Omg that was so good! I got a small kefta combo and chose tabouleh and stuffed grape leaves as my sides. It exceeded my expectations! The pita was thick (like something you'd want to nap on) and tender, the rice was BOMB, and the meat was well seasoned. My sides were delicious-- exactly what I wanted. The gentleman taking orders at the counter took the time to show me the difference between small, medium, and large (it's the amount of meat you get) and he was completely cordial and professional. I was told it would be 10-15 minutes before my order was ready, and I believe it ended up being 10. The gentleman who presented my order to me was just as kind and accommodating as the first one. The place was clean and spacious, in a nice shopping plaza near a Chase bank and Starbucks and Ralph's in a decent neighborhood. I live in San Bernardino where there is a dearth of this type of cuisine, so when I have to drive out past Rancho, this is gonna be my spot. read more

This place has the best Mediterranean food I've ever had! As a South Asian woman who loves both Indian and Mediterranean flavors, I'm so happy I found this place. Every dish is delicious and flavorful, and I now cater from them for every gathering. My guests always rave about the food and want to know where it's from! They offer great prices for the portion and are incredibly accommodating with special requests, which I really appreciate. I honestly end up eating here at least once a week! Mike, who's often there, is such a joy to see every time I go there. He's super friendly, makes the food with so much care, and always has a warm smile. His welcoming attitude makes every visit even better. The customer service is outstanding, and they make me feel like a valued customer every time. Highly recommend this spot. So I'm visiting mom from Los Angeles today and getting her favorite falafel sandwich while I'm going to try their shwarma beef wrap! Mmm...can't wait! ***UPDATE I feel like I just left a Mexican fast food place. I'm loving the inside of this burrito but I am SO DISAPPOINTED that the latin men in the kitchen think that they can take short cuts with tortillas that are more cost efficient instead of a pita. I did not want a burrito! I am offended. Also everything is falling out. I also have Middle Eastern descent and I wanted my wrap to be wrapped with a pita. WOW...this never happens in Los Angeles! Talk about why I don't care for this area anymore. I want culture and not to be bombarded with Mexican this and Mexican that. I'm sorry, I'm proud of my heritage and love my Mexican food, but I came here for Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine only. Thank you to Sally who my mother just spoke with about getting us a replacement meal like we had anticipated in the first place. Currently I don't feel like driving in this triple digit heat and this will have to wait for another time. PS make sure if you want authenticity, ask for a pita bread even though we should not have to do this. I'm so disappointed. Again tortillas do not belong in Mediterranean cuisine period. It took me a long while to finally decide to come here, and I'm sorry that I waited so long to do so. Decided to go with my go-to dish at Mediterranean restaurants, and I have to say that they definitely make a pretty good chicken kabob plate. Not the best (Janet's Mediterranean in Duarte is my #1), but certainly worth a try if you are in the neighborhood. The cashier wasn't the friendliest, but whatever. Wifey placed an order and they said it'd be ready in 15min but took a bit longer because they made her fresh rice at closing! The man that helped her was very nice and gave her a free baklava while she waited. Food was flavorful and fresh! Pretty good price for the quantity of food we received. Wow! Their food was delicious!!!!! I didn't even get to take a pic bc the food smelled so good once I opened it. I was craving something filling and healthy and this did it! I tried the number 5 and 8 medium rare and medium. Soooooooo good, the meat was so soft and juicy. This was my first time ordering and so happy with my experience. The employees were welcoming and flexible since I ordered my food over the phone and placed it without the hummus they accommodate which I really appreciated. The restaurant itself was clean too. So this place is really good, BUT the prices are crazy expensive. I got a medium chicken shawarma plate and it was almost $20. The portions are pretty big, but I just felt that the pricing was steep. A small is about $12 so from a small to a medium, that's a pretty big jump. Excellent service though and pretty quick considering your meal is cooked to order. Food itself was really good like I said. Chicken wasn't dry at all. Rice was flavorful. The potato salad and cucumber yogurt was some of the best I've had! My dad got the grape leaves and those I would pass on to be honest. Pita bread had a really good chew to it and the garlic sauce was also really good! I was just driving randomly through the area When I saw this place. It's has 4.5 stars on yelp. Being lebanese myself and I prepare falafel from scratch I decided to come and try it out. Hummus yummy the garlic was perfecting lemony and the bread was warm. Falafel was green on the inside (my favorite). Veramicelli rice was not greasy. Tabouleh samad was fresh. Bread was warm. The absolute BEST Mediterranean food in Rancho Cucamonga HANDS down, no arguments about it. The meat that is prepared is super fresh, and the the sides that you can select are SOOO GOOD. I always get the hummus, and potato salad and side salad. The meals come with the rice, protein and bread. I sometimes use the coupons that are on Instagram and I saw recently there was in the paper. The prices are super fair based on the quality of food that is given. If you are looking for more meat chicken sherwama is the way to go!! I come here often with family and am able to split meals into two. YUMMY! read more

I am loving this place and have updated my rating to five stars. I always order through grub hub and the food is consistent each and every time. Kudos to the cook- he does a great job every time!!! Last time I tipped him instead of the cashier because he deserves it. Owners are very nice here and I haven't seen the grumpy female cashier. Service has improved since my last review, so I have updated it accordingly. Chicken shawarma is slightly curried, but comes with this addictive rice. I couldn't stop eating their rice. Their garlic sauce complements their food so nicely. The hummus is creamy. The tabbouleh is fresh and tart with strong hints of lemon juice. I'd recommend ordering your food over the phone and picking it up. They also participate in numerous delivery services- DoorDash, GrubHub and Yelp Eats. Food is fresh even for delivery. I always see coupons for this place in your local flavor magazine. I love this place. read more

We've been coming here for years, both dining in and takeout. Everything we have tried has been very good. Chicken kebabs or shawarma, lamb kababs or the Kefta are all very good. Their rice is moist and there is a good size portion. The potato salad, grape leaves and falafel all are very good sides. Can I just say for a moment that I love Zait Bistro?! I have been frequenting this restaurant for sometime now, and everything I have eaten here has been absolutely delicious. My favorite thing on their menu is the chicken kabobs and Mediterranean salad. And their rice...YUMMY! The food takes a little longer than your average quick service restaurant, but it is made to order. It's always served hot and tasty too. As for the customer service, they aren't very chitchatty, but only because they are so busy. I am always greeted with a warm smile and hello upon entering the building though. What can I say? This is my favorite Mediterranean food restaurant. They just have delicious food, my faves are the Kefta, beef and chicken shawarma. Came here for the first time with my sister who was visiting from out of state. Decided to try out the place. Wasn't impressed with the young guy who was working the counter. We walked in and he ignored us, I said hi to him and he ignored us again. He was not very helpful and didn't seem happy with working there ? It was very awkward and I had to answer my sisters questions about the food on his behalf because he was rude and not helpful. I wish we would have gone somewhere else to eat. When you spend $47 and treated like crap then I think I'll find another Mediterranean place to eat from now on. On a side note, the fresh salads were good. Someone needs to train the young kid on customer service. read more

My favorite Mediterranean pick-up establishment. Food-wise, this is on-par with Jose Andres' Zaitinya. I always go for their lamb chop, chicken shawarma, and beef kabob. Just make sure to call ahead as Zait is almost always busy, especially around dinner times. read more

At Zait Bistro, we do things as a family. Chef Sammy Zait is in the kitchen, using his many years of experience as a chef in Dubai to craft fresh Mediterranean dishes, and Lizzy Zait is busy running the business. Together, they're grateful to be able to pursue their passions and serve their favorite dishes to the community. Established in 2015.

Zait Bistro is the love child of husband and wife team, Chef Sammy Zait and Lizzy Zait. In the early 2015, homesick for the favorite street food of Beit Jala, they heard of a tiny store front available on quiet Terra Vista Village in Rancho Cucamonga and decided to open their own Mediterranean Grill. Relying on his years of international cooking experience as well as his roots, and her business management and organizational skills Sammy and Lizzy created a menu centered around street food with a gourmet twist. The freshness and quality of the ingredients coupled with Sammy's spin on traditional flavors give new meaning to the concept of convenience food.

Their chicken sandwiches are flavorful, high-quality, and crispy! Their house sauces are the best I've ever had, especially the sweet jalapeño and kimchi aioli The owner(s) and employees are very friendly and helpful! I can tell they love their craft and their customers, as every meal is perfect and they even remembered us and our usual orders from many months ago (we used to come all the time before we moved). If you sit at their counter table, they check in on you and how everything tastes, and make conversation :) They're also generous, always giving free refills and sometimes giving us complimentary side sauces! As popular as they are, they sold out an hour before closing today on a Tuesday, so come a little early so you don't miss out!

It's a good sign when customers are still coming in till the end. Well done CAVA! Interior was bright and clean. Non-occupied tables were busted. Both indoor and outdoor seatings are available. Fountain drink station and selective standalone drinks are present for your choosing. Restrooms are in the back of the restaurant. Got in line with maybe about 10+ people ahead of me. I feel their system needs to be improved a bit. I understand they can't move forward with the bowls until the bowls in the front are done. Every step of the way, our bowls were filled, but just sitting there getting cold until the previous bowls are done. Not sure how they can improve the assembly. Btw, their ingredients stations were messy not the most organized bins. Crumbs of stuff all over the place. You'll see what I mean when you see the photos. They really need to keep their stations clean and organized. Anyway, I wanted to try the Spicy Lamb Bowl, but the meat didn't look as great as the ones at Pasadena. So I got the Harissa Honey Chicken Avocado Bowl again. The chicken was not in big chunks like the other place. Oh well. Got the bowl as the chef curated plus a few more toppings such slaw, tomato + cucumber, and tomato + onion. Unlimited toppings as many as you choose. Selective toppings such as avocado may have an extra charge. Soda water wasn't working great at the fountain station. Someone needs to check it out. Bowl was good, but was not as good as the one I had at Pasadena. Something was off about it. Maybe the ingredients did not have the same level of preparation and freshness. Not really sure. One more thing, this bowl doesn't normally come with a pita, but I was offered one pita free of charge at the Pasadena location. I wasn't offered the same here. Bummer! Staff was okay not the most welcoming and smiliest. Nonetheless, still a great place to get one of their Chef-Curated Bowls at varying prices or Build Your Own (BYO) bowl starting at $12.95. Just be mindful the price could add up with BYO. I may return again, but during earlier hours and not at almost closing time. Hopefully the stations will be much cleaner and organized. Thanks CAVA!

My favorite childhood Italian family food joint used linguine as their "spaghetti" so that was what I thought of when it came to most pairings of sauce to noodle. Pomodoro, bolognese, and even my current sauce of choice, chili, will always be paired with linguine if I had my druthers. So it's always a bit disappointing to see a fresh pasta place not even offer it on the menu. I don't think it's a fair measuring stick comparing linguine to a spaghetti, a fett, or even a rotelle like I had here. They will never measure up because the mouth feel wil always be off. Don't mistake me; the rotelle Pomodoro was quite tasty, especially with that decent-sized meatball and focaccia on the side. That sauce was even a good choice because I always liked the simpler sauces. But always, always I think about how much better the meal would've gone with a nice linguine steering the ship. The service was good, if a bit brusque. The food came out quick and the server was even nicer serving than when I ordered. I like the ambiance too. Everything is spaced nicely for a restaurant this size. It feels relaxing in here and a place you can could host a good meal with a small set of friends. I don't think you need any more than that if it's a casual night. All in all, I like this place and will hit it up again if I feel like a non-linguine pasta night.

Was nice but definitely shareable Staff was typically friendly, but noticing small things like knife placement was incorrect, side of serving food, slow refills on water/soft drinks, and never taking our orders could definitely be improved on. I think since we had multiple waiters come by, so they may have gotten confused with our party? The food was enjoyable but no avocado in the house salad was a bummer.
