepper. I used to go to this place a concerning amount when it was a food truck on Old Richmond in Sugarland. Every bite remains as good as the very first. Wait time was nonexistent and the orange lemonade is the perfect balm to this disrespectful weather. read more

First time trying Yo-Yo hot dogs! I like how the menu is very straightforward, as an indecisive person. The beef hot dog was very well cooked and delicious. It was not greasy at all. Very friendly service from the cashier and staff. Orange lemonade was tasty and refreshing. Considering the price of other establishments, might be the cheapest meal/hearty snack at the post food court. Def highly recommend stopping by!! read more

They only sell one hotdog, but hey, it works. I've been wanting to try their hotdogs for some years now. Now that I live close by, I figured let me give it a try. I really enjoyed the quality of the beef for the hotdog. It was amazing. I do like the hotdog that I got that was on their standard menu. However, I wish they would deviate and let you just order cheese, mustard, ketchup, onion hotdog. That would be really nice, but I get it. They have a niche and they do what they do. They do it well. The customer service was great. The food was great. The service was great. The food came out really quick. I'll definitely come back and try another hotdog soon. Easy five star review. read more

I finally got to try Yoyo's at their recently-opened location in POST Houston, and I'm so glad I did. Their hot dogs are incredible, on par with some of the other top hot dogs I've had throughout the country. The all-beef franks are good quality and have a nice, smokey flavor, and the fried onions, caramelized onions, honey mayo, cream cheese, and signature "yoyo's hot sauce" all help to give the hot dog a unique flavor. I would say the only downside is at least at their POST location it's $8 for a single hot dog, which is pretty pricey and I'd probably need to eat 2 to be full. Regardless I think it's definitely worth a try if you're looking for a good hot dog in Houston... I'd come back if I was in the area. read more

Literally one of the best hot dogs in Houston. This is a Houston staple!! Been going to yo-yo's hotdog since it was a food stand. Coming back here brought back memories of waiting in long lines 30+ min just to get my hands on these. Back then, of course it was cheaper. Now it's $8 for a fully loaded hotdog, still worth it. The service was fast since it's in the food court of POST market and they get through the line fast. The yoyo hotdog was pretty good. The sauce and the taste was a great combination. Only part was the hotdog could get a little messy. They sliced through the whole bun for my hotdog which basically made it a sandwich with everything falling down the bottom. Other than that I would completely recommend for a light bite. read more

I am not the biggest hot dog fan. I normally eat 0-1 hot dog a year - however I would rate it a 6/10. The hot dog itself was good, moist, & juicy. I was not a fan of the fried onions or caramelized onions. It tasted bitter. I did not get the mayo or cream cheese, but it needed the hot sauce. I would go back because it was only $8 however I would bring my own ketchup and relish. read more

4.5 stars.... Not perfect because it needed to be 50% bigger for $8. But I would still buy it for $8.... I would buy 2 (maybe 3) for $8 (each).... There was a lot of regret not getting the 2nd hotdog. Had mine all the way. Wait wasn't long at all at POST.... Service was good... dude was like "how many you want?" I really should have gotten the 2nd dog. I was the first person in line today (maybe they just opened) and when I turned around there were 5 more groups in line behind me. I wish this dude all the success in the world! You have a great product sir! Would I go back? Hell yeah! Too bad you have to pay for parking. Tip: buy at least 2 and get the soda. Why 5 stars? Because it's hard to beat these hot dogs. --- --- --- I have wanted to visit Yoyo's for years. Maybe more than a decade. But I never found myself in Houston during the late night hours that Yoyo's was open. Fortunately, they recently opened in POST, and I could not have been happier to finally make my initial visit. It turns out, they basically have one item. My brother, the person who initially told me about Yoyo's, instructed that I should not do any substitutions. I obeyed and was very happy with this decision. I probably would have ordered it with no siracha if not coached up ahead of time, but I'm glad I ate it as God intended. The siracha added only the tiniest kick, so I wouldn't be too concerned about that if you're like me and usually opposed to any spiciness. The quality of the hot dog is what really separated Yoyo's from other hot dogs I've consumed in my life. It was almost like melt-in-your-mouth level tenderness. And all of the toppings were as great as expected. Next time I'm in POST, it will be hard not to come back here again! read more

If you want a delicious hot dog, this is the place!! I've had this once before a couple years back and remembered it was so good I'm so excited to go back and get it again! I don't usually like hot dogs but this place is different. The hot dog comes with beef, caramelized onion, fried onion, honey mayo, YOYO hot sauce and cream cheese. That sounds like a lot but it just goes together so well. The picture does not do it justice but this place makes me want to go back for more... All food is freshly made melts in your mouth. The workers are great!! So kind and caring. After I ordered the hot dog they offered some drinks to take with because it was a long line. I wish we had this in MN but this place always has me wanting to come back for more... 10/10 read more

I've been a yoyo's regular for a while, and I'm so sad they got rid of their original location but it's ok because the food is still delicious. The owner is super nice and there were a few times where he gave us an extra hot dog for free! I've been to the POST location once, and the food is still just as good. At their original location in Rice Village, the lines would be super long, but they would play music to keep up the energy and get the line moving. Honestly, the wait is not bad at all! At POST, they still have a decent line and wait, but you can just walk around and look at the other restaurants while waiting for your food. The hot dogs are so good. The meat is snappy and juicy, and with the caramelized onions it's so delicious. They top it with a sweet chili and kewpie mayo sauce, which is a nice added sweetness to the saltiness! It's a pretty heavy hot dog, but it will always hit the spot as a late night treat! read more

Everyone who knows me knows that I love Yoyo's Hot Dogs and I've been eating their hot dogs for years now. From when the cart was still located outside of Bronx Bar (anyone remember this place?) through the many different spots in the village. I haven't been to their location by 8th wonder because I haven't been going out as much and downtown is a lot farther than the village for me but I do go to the POST Houston a lot for concerts and stuff so imagine my excitement when I found out that Yoyo would be opening a spot in POST Houston. Now let me cut to the chase. The hot dogs are still excellent. But now instead of paying $5 (not sure what the prices are now at the cart), I'm paying $8 for a hot dog. And gone are the days when Yoyo would sometimes give me a free bottle of water because I'm proudly wearing Yoyo's hat while dining here. The upside, however, is that you don't have to wait in line for 45 minutes before you can get your hot dogs but then again, you wouldn't be able to come here after a night out because this location closes early. And just FYI, I still do wear the hat proudly when I go out in general and that hat even started a conversation in Ft Worth's famous Stockyards with a girl who said that he recognized the hat because she used to work at Yoyo's in College Station once upon a time. I do come to POST Houston a lot before attending a show at 713 Concert Hall next door so I will be making sure to stop by Yoyo's when I do. read more

I have loved Yo-Yo's since they were a cart outside of Little Woodrows. I loved them through the family drama and the relocation. I have loved them during the days when they would have to post their location for the weekend because they were moving around so much. A Yo-yo's hot dog is an experience and I'm happy they finally have brick and mortar locations! The prince has only gone up moderately, understandably, but the flavors have never changed and that's part of why Yo-Yo's IS the legend that they are. People have and will continue to stand in lines for this delicacy and I will be right there with them. Service is a fast as it can for for a hot dog stand/ 3-4 man operation. But it's worth it over and over and over again. I only gave this location 4 stars instead of 5 because paying for parking at Post, just for a hot dog, is tedious. I frequent the Washington Ave location weekly. read more

Unique tasting hot dogs? Yep! Life changing / best hot dog ever? Maybe not for me, but it's definitely tasty! I'm not a hot dog fan to begin with, but Yo Yos covers the hot dog with so many toppings, making it creamy, steamy, and dreamy. The hot dog itself is also different, grilled almost into a sausage like texture with a snappy casing. There's a layer of onion jam that makes it pretty sweet. Overall, happy I tried and it is really good for a hot dog, but I won't be craving it anytime soon. I enjoyed a few bites and handed off the rest to my human trash can who frequented the old location-- he said he liked how it tasted before the POST location opened up. The one at POST wasn't as greasy as before (which made it taste better), and the onion jam used to be more like sautéed onions, so it was a little too sweet this time. But our other friends really enjoyed having their first Yo Yo's, so to each their own! There's only one menu item (the hot dog) and you can't customize the toppings. The drinks are expensive, so bring a reusable water bottle! read more

I was super excited to try out this hotdog. The worker even described it as life changing so I was for sure expecting to be speechless after eating it, but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite. The fried onions were too thick (too many were packed into the bun) and the caramelized onions were too slimy. It didn't feel like balanced toppings at all. I end up having to take 2 bites just to get some of the beef in the mix. I get the idea of it being a great combo of ingredients but I was left disappointed after eating it. read more

I was so excited to hear that Yo-yo would have a stand at the Post so I could get the hot dogs on a more regular basis and at regular times! I was craving these hot dogs for months and was disappointed when they were closed during the Yelp Elite event even though the schedule online said they would be open. However, maybe that's why they were such a let down when I finally got to try them after months of randomly craving this legendary Houston Hot Dog.While there is nothing wrong with this hot dog it just doesn't live up to the one that I'd use to get at the Yo-yo stand at Rice Village. (Even the random ones that would be burned) Unfortunately, the experience didn't start off well because for some reason mine came out lukewarm which was surprising since it was made to order. It still had the buttery bread but what was disappointing was that the ratio was not the same as the one from Rice Village. These had alot less caramelized onions so the spicy cream cheese sauce and the crunchy toppings too center stage. This made the flavors less complicated and made it taste more like any other loaded hot dog. While this is still a good loaded hot dog it felt like a cheap imitation compared to what it once was which is why I'll give this a 3 star. I'll give it another go because it could have been an off day but I won't go out of my way again just to get this hot dog. read more

We got sold by the friendly cashier so got one with light honey mayo just to try. It's a unique hotdog with a pretty good flavor profile. Kind of a hint of sweetness from the caramelized onions and savory from the juicy beef. It's not too saucy so I think it's perfect. We got a free orange lemonade as a first time customer pretty nice of them Food court is lively and fun vibe and we enjoyed people watching while eating. I would recommend this hotdog! read more

My husband and I have been eating here since 2021 and on a way-more-regular-basis than I'd like to admit (lol!), so we definitely noticed when the staff changed. With this change brought Terry, who is a beacon of light in our favorite hot dog place! His attitude is always uplifting and he never gets annoyed with all the substitutions we make to our dogs since we are vegetarian. He's also very attentive and does a great job of taking care of us as well as the other restaurant patrons. We love his energy and always leave this place feeling better than when we first entered. Thanks for being amazing, Terry! We appreciate you and we'll be back to see you again very soon!

I swear the Bulgogi Fries were screaming my name, though. Yoyo's Hotdog - Yoyo--YO. This thing slaps. I definitely craved a Coke or a beer while eating this because that salt kicks your taste buds' *ss. The caramelized onions paired with the crunchy onions were a double whammy that could topple a few hot dog title holders. The real winner, though, was the sauce--definitely something Asian-inspired. (That's how it comes standard) don't get me wrong it's definitely a lot going on from the flavors and the messiness of the dog, but the flavors balance out very well and the all beef hot dog is delicious. There's no spice from the mayo or hot sauce so if you don't like spice you'll be fine. I also tried their bulgogi fries which came with bulgogi meat, jalepenos, cheese and cilantro. My first reaction was it was delicious but it wouldn't be something I would get again, but after I kept eating it I realized this is actually really good and now when I go back I'll definitely try it again. Overall I definitely recommend this place to visitors or even locals

Spicy salami, Black Forest ham stacked with house-made pimento cheese, pepperoncini, arugula, and mayo. He had a side of potato salad with it and said it was the best he ever had. What a freaking great place for humans to come together.
