Checked this out on a whim because I was craving jjajangmyeon. I ended up ordering the half and half because I've never had jjamppong before. The jjamppong was definitely full of seafood and you get your money's worth. I wish they had an option to have it a little less spicy but it was fine. It was pretty tasty. The jjajangmyeon also had lots of veggies and meat. It was a little too sweet for what I normally like but I still finished it so no complaints there. Service was fine. They were nice but I ordered everything off an iPad. They give you a bottle of water so I only had one because I wasn't sure if they charged for a second bottle, even though I definitely wanted more water. Overall I thought it was a decent dinner to have while I watched love island on my phone!

Been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally went for dinner. Place was not busy at all and overall a nice, clean place to sit down and eat a nice bowl of jjamppong. Server was really chill and got everything we needed. You order thru a tablet on the table and the food comes out pretty quickly. Ordered their basic jjamppong + sweet/sour chicken. Flavor is ok, portions are decent but on smaller end. Noodles were great, but for me I prefer some other places. Side dishes were mid and didnt taste well. Chicken we ordered was also ok, had great spice to it and had a lot of flavors to it. Not a bad option for the jjamppong lover and a great alternative in ktown. Parking is street only.

SO GOOD! Jjamppong here is the star of the show. Broth is so seafood-y and delicious, though wish there was more seafood hahaha. Noodles are great. I like you can choose spice options for your items and I ended up also getting a jjajangmyeong with the level 3 spice...OMFG SO SPICY. Like in the best way. But omg so spicy. Sweet and sour pork was not as crispy as I had liked but love the meat to batter ratio. So much seating indoors and service was quick. You order from an iPad at the table which is convenient.

Truly wonderful, convenient, and affordable. The Jjajamyeun is good quality, not too oily... but just enough oil. The Jjamppong is fresh and flavorful, and you can get the 1/2 combination if you're having trouble deciding. The Sweet and Sour pork is also great quality and a favorite of mine.

my friend and i stopped by here after hearing about their $8.99 jajangmyeon. - the interior was very clean and spacious. you order from the tablet and the utensils were on the side compartment of the tables. - my friend and i shared a jajangmyeon and a sweet and sour pork. the jajangmyeon (4.5/5) was flavorful and wasn't much on the sweet side which we liked. the portion was shareable for two people which made it good on the pricinig. the sweet and sour pork (4.5/5) had the right amount of sourness on the sauce and paired greatly with the jajangmyeon. - the servers were fast on their service. the resturant also validates parking for $3 which was nice. overall, would love to come back here whenever we're in the koreatown area

Came in here on a Monday for lunch and it wasn't packed but there was a steady flow of people coming in one by one! Your orders are taken via an iPad on the tables so it's pretty easy with photos! They do give individual water bottles which I thought was interesting! In terms of the food, I really liked the half jjajangmyun half jjamppong! You get a good portion of both. They're known for their super spicy, but I wasn't brave enough to try it. But the broth for the jjamppong was pretty solid and flavorful! I liked the jjajangmyun too to balance it out! I wasn't a fan of the kimchi they gave but the radish individually packaged was pretty good. You can see the kitchen which is relatively open and you can hear the chefs working the wok for the food which was cool! In general, really quick and a good spot if you want no frills Korean Chinese style noodles.

Was craving black bean noodles and my friend suggested we try this spot in K-Town. The restaurant is clean and ordering is easy off the iPad on your table. Despite ordering on the iPad, the staff were available for questions and the tables have hidden drawers underneath with napkins, extra silverware, and bibs to avoid food splashes from the beans. Food wise we got the Tangsuyuk-Sweet Rice to share which was pretty good but a bit on the chewy side instead of fried in my opinion. We also each ordered our own Zizon Jjamppong which was a mistake because the portions are SO big! We could definitely all have shared one or two orders of it.

Very clean restaurant Tables and chairs were wiped down and the bathroom had toilet seat covers and super clean Menu was a tablet whichw as convenient I got the jjampoong and a friend ordered the jajangmyeon The regular jjampping isnt that spicy actually next time ill try the next level. Lots of seafood and broth was flavorful - the portion was gigantic i think i will get the half and half and split it with someone Jajangmyeon was good not too sweet noodles were cooked just right We also tried the tangsuyuk - it was good small portion was huge. It didnt stay crispy though even though sauce was on the side They gave us free bottled water and service was great I will come back!

My favorite was the Jjamppong and the tang su yuk. The coating is made with Rice flour and it makes it soft yet chewy

Delivery, bad packaging you can't reseal the leftovers as everything is a plastic rip top

Great flavors was crashing black bean noodles got the spiciest they had to offer. Only downsize is the black bean containers comes in single use serve wear. It doesn't have a top for you to close and cap it off if you have leftovers which sucks :/ lost a start for that but great flavors!

If you're in Koreatown LA and craving bold flavors, you have to try Jjamppong Zizon. With over 100 locations in Korea, it's no surprise that this spot serves up authentic Korean Chinese cuisine that hits all the right notes. We started with the Deep Fried Dumplings (10 pieces for $14). It was perfectly crispy outside, juicy inside. The real surprise? The Jjajangmyeon was only $8.99! House-made noodles with rich, savory black bean sauce full of ingredients. The Black Bean Noodle ($13) was also a hit. We couldn't resist the Sweet & Sour Pork ($16 - small) either. Tangy, glazy, and so addictive. It was definitely a favorite. If you love seafood and spice, the Spicy Jjamppong is a must. They even offer a Jjamppong Challenge if you're feeling bold What makes it even better? Everything is made fresh right in their open kitchen, using 100% Korean-imported chili powder. You can taste the quality and care in every dish. I know I will be coming back for the Sweet & Sour Pork and Jjangmyeon.

Came to Jjamppong Zizon and tried both the jjajangmyeon and the jjamppong. The jjajangmyeon had that perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet, with chewy noodles and for me the black bean sauce was lighter than other places I've been too. It didn't feel greasy or heavy. The jjamppong was spicy, flavorful broth loaded with seafood and veggies, and just the right amount of heat to warm you up without burning your mouth. Super generous portions, too. Service was quick and friendly, and everything came out hot and fresh. You order on a tablet at the table and they bring out food to you. when you need something you just wave some one down. The place is clean, casual, and definitely worth stopping by if you're craving solid Korean-Chinese comfort dishes.

Ordered their signature Jjampong Zizon, Jajangmyeon and a side of fried dumplings. The Jjampong Zizon comes standard as a little bit spicy. It comes with pork, lard, quail egg, seafood such as scallop, mussel, clams, and squid). The more you drink of the broth, the spice does not become an issue so it's quite nice. But of course you can order more spice if you'd like. The ingredients to jjampong are really delicious together, the seafood broth is good with the noodles that have a nice chewiness to them. The seafood and quail egg was nicely presented, and decent portion too. It's great if you're sharing or have a big appetite. The Jajangmyeon has a very thick consistency and mild black bean flavor, it could use some more sweetness but is an otherwise very pleasant noodle dish to have. The fried dumplings came out hot and consisted of japchae sweet potato noodles, egg and chives. It's a nice side to have if you're craving a crispy dumpling with a soft and warm filling. The place has moderate flow of diners coming in. You order off a computer screen and there is almost limited interaction with the staff. It's possibly a great choice for introverts wanting to have minimal interaction and to just enjoy their food.

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

I really wanted authentic Korean food that was not kbbq and not tofu and this place delivered! This restaurant is in a small strip mall. The strip mall has other Korean food options. They have a valet parking system of sorts but we didn't pay, we self parked. The attendant told us we were fine. It was approx 9pm when we arrived and also a week night. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. The bowls were large and came out piping hot. It was a satisfying meal and not too heavy. The price point was on the pricey side. Our waiter told us business has not been the same post covid. Some dishes are between $40-$60. I asked for a soup and they were able to make it less spicy. My friend got a soup with dumplings in it. He put a good amount of soy sauce to give the broth some life. Also, the banchan is on point. We asked for a refill and devoured the second portions. If you wanna impress friends with Korean food, bring them here! Its a casual place.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
