Food was terrible. Half the French fries were raw and undercooked. Fried shrimp was so salty and under battered I could only eat 1 piece. The fried catfish was barely cooked through. The service staff carry food from food truck up the stairs, basket of food on top of another basket of food. Stacked on each other and the baskets are greasy to touch let alone to think it touching someone's food. Servers are wearing dirty clothing and admit to not knowing what the menu says or what the baskets are served with. Never again and do not recommend. read more

I called on Wednesday to see when the restaurant opened on Sundays. I was tiled 11:00. And "OH, we have 'all you can eat Crawfish on Sundays". Got my group together and went over there. Arrived at 11:15. One waitress, we had 23 people. Took 20 minutes to get our drink orders TAKEN. Another 15 minutes to get the drinks. The "all you can eat crawfish" doesn't start until noon. We ordered other things...they don't have onions... I got my cheeseburger at 12:40. That's 50 minutes after I ordered. We won't be back. And I will tell everyone I know about this experience. read more

Family went here last week and the experience was terrible. Service was the worst. Nearly two hour wait, after ordering, for crawfish. Out and about on the boat and thought it would be nice to stop into Yuls for a drink. 5 of us got a seat right at the bar...and we waited. I'll say it was slightly busy but not too bad. waited over 15 minutes and neither bartender would make eye contact let alone acknowledge us. Dang shame. I would really like to give this place a better review,but the service was lacking. Came in and brought family that came down from out of town to visit. So a party of 4 people. After ordering and asking several times for ice and sweetener finally just got up from my seat and went and got it myself. Waited 45min for our food and was finally told that the frier was broken. There were not a lot of customers there at the time. If it had been packed out and a line, I would have understood the wait. Maybe one day I'll give thjs place another try, but it will not be anytime soon. read more

Went to Yul's Place at Popps Ferry yesterday with a friend to enjoy our first crawfish of the season. Ordered a cold beer from the nice young waitress. She told us the prices of the crawfish. $29 for 5#s. My friend politely asked if we could taste 1 before paying that much for crawfish. Lela, the young waitress, had to go check. Now keep in mind that we & all our other friends have supported this establishment numerous times & have spent lots of money here. Waitress informs us that he doesn't do samples. We both smirked in disbelief. My friend explained to her that it was poor customer service. Lela walked away & then an older waitress approaches & proceeds to tell us that we can't talk to her servers like that. We're like whoa...we didn't curse..didn't raise our voice we simply questioned the fact that we couldn't get 1 crawfish to taste. She was quite rude. My friend went downstairs to talk to Yul, who was a personal friend of hers. While standing by 2 full pots of boiled crawfish he began to yell at her how she & her friends are always looking for free food (not true). He said he'd be broke giving everyone free samples. She said we only asked for 1 crawfish, not a sack. Yul began yelling at her to get the hell out of his place. I was upstairs & could hear him yelling. She comes back up & tells me that we'll finish our beer, pay & leave. Here comes the older waitress yelling at us to get off the property. I asked how much for the beers. She just screamed that they were free & for us to leave. My friend is a multi business owner & fully understands the importance of customer service. More importantly she knows how to treat the young servers. Yul failed as a restaurant owner & received the worst customer review for treating 2 loyal customers this way. One should think twice before supporting this establishment. Now if we had just gotten a lil crawfish to taste & did not like the seasoning we would've ordered another seafood plate. However we left as directed by the owner and went down the street to Tailgaters Restaurant on Popps Ferry. First thing I asked the waitress if it would be possible to taste 1 crawfish to taste the seasoning before ordering. Without a blink of an eye she said that would be no problem. She explained that it's better to give a lil taste of a dish first instead of having to return a whole plate back to the kitchen because the customer was not satisfied. Now that's customer service guaranteed. My biggest regret was not tipping Lela, the first waitress. Never had the chance as we were yelled at while having to leave. read more

my first visit to celebrate my moms birthday and there won't be a second visit! Took about 20-25 minutes to even get an order in. Then we were being served by a girl that didn't work there , she was just at the bar. Then food comes with onion rings instead of fries because they ran out. Then told we were getting po boys on bun instead of po boy bread. My mom and daughter waited 10 -15 min after my husband I got our food To get their food. Then the table next to us had to be told they ran of food. Lousy just lousy!! read more

The service was horrible! appetizers came out after the food ! we ordered fried Mushrooms that came with fried shrimp in it which my friend is allergic to shrimp! when voices our concern the waiyet was rude, over talled us stating we should told she was allergic because they use the same grease for every thing!!! Wow! Can't say nothing but this place is amazing. Hidden gem!! Food is amazing! Had the wings and they came of the pit and were some of the best crispy wings I've ever had. And I also had the boiled shrimp! And wow also amazing!! I'll be back here for sure!! read more

The place looks quaint, and has a beautiful view of the water. However, the service was slow in both drinks and food. Not sure if they were short staffed that day but a simple explanation/apology for the wait would have provided so much more understanding. When the food did finally arrive to our table, two of our orders did not arrive. We were a party of six. By the time the other two orders did arrive 30 minutes later, the rest of the table had already finished their meals. I ordered the shrimp basket, nothing added or special, so there was no unreasonable accommodation with my order. And while I expected to see shrimp on one side and french fries on the other, I was handed a plate of French fries with 6 shrimp buried underneath. That's fine, I did not expect to dig for shrimp, but I certainly expected more shrimp than a mere measly six pieces, because it was not $15 worth of French fries on that plate. Maybe the other menu items are more flavourful, but based on both the quality of service and the quality of food, I would be doing the community and visitors a disservice to not share this feedback. Hopefully improvements are made as the location has great potential. read more

Horrible service worst I have ever seen. Got a reservation for valentines and never even got a chance so sit down inside. Very uncoordinated in orders my crawfish was really mid and my entree came out before my appetizer.Worst valentines experience and they tried to charge me for food I didn't get. I hope couples never come here for valentines and messed up my to go order on top of it. The experience was so awful I had to go to the counter to beg for my check just to even leave. The crawfish was so mushy and over cooked didn't even get full had to go to another place to eat afterwards. The waitresses don't even write down your order and that's how they messed up the ticket. The only worker that had hustle was the poor black guy that had to make up for the waitresses lazyness waited in the cold all night for my food. I could say more about this place but I'm just going to put out my experience out there. I hope they figure out how to get there staff more coordinated for holidays. read more

We arrived at Yul's and we were told that there was a large party so it could be a while to be served. I noted the time was 5:21pm. We ordered an appetizer of debris fries which were very good and took the edge of my hunger pains. We saw everyone else get severed their meal but when a party, who we were ahead of by 10-15 minutes, got served I had enough. Our food came out at 6:19 pm. The service was poor and late and the roast beef Poboy was small on a bun that was not fresh. There are so many quality local places to eat. Save your time and money and enjoy one of those quality dining establishments. read more

One of the best restaurant's on the Ms Gulf Coast. Great food and menu, atmosphere, service and an incredible view!!!

First time eating there, I thought I'd sit outside and enjoy the weather and the great view but there are only a handful of outside seats on the deck and they were all being used, none of the tables inside have a view because the windows are too small, maybe if you sit at the bar. I asked if the crab cakes used Blue Crab, I was told they're made from 'a loaf', forget that, so I ordered a shrimp basket instead (I thought it best to not ask if they are Gulf shrimp). It seemed overstaffed with only 4 tables seated inside and 2 customers at the bar when I was there. After awhile the waitress finally a catfish basket then admitted she 'screwed up'. I then waited too long for order and she never checked back at the table, my water drink was almost empty by the time she had finally delivered the food and was empty halfway through my meal. Pity that you don't get to enjoy a view unless you happen to get a table outside or when you're leaving. I will not return. read more
