We tried it tonight and were definitely not disappointed! The owners are a family from Guangzhou, and they really know what they're doing. We got the steamed chicken and corn dumplings (鸡肉玉米蒸饺), some pork and chive potstickers (pan fried - we liked them best), onion pancakes (葱油饼) and some hot and sour soup (酸辣汤). Everything was perfect - just like mama used to make at home (if my mama were Chinese and a really good cook! ;-) ). We ordered twice as much as we actually needed, so we brought it back home for tomorrow. We spent about $24 for that, before tip, which is a great price when you consider how much we got. We've been here waiting over 30 years for this to come to Cameron Park! We will be back! read more

Amazing dumplings! Super nice staff. Right now they are only open for takeout (but just saw a couple of outdoor tables recently so perhaps with spring coming, there is limited outdoor seating). We always get the pan fried pot stickers and they are truly amazing. Garlic green beans, lemon chicken and pork buns are also amazing - those are the only other items we've tried. This place was meh. I had high expectations based on what prior yelpers said, but this place was just average. I ordered the general chicken extra spicy and when I took my first bite, it was sweet....not that good!! The chow mein didn't not taste good at all . The only good thing that I liked was the steamed kimchi dumplings...those were actually goooood!! They make them fresh in house. If you don't mind the lady making them on a table where the public sits, than it's ok...not quite sure it's sanitary..... Had the pork/chive dumplings and they were very tasty. I prefer the pan fried but also had the steamed and both are great. I also tried the pot stickers and frankly don't see a difference between those and dumplings. Chicken chow mein is good, tho could use a bit more meat. Wife absolutely loves the mushroom chicken. I have only been 2x so far and both have been take-out. It's a small-ish place and not the fanciest, although it is clean. Will be trying other entrees in the future and will comment as I try them. I have been hearing rumors that this new restaurant was under brand new ownership and makes wonderful dumplings, so I took my daughter after school and yes, the dumplings are so delicious! I had the chicken and shrimp, next time I'm trying the pork and scallions. My daughter had the vegetable filled dumplings and veggie Chow mein. She loved the chow mein, the veggie dumpling were just ok, said she'd prefer larger pieces of the veggies. , I tried the chow mein as well,and it had great flavor. 10 dumplings came in each of our orders to go, along with two containers each of a yummy dipping sauce. They're a good size dumpling and 10 of them was very filling! The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, very basic. The women who took our orders was all smiles and so pleasant . I ordered takeout on a Friday night. I ordered chicken fried rice, chow mein, general chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The food was tasty. The restaurant is quaint and has about 6 tables. It is a bit loud from the kitchen so don't expect to go out to an nice quiet dinner here. It's great for takeout though. read more

Can't complain. Decent portion for the price. Not too pricey especially for Cameron park area. Potstickers were delicious. The kimchee flavor pork potstickers didn't taste spicy at all or like kimchee actually, but it was still delicious. It was a huge size too. Soup was flavorful and the chicken dumplings inside were average. Customer service was actually good. Overall experience, I would return here for Chinese food. Short menu but easy to read and not go crazy reading a novel, but still had the popular known dishes that people usually go to. Saw "Yummy Dumplings" in Cameron Park thanks to Next Door. Being familiar with the one in Davis (which has been closed due to a fire in the building), we were very excited to see there was now one closer to us. Having traveled to Asia, It is customary for them to make dumplings where you can see them being made. We were pleased to see the owner handcrafting dumplings at a side table in the dining area. I would rather them prepare food where you can see it, versus where you can't... We ordered Hot & Sour soup, pork dumplings, chicken fried rice and chicken mushrooms with vegetables. Bottom line, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent! We will be back! read more

Wonton soup, Mushroom chicken dumplings, pork fried rice, chicken chow mein and general chicken. order accuracy was a problem we ended up getting chicken and corn dumplings. Which were very good. We stayed away from pork dumplings as I heard the meat was grizzly. We also ordered chicken chow mein which was very bland not a lot of flavor. We ended up pouring The dumpling sauce on it and it made it tastes fantastic. The dumplings themselves were perfect. Other than being wrong. The pork fried rice was fantastic the one ton soup broth was very flavorful. And the one tons themselves were fine. the general chicken was dry but very flavorful not a lot of sauce also not crunchy. But overall tasty. We ordered ahead and pick up was slightly early but the food was still ready. Now that we know what to order we will probably have a better experience next time. read more

OMG!!! So happy to have found this place! They have scallion pancakes and they are definitely YUMMY!! I have been looking for scallion pancakes ever since moving here from the east coast. Definitely worth the wait. Everything is yummy, not just the pancakes. We tried the garlic green beans, veggie dumplings, chicken & corn dumplings and the pork dumplings. We stopped in at Yummy Dumplings for takeout at lunch on Jan. 23rd. We ordered the kimchi and pork dumplings, pork and vegetable dumplings and shrimp and chicken potstickers. (10 each) They are all large and freshly made, and came with a couple of containers of sauce for each. They were all excellent. We also got the small hot and sour soup which they told us was plenty for 2 people. It was. It is one of the best hot & sour soups I've tasted anywhere. Good hot & sour soup is very hard to find. This one was done exactly right. The dumplings are large and for 2 people there were leftovers, even after stuffing ourselves. The strip mall where it's located is an eyesore. Parking is limited. But the inside of the restaurant looks nothing like I remember it from a few years ago. It's pretty basic, but the tables are nice and there are a few booths along the wall. Everything was clean, bright and simply decorated. The place was full around noon. The owner or lady who took our order was friendly and pleasant, and advised us that the 3 items plus small soup was more than enough for 2 people. She was right. We didn't try any of the Chinese cuisine dinner items but they look pretty standard. The one thing I will have to ask about are Hunan and Szechuan dishes. Everything on the menu looks pretty mild rather than hot and spicy. But it's going to take us a while to try all the potsticker and dumpling dishes and we'll probably be ordering those for some time to come because they're so good. My husband and I recently moved up here and this is the second Chinese place we tried and oh man it's the new place for us!! So delicious! We got beef chow mein, beef with mixed veggies, sesame chicken, pork and chive dumplings, and kimchi potstickers. Everything has delicious, flavorful, and had great textures! The chow mein noodles and dumpling textures were my favorite. I loved the spice in the kimchi potstickers and I liked that the sesame chicken had a hint of spice too.
