First time I went the portions were bigger than the other location on Olympic and was very good. 2nd time wasn't as good as the first time and service was not that good either. Portions weee smaller too compared to the first time. The guy at the counter is pretty rude and is not the friendliest person even in Korean dialect. The guy at the counter needs to be more friendly to customers like he was to his acquaintance he was serving. Treat everyone equally and not just his friends.

Super refreshing on a hot day! The naengmyun was solid, with an icy-cold broth, just the right amount of red paste sauce, and garnishes like pickled radish that added a nice balance. It paired especially well with the kalbi. Definitely a great addition to the food court at KTP! The only downside is that the wait can be pretty long on a Sunday during lunch, so be prepared to be part of the later crew getting their food while everyone else is already eating. Still, on a hot day, this really hits the spot!

Delicious and filling. Great presentation and nice service. No wonder they were busy. But the food did not take long at all. Located in food court by the parking garage. Get a validation for 3 hours of free parking in garage.

I found out that Yuchun opened a location inside the Koreatown Plaza through Instagram. Someone beat me to the first review. I came here with my brother and we were in shock that Yuchun would open another location so close to the original location. It's not even a quarter mile away. Yuchun takes up the spot where Pho 2000 used to be. Pho 2000 was at Koreatown Plaza for over 20 years! What is remarkable about Yuchun is that they have tried to open other locations in Koreatown Los Angeles and they all failed. This new location is arguably better than the original location because you don't have to tip in the Koreatown Plaza location because it's in a food court. At the original location of Yuchun, you have to pay for parking validation. At this new location, parking is free with validation for 3 hours. The only restaurant in the Koreatown Plaza that should worry is Young Dong Noodles because they are direct competition with Yuchun. Yuchun should crush Young Dong.

Your food comes out pretty fast I ordered the Bulgogi rice dish with a salad on the side. It was SO good! My friends split a seafood dish. Everything was delicious. It was a lot. I ended up having leftovers for lunch the next day. They have a good system in place in getting getting ppl in and out of there. The service was great and the atmosphere was lively. I would definitely come back.

The space itself is cute, trendy, and modern, but according to my Korean friends, the food stays true to tradition -- which is exactly what you want from a place like this. There was a line when we got there, but it moved quickly -- and they came around to take our order while we were still waiting, so food came out fast once we sat down. I've had bossam before and always got cold, sliced meat -- not my thing. Here, it comes out hot, and the pork jowl was incredible. I genuinely could not stop eating it, so tender with that perfect grilled edge. They also start you off with a little bowl of barley rice (bori bap) as part of the banchan -- first time trying it and it was such a nice, unexpected touch. We also shared the chicken sujebi and it was pure comfort in a bowl. The hand-torn noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth was seasoned just right -- not too salty, just deeply savory. Heads up on parking: it's tough. I got lucky with street parking but it's only 1-hour limit, so keep an eye on the clock. The lot is valet only and looked chaotic when we pulled up, so budget extra time (and maybe cash) if you go that route. Honestly one of my favorite meals I've had in Koreatown, and a great spot to bring visitors -- my friends loved it too. Already planning my next visit to work through the rest of the menu. Highly recommend, especially if you love Korean comfort food done right.

I ordered the spicy tonkotsu and loved the flavor, especially the chashu. I'm usually a pork belly person, but the chashu was so flavorful that I genuinely think I'll start choosing it instead from now on. Everything came out piping hot, which normally sounds like a compliment, but it was almost too hot to comfortably eat. Weirdly, we actually enjoyed the leftovers even more reheated at home. I do wish I'd tried the thicker noodles, but paying an extra $3 just to switch noodle styles felt a little ridiculous. We also tried the gyoza, which were good, but I wish they had come with a more traditional soy-based dipping sauce instead of already being dressed in chili oil. I'd definitely come back, especially to try the dipping ramen. I'd never had tsukemen before, and it sounded so good that I was already regretting not ordering it by the end of the meal.

The location isn't super big and it does get super busy with people putting their names on the wait list and people queueing busily outside (overflow of people waiting for many of the other restaurants along this part of the block too). Overall the ramen isn't bad, chashu is nice and fatty and tender. Ramen is rich and filling. It's nice that it already comes with an egg too and you don't have to add another one. Lots of other side dishes and combos too if someone in your party doesn't want ramen. However, with the increases in prices, the fact that there's many other options in LT, and the fact that there are other Daikokuya locations, it's an alright LT option.
