One of the best Chinese places out here. The waitress and waiter were really nice and greeted me right away. I came in the morning and had their lunch specials Sweet and Sour chicken, egg roll, fried rice and a wonton soup. It was all so good that I ordered one to go as well. Always had good service and great food. Their portions are excellent and I always get the Ma Po Tofu. When you go for the meal deal during dinner, it gets a little pricey, but you don't mind it too much since they give a lot of food. Definitely check them out. read more

We just ordered Mongolian Beef and Sesame Chicken from this location. Approximately 2 minutes later we cancelled our order due to the cost. Dennis (who states he is the owner) told me everything was already cooked and rudely told me not to ever call back and hung up on me. So, either they have a magical stove or everything is precooked. Last time I checked it took longer than 2 minutes to get chicken to a safe 165 degrees. This being said, Dennis can try and succeed in this industry with lies, horrible customer service, and most likely food safety issues. Good Luck. The food was so bad that we literally threw it away. It was not edible! Went in and ordered to go without calling in and it was ready in less than 5 minutes, which means it was just ready made and slopped into Togo containers. When we got it home, the beef and chicken dishes were gelatinous and had a horrible taste. Won't be going back here. read more

We came here for lunch one day. The place had several tables; not too big. We ordered the general tso's chicken. The portion was plentiful but sadly to say the taste did not do it for me. Chicken wasn't even crispy and the sauce was just eh. I've had better to say the least. Only thing ok was the typical pork egg rolls you get at buffets. I tried delivery from this place on a weekday evening. Pros: -the delivery was early -the fortune cookies were not stale Cons: -food in general was very poor; -the fried rice has huge chunks of yellow onion in it and little else -the wontons were taken right out of the freezer and warmed up, i'm guessing in the microwave given how tough they were to chew (think beef jerky) -the sweet and sour chicken had a strange taste, almost metallic to it, certainly not fresh After a few bites of everything, I summarily threw it all in the trash can. I have been trying to find a good take-out/delivery chinese restaurant to use regularly. Came on a Thursday night for dinner with my family. We got two kids meals - one with chicken wings and fries and another with chicken nuggets and steamed rice - and two entrees. I ordered General Tsos Chicken and my husband for Sesame Chicken. Both, oddly enough, tasted the same. Neither were good. My husband switched his meal for sweet and sour chicken but didn't like that either. First time we've left food behind. Which isn't a bad thing, but if you didn't come to this place with an empty stomach get ready to take some food home. I am so utterly disappointed. I have been craving good Chinese takeout. This was not good at all. The restaurant itself is very clean. I was greeted right away. I decided to order my food to go because eating at a place with a one year can be hard. There was only one other family eating lunch at the time. I believe they had opened 15-20 minutes prior to our arrival. I order the lunch beef with broccoli, kids chicken wings, and kids sesame chicken. All I can say is bland. This was the most bland Chinese food I've had. Maybe it cooled down a bit as I drove home (10 minutes or so), but still! I added lots of soy sauce but ended up tossing most of it. I am a frequent customer at Yumi Cafe and I have noticed a decline in the quality of food over the past year. I tried to give them a chance yesterday and I ordered several dishes. I ordered a large shrimp fried rice and several other dishes that included rice as a side. We ate our food and within an hour or two we were fighting for the bathroom. When I checked the food, the rice had a rancid smell and I thought that it had a funny taste while I was eating it ,but it was my first meal of the day and I think I was so hungry, I didn't pay attention to it. When I called and spoke with Crystal who identified herself as the manager, she said they would replace the meal with one rice..I told her that this was unacceptable. I saved the food, over half of it, and offered to bring it back for a partial refund but she said that they don't offer refunds. I told her any other business would value repeat customers and try to work out a solution. Replacing $50 of food with a container of rice should not be their standard and I definitely will not be returning. read more

Never dined in, only carry out, but every time it has been good. Food is typically ready in 10-15 minutes and still hot and fresh and steaming when we get it home. Fried rice is nothing extraordinary but can be spiced up with some soy sauce. The wonton soup is delicious and a generous serving for 1. My favorite is the house special chow mei fun, which is given in a heaping serving stuffed into a styrofoam to go box full. Prices are reasonable, this is our go to Chinese place. read more

Looked like most folks had called in orders in advance and came in to pick up - we were the only customers seated around 6pm on a Wed evening. Very good food, fresh, hot, and big plates. Restaurant was clean. Appears to be a family run operation. No loud talking in the back like you hear in some places. Fast service and food came out fast. Some of the best Chinese we have had - will definitely return and/or order for delivery if possible. This is one of the better Chinese restaurants outside of China Town. They have good portions, food tastes fresh, great value, and the dishes are above average in taste. The staff is very friendly. The Shrimp Egg Foo Yung - the shrimp were over cooked and gummy, the Beef and Broccoli- the beef was too rubbery, the Sesame Chicken was very salty along with the gravy for the Egg Foo Yung. I called and spoke with the owner Dennis and he gave a credit of $18, when my previous order was $36+, yet I was somewhat happy because I didnt think they would refund anything - but I still wanted to let them know how I unsatisfied I was. After the refund I ordered some chicken wings and fried shrimp- how can you mess up chicken wings - yet again unsatisfied!!! The shrimp were O.K. , yet I will not return to Yumi read more
