Tried the AYCE BBQ for lunch. It was decent. The sides were good and authentic. The meats were OK. I had the beef, pork belly and bulgogi. I was expecting more flavor even though the quality was good. Kind of high priced but I only had one serving of the meats. If I try this place again, I will order off the menu. read more

This is a far cry from good Korean food. The only spice I could taste was ginger. Doesn't matter what it was, it was all ginger. At best, this might have been some sort of Hawaiian fusion but it was definitely not Korean. It is weird that people say this is legit Korean food. Had a very enjoyable dinner. The food and service were excellent. Really enjoyed the fresh ingredients and attentive service.

This was a fun meal-- expensive, but there were lots of fun things to try on the menu and our waiter brought food out to us quickly. I did find a hair in one of my sushi rolls, which wasn't great. And there were a few meats that lacked flavor. But the katsu chicken, the garlic chicken, and the brisket (with the dipping sauce!), among others, were delicious. read more

Service was slow. The waitress lied and didn't come back for refills. We called ahead to make sure they can accommodate our party and they said YES. We got there and they couldn't accommodate us and told us the rice ran out but they can still make sushi. read more

The food is decent, but the service has been slow every time I've gone. I ordered take out and they said it would take 30 min. We arrived at the right time only for them to tell us that they ran out of tofu. I ordered 15 minutes after they opened. They never called to tell us. For now, I will give it three stars because it was exceptionally clean and as I stated earlier the food was fine and my husband said the kalbi ribs were fantastic. If we do return, perhaps I will update my review once more. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We came to Yummys on 1/25/20 had a reservation at 7:30 and that was the end of anything pleasant. We had the worst server I think her name was Claire. The food wasn't bad.but it was pretty average Korean BBQ. Our server didn't have spoons or serving utensils with any of our dishes and the utensils for the table were missing as well and even for the raw food I had to ask for more forks and use that. I told her it was our first time there and she didn't even explain the menu to us or how everything worked. In addition, she was MIA for most of the meal and when we ordered extra katsu at the end we had to wait almost 10 minutes just for her to tell us there was a delay and then she asked us if we just wanted to cancel it altogether???? She never refilled our drinks but of course had to tell me that there was an automatic 18% gratuity because we had more than six people. It was me, my husband and our six kids all under the age of 10 and one is an infant and one was a 3 year old (they were free). I don't mind paying gratuity because I have a lot of kids but I really resented paying gratuity to a server who wasn't even there??? Normally, I hate to give bad ratings on food places due to poor service but I truly cannot get over how bad it was. I purchased a Groupon for 3 coupons of $5 off each take out. The first two times I came here, I absolutely loved it - 5 stars hands down! The employee (I think it was the manager) taking my order was accurate, polite, and prompt. He remembered me the second time I came, although that was only 2 days after the first visit, and he addressed me by name. The food I ordered (Kalbi + kimchi + cucumbers and bibimbap) were very tasty. The potstickers weren't a favorite, but they weren't bad either. But the Kalbi meat, kimchi, and the bibimbap were spot on. The wait was quite long (maybe 15 minutes when restaurant was not even half full). I could tell the restaurant was understaffed both of these times, but the staff handled it well. They offered me water and updated me on my order frequently. My 3rd visit (Monday night around 8:15pm) with my Groupon was a complete 180 for customer service. Although the food was delicious, I would give this visit 1.5 stars. An older man greeted me upon arrival and handed me a menu, then took my order but didn't know how to apply my Groupon, let alone ring me up. He told me to use the Groupon next time since he didn't know how to apply it. He was confused and wasn't even sure how to slide my credit card. He always had to ask this one lady to stop what she was doing to help him do something simple on the register. He said that two managers were out today, but is that really an excuse for only having 1 person know how to use the cashier, or take orders using the machine? It doesn't take a manager to do these simple tasks. They were definitely understaffed, and only one employee knew how to apply a discount. But this older employee just sat around talking on his phone, which I found to be very rude and unfair to all the other employees. I also noticed that for how inexperienced he was, he was extremely nit-picky about everything. First, they had to take my order again because the first time the man took it, it didn't go through on the register or something. I ordered a bibimbap and the lady who helped me this time around asked which sides I wanted. The older employee interrupted right away and said "bibimbap has no sides". What if I wanted to add sides anyway and pay extra for it? Secondly, after a very, very busy lady stopped to help discount $5 off my total bill for my Groupon, the older employee was the first to stick his finger right on my phone to mark it as redeemed, even though he wasn't even the one who helped me apply the discount. He seemed so nit-picky, which gave a really bad overall vibe for the restaurant, as if it doesn't care about customer experience. I know this isn't true, though, because my first two experiences were wonderful. The staff just needs training to help improve the operations and overall customer experience of the restaurant. I'm not going to roast Yummy's rating due to this one experience though, because perhaps this man was filling in for the night for the first time. Or an emergency came up for the managers and they had nobody else who could fill. Despite this, the staff is very nice and Yummy's is definitely a 5-star restaurant! read more

Walked in and waited for about 10 minutes to be seated but was seated after two separate couples. Sat down at our table (mind you were only a party of 4)around 6:45 PM and waiter didn't ask us what we wanted to drink so we figured he would come back later due to them being a bit busy. As we are browsing the menu, we all notice that last call is 8:15 so we hurry and figure out what we want. We wait and wait, next thing you know its 7:45 and we ask one of the other waiters(not the one that sat us) to see what the issue was. Please note that the waiter we asked walked past us multiple times serving the tables around us. He comes back 5 minutes later telling us that there was a mix up and asks us the golden question: "what would you guys like to drink?" By that time we realize that we wouldn't get our money's worth if we stayed. As we are walking we see that the 2 couples(literally 2 different tables) had already gotten their food and drinks and were eating. So I wish I could give no stars but like the service we were hoping for it's only wishful thinking. I do not know if it was the way we look or some other odd reason we do not know but the service was terrible. I'd advise other people if they have groups of four or more to not go and spend your money else where that you'd eat your fill. Unless you look rich and are skinny then I think you're okay. At first I was worried that the price for the all you can eat option was a little high but it turned out to be totally worth it. The meats were all great and the service was excellent, the chadol is the best but I really liked the bulgogi and the pork belly and the garlic chicken. Wowza this place is poppin! all you can eat option is really the best for your money. Wasn't really sure what to expect here but cooking your meats at the table with your party was a quite an experience. This is my favorite Korean BBQ in the state of Utah I honestly think it taste better than California's Korean BBQ called Gens Korean BBQ. The only thing missing at Yummy's is RICE PAPER. But over all the food is on point. Customer service is great but last time I was there we only had one server and she was taking forever to bring our food. But I give this place all five stars only because they have the best BBQ and I just wish there was more locations in Utah and I wish I can eat here everyday cause it's that good. read more

This would be my second time coming to Yummys. Today (Valentines day) was super packed and the wait was about an hour and a half to 2 hours. All though the wait was frustrating, the reason why I'm giving it 5 stars is because of the staff. Our first experience (AYCE) here wasn't the greatest, which is why I'm still hesitant to rate them 5 stars. At the time (about a year ago) the side dishes were pretty terrible and the meat was just okay, and the server didn't seem to know almost anything about korean food. However, we were extremely satisfied with our experience today! This time, we got two entrees instead of the AYCE. The kimchi was better, the food was very tasty, and The samjang was better than other places. The service was also a lot better. After frequenting this place, I do have to take one star for the way they serve banchan. I get why they do what they do but it's an irritant and really waste of servers' times. All the banchans listed on the AYCE are not served automatically. There are several dishes that you have to ask for. Based on prior experiences, I knew this, so tonight, I asked to bring me all the banchans, yet, not all were brought. I had to ask separately for the following: Japchae Lettuce Garlic Sesame leaves/pepper So that was four different times I had to ask for things that are included at AYCE. I get that sesame leaves/peppers are not the most popular dishes but lettuce, japchae and garlic are well known especially lettuce and garlic for BBQ. But, all in all, food was delicious and service was great as usual, and I know in the big scheme of things, the irritant I pointed out doesn't bother majority of patrons. I'll be back. read more
