My husband and I are accustomed to eating every meal at home in the last couple years.Living in Castle Rock post pandemic the fast food restaurants are understaffed and terrible and the next level, dining at a table with service is incredibly expensive. Tonight we decided to go out to eat. We chose Zabraccis because we had been there a few times in the years before the pandemic and the wings are pretty good. (We are from Buffalo and have been unable to find an authentic, cooked and flavored chicken wings anywhere in Castle Rock. )We ordered a whole and a half order of wings-a total of 16. My husband had an iced tea. The wings tasted pretty good (other than the ranch dressing being like water) . The place was nearly empty but the waitress was not attentive nor even average friendly. We left still hungry and had $40 less in our wallet. We could have purchased a nice steak from King Soopers and cooked it at home for less than that. Don't waste your money here. Buy some wings at the super market and cook them in your air fryer. On a side note most of the items on the menu, including a pasta entree with no meat, are all close to $20. read more

Been coming here for years. Good food and service. HOWEVER, tonight had dinner and there was a table nearby with a screaming child the whole time that none of the staff took the initiative to ask the parents to have their child quiet down or leave. The staff did nothing so my wife asked the parents to do so and did nothing. Then as we were leaving one of the "owners" confronted me saying that these people come here all the time and that I've been here 12 hours and didn't notice a thing, I told the owner that we've been here for 1 1/2 hours and their kid has been screaming the entire time but none of the staff has done anything and we should have notified him. Not our job, his job to take control. Sorry management like so many places. Ruined our dinner. Inept management not willing to take responsibility. Never again. read more

Only the second time we have been here. The first time was amazing! A fluke? Nope! Joe was an amazing server. The food was the best I have had in Castle Rock. We sat at a booth by the kitchen and I watched who seemed to be the owner? Manager? Working respectfully with his employees. Every employee seems happy to be at a work and happy to work together. This review is strictly for a delivery order. I ordered delivery on a Monday evening and can't phantom why it would take an hour and 40 minutes to deliver something 10 minutes away but I was willing to give it a try nevertheless. I wanted to try a bit of everything. For a little shy of $55, I ordered a large pizza, chicken Alfredo, and an Italian beef sandwich. All of it was terrible! The pizza was worst than a costco pizza. Half of my pizza was burnt or well done, whatever you want to call it. The Italian beef sandwich was terribly dry which I could have lived with if they didn't forget my au jus. The tater tots was soggy and cold. The chicken on the chicken Alfredo was the biggest waste of $5 ever. The chicken was this thin, overcooked charred dried out chicken breast. The Alfredo taste like jarred sauce. All of the food arrived cold. I always try a place a second time before reviewing but this place was an epic fail. read more

The service was great. The restaurant is nice looking. The food was a different story. The calamari was way overcooked and extremely small portion for the price. The aioli was basically garlicky mayo. The marinara was outstanding. I ordered the caesar chicken sandwich. I specifically asked if the chicken was grilled chicken and was told it was. The chicken was actually deli meat. The sandwich was huge, however. The tots were ordered plain and were basically the same as you get at Sonic (except Sonic is better.) Another person in our party ordered the chicken parm sandwich, which was also large. The chicken parm, however, was cut all up (like they had to check it to make sure it was done - just not sure why they had to cut it about five times.) And, it was extremely done. It was hard - that's how done it was. The truffle tots were nothing special. The other person ordered a personal pizza. They normally order light sauce, but thankfully forgot to ask for it that way. Had they ordered light sauce, there wouldn't have been any! The pizza appears to have cornmeal on the bottom, which is normally a good thing (imo), but not when it is burnt - as it was in her case. All-in-all - for $50 for lunch for three - NOT impressed. We have decided we will give it another try - and I sure hope they get better. read more

I gave a score of 2 stars because the food was only so-so and the prices are high. We started with the Italian Beef Sliders. They would have been better without the spicy pepper relish on them for sure. Overall the flavor was OK but now worth the $9 price. My wife & I split a pepperoni pizza and my daughter had spaghetti & meatballs. We thought that the pizza was way too salty. So much so that we only at 1/2 of the pizza. Whenever we go to Granelli's the never happens. My daughter like the spaghetti but didn't think that it was worth the $14 price. I finished off the meal with a piece of cheesecake. It was good but the piece was pretty small for $8. I would have been better off spending twice that much and getting a whole cheesecake at the grocery store. We wanted to try the restaurant and now we can say that we did. We probably won't be coming back. read more

Went as guest of friends. Together we all shared garlic chicken wings and barbecue chicken wings, both bone-in Excellent with bleu cheese dip on a par with the best in Castle Rock. The husband and I shared the special pizza - meat (bacon, pepperoni, cappicolo) with extra cheese. Thin crust. Small basically 4 good-sized slices but ultra delicious. The wife had an Italian hoagie with dipping sauce - rated it excellent! Having been to cooking school in Sicily and Tuscany ... and being a WOP ... I sought out the owner-manager to compliment him on the pizza ... It was the best I have had in CR and among the best I have had anywhere in the world. (They do have another choice for pizza-Sicilian, which out of curiosity I was told takes 20 minutes to prepare and cook. Being from North Joisey I prefer the thin version.) As for drinks they have a full bar but being basically a teetotaller I had a perpetually-filled ice tea. The husband had several brews. I cannot speak to price as being a guest I never saw the bill. In my opinion they have the best pizza in Castle Rock because of their amazing crust, but all of the ingredients they use are fresh and high quality. Outstanding desserts, too, at least the limoncello cake and amazing tiramisu! I have only ordered delivery from them so far, but I look forward to trying them out in person. I love this newish restaurant in Castle Rock. Their ambiance is great, the pizza is amazing, the drinks are good! I finally tried brunch today for the first time and it was probably one of the best breakfasts I've had! The only thing I would recommend is staffing more in the kitchen because it took probably 45 minutes to get our food and I had a toddler with us which was torture, but the food was well worth the wait. Visited for the first time this afternoon. Not sure what the naysayers experienced but from the moment I walked in I felt transported to a really comfortable and updated environment. At 3pm (the start of happy hour) there were only a few people in the place on Friday so sat at the bar. The bartendress was very friendly and helpful. I had only thought to come in for a couple hours but ended up leaving 5 hours later at which time all the tables and chairs were filled and a waiting line in the lobby. I ordered the wings (half price in happy hour) and they were freshly prepared and excellent (Cajun spice and garlic Parmesan are excellent choices). Because of the friendly vibes, music not overwhelming, and a real "Cheers" feel caused me to stay and enjoy into the early evening. Then menu is has an excellent representation of Italian entrees that I look forward to trying on subsequent visits. I saw several come out to other customers and they looked hot and freshly presented. The wait staff did not appear frazzled despite the crowds and one of the fold I suspect was an owner was busy helping out in various places along side the staff. Thanks to the owners for opening their restaurant concept in downtown "Rock". Clean upscale atmosphere. I visited last Friday at 5pmish and sat at the bar. A fantastic selection of beers - on tap - I choose a pint of the graham cracker port on tap -which was delicious and sampled 2 of appetizers (pizza & 3 meat ball sliders) - all at happy hour prices. Enjoyed the company at the bar area and left with a tab of $20 before a $5 tip for outstanding service. The restaurant was packed with people waiting in the small lobby and outside for a table when I arrived and a few still doing so when I left. Plenty of families with children at this hour. Christmas lights and atmosphere in downtown Castle Rock a nice touch, the town is improving its looks and aesthetics - slowly changing from the truck stop look to a quaint mountain town. read more

Absolutely one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. Took my wife there today (mother's day) and right off the bat the hostess was rude seating us. Through the whole experience she (the hostess) seemed in a rush and not really interested in our table. Not really a big deal in and of itself if the food is good, but it wasn't. In fact it was absolutely terrible. My wife ordered the lobster risotto and I the fettuccine. After watching the kitchen fight with the waitresses for a solid 15-20 minutes our food comes out and my wife's lobster risotto STUNK, and I mean it was foul! We immediately brought it to our waitresses attention telling her how fishy it smelt to which she replied "well you did order fish.." She then recommended that we try it and let her know. You can't make this up! It smelled so bad that the manager walking could smell it and asked how it tasted which we told him there was no way we were going to eat it. The fettuccine was watery and totally flavorless which is a surprise as it's next to impossible to mess up. They did take both items off our bill, but offered little else for our experience. My 5 year asked why the kitchen was so dirty and I promise he's never wanted to clean anything in his life. It really sucks that they care so little about their customers and have no pride in the food they're serving. read more

Our company, company-wide, has been purchasing meals once a week from a local restaurant to support them - and because we love food. While our technicians never complain about free-for-them food, they don't usually exclaim how much they really enjoy a meal. Starting with the prompt repsonse from John, the owner, to Chris, the manager, to the perfectly-seasoned, little-bit-spicy, best meatballs I've ever had, Z'Abbracci was a welcome surprise! Preparing homemade spaghetti and meatballs, salad and bread, family-style, for 20 people less than an hour after the restaurant opened exceeded our expectations - worth every penny! You can taste the time that went into preparing our lunch. I think all our techs went back for seconds and thirds. I will be going back for a date night, when the restaurant resumes regular business hours - or just grabbing some meatballs to go. So good! read more

I am happy that during Covid they are able to stay open. Not sure if they are 5 star certified though. I'd give them a higher rating as we really like the food and atmosphere but this week while dining here I saw huge violations of the mask rules in place. The bartender did not have a face covering on, and patrons walked around with no face coverings to and from the restroom. We have lost friends and family members to Covid and it's so enraging to see that some people do not care that they may be passing it along unknowingly. It's the responsibility of the Mgmt to enforce policy but that wasn't happening. I also noticed a patron at the bar vaping, not even trying to hide it. Disgusting. Too bad as it looks like good money has been spent on glass partitions on some booths likely due to Covid but the staff is not on board I guess. Maybe we will try again once we are vaccinated. read more
