I had a review that was not favorable before today. I bought the pair posted, they broke, it was only 3 months and was for a wedding anniversary. Zales was unable to repair. I expressed my concerns to the staff about quality and how disappointed i was, and they were great. They got me into a better pair my wife loves to death, they got me a warranty and they were so easy to work with and understanding it really went from a very odd bad experience to a really great one! Welcome back Batima!!! I've gotten mostly all of my gifts from here, as well as, jewelry for myself in my past rich life. Lol My last purchase was my birthstone necklace as a gift to myself for my birthday a few years back. I like the jewelry here, because of it's warranties, service on repairs as well as, credit on more jewelry if you break it and it can't be repaired. They often have great sales as well!!! Batima was moved to another location at one point against my liking which, I followed her since she knows my taste and patterns. I will NEVER again go to Zales they rip you off!!!!! My wife and I went to Zales in Chandler mall to have her wedding ring fixed because one of the prongs needed to be fixed and we were told it would be around 75.00 dollars. Delivery quoted was 2 weeks. When she just picked it up it WAS OVER 400.00 Dollars. AND over 2 weeks late. The reason given was there was additional work required and when we signed the paperwork it said could be more. THIS IS CRAP. there was no notification letting us know additional work was required..... Just well you did sign. Last year I accidentally thew away my wedding ring set after placing it in a paper towel for what I thought was safe keeping . These past few weeks we decided to replace it . With the emotional attachment that I had with the ring that I threw away it was very hard to pick one out . I contacted zales where we originally got my ring from and was informed that they no longer make the ring I had, its line had retired. I called around and got a hold of a sales representative named Megan immediately started tracking down my ring and kept me updated on how things were going . It didn't seem like we were having any luck . I had lost all hope . Megan contacted me a week later and found not only one but two identical rings to the one that I originally had and had them shipped to her store so that I could view them. I couldn't believe how dedicated she was in helping a complete stranger when it seemed nearly impossible. not only did she find two rings, but she was able to find it in my size ! On October 5th I dropped my watch off for repair with Sherrick Davis, Store Manager. He explained it needed to be sent offsite and I would get an estimate within 1.5 weeks. At the two week mark, I called to follow up. I was told that the "associate" that I spoke with provided incorrect information. I asked when I might expect my watch and I was put on the phone with an extremely rude woman that claimed to be the asst. store manager, Michelle. She started off on the defensive, refusing provide me any information or explaining how the store manager could be wrong in the information he provided. She told me to "calm down" when I was not yelling and every time I tried to speak she cut me off. When I asked her to stop cutting me off, she hung up on me. I proceeded to go to the store to get resolution. She continued her rude behavior, she called security on my when I questioned her. I lost my temper and did nothing more than raise my voice because, as far as I am concerned, this store has stolen my property. They refuse to provide any updates, she refuses to answer any questions and she refuses to tell me where my property is located. DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE read more

Four stars strictly for one of the sales people who help us today, Bobby. My husband and I walked in expecting to just get my ring funded easily and get the diamonds checked - two of my prongs broke and I've had the set for a little over a year now. There were two sales people towards the back that I walked in the direction of, Bobby and an older woman with long black hair in a pony tail. Right off of the bat I knew this would be an issue - as I started to explain why I was there the woman basically said she didn't want to work with me / us. She told Bobby to handle our transaction but ended up doing it herself, I'm assuming Bobby is her manager at this point. I then do into detail why we are there and she begins to ask me questions about the situation. I tell her that I need my ring checked and fixed, and she proceeds to ask if I have the warranty. I thought I did at this point as we purchased my rings online and have to come in twice a year to have a Diamond Bond Warranty - come to find its just for the diamonds and no repairs. I'm stressed at this point because not only is she being rude and pushy, but I didn't know about the warranty and would have purchased it at the time we bought our rings, had it been an option. She's giving me options but she's commenting almost backhanded. I turned to my husband red in the face with how frustrated I was with her, she was not trying to help us whatsoever. I have two rings in a set then one I purchased to go with the set, and she starts telling me how it's not covered by the warranty I just paid 100$ for, luckily Bobby heard what was going on and overrode her and said it would be covered due to the pricing brackets the warranties are in. After all of this hassle Bobby to the rescue - and I am getting my rings fixed. Looking forward to picking them up in a few weeks, I appreciate Bobby's customer service and for making the executive decisions to help a stressed and PAYING customer out. read more

This store is under new management, and the service is much better. I went in last year and no one acknowledged me for at least 10 minutes, but my experience was completely different on my most recent visit. This location also has a better selection of items than other Zales stores that I have visited. I was interested in looking at their watches. They have multiple brands at different price points, which was nice. I really like their Movados. *The store is located right next to the Barnes & Noble entrance/exit. read more

FRAUDS!!-sold my daughter earrings and claimed they were 14k gold, they were actually 10k gold. She wore once and turned her ears green. Paid cash, attempted to return for refund and claim they have no cash and will have to wait up to 21 days for a check. Any other jeweler would be a better choice than this company. read more

I went into Chandler Mall 2 days before Christmas. I didn't really knowing where I was going to buy from. I was looking for a nice bracelet that represented my sons birth month. I went to a few places that had a few options but never got the 1 on 1 attention that I needed to find that perfect gift. I finally went to Zales & was helped by Maggie. Let me tell you that she put my nerves at ease and was beyond friendly and helpful. She asked my lots of questions so she could get a feel for what I was looking for. She showed me a few items without any pressure at all to pick one. Once I saw the Opal bracelet, that was it!! It was even at a lower price than listed on the tag which was fantastic!! She even wrapped it up for me and put it in a decorative bag all ready to be put under the tree!! She was absolutely the best!! They want me to leave without any receipts or paperwork and they want to keep my ring that I bought years ago and was going to upgrade. There is a woman who works there with a very heavy accent who should never work in a position which is customer facing. She is rude, accusatory and unhelpful. This situation alone was bad enough. Went in with my already bought pandora triple band bracelet and was asking one of the employees if one of the charms would fit on my bracelet. She said "yes you just have to keep twisting" she then took it from my hands and twisted so hard she tore my bracket to my bracelet off! She then said that she didn't brake it and tried stuffing the bracelet bracket back on! Their manager Joe apparently was out and I was the one liable for buying another bracelet! Zales in Chandler Mall- Don't ever go keep walking!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience every time I come here. I took my ring in to get resized and a sapphire replaced under neath as it already fell out (3 weeks after I got my ring RED FLAG right there that diamonds were already coming loose)... they told me a week. I called every day after a week and they kept saying another week. I finally had to call to tell them, 3 and a half weeks later, I needed my ring ASAP for my engagement photos. So they got it the next day and it looks WORSE then when I left it there. The center diamond is YELLOW!! Doesn't look anything like when I left it. And then the sapphire on the bottom literally looks like it was hot glued in.. I mean you can see the glue just like a hot glue gun and the prongs are way bigger then the second sapphire. When I told the assistant manager he told me it was my fault that it was like that because they had to rush and put it in since I needed it so soon. He literally blamed me!! When it was sitting there for 3 and a half weeks. And said I needed to bring it back in for another 2-3 week to be fixed! I am appalled for how much money my fiancé is spending on this ring for horrible horrible service. Don't ever come here, don't buy anything from this place. They don't help you and when you bring up their mistake they blame you and say it's your fault to why it's like that. read more

I came to get my husband a wedding band as we had eloped and the only thing he had was a silicone ring which he still was happy about it. I thought oh it's the holiday season let me get him something he deserves. I found a ring online that I liked and showed a shorter lady with reddish hair in the store. She found three different ones similar to the one I saw. It was more in store than online but whatever. They didn't have the size I needed for my husband so the lady was offering me options and this older guy with glasses came and butted in on our conversation and rudely said we can't order it and then I said okay, back to speaking to the lady, where can I get it resized and again this older guy said you can't resize it it's (whatever the material ring was idk I really didn't care). He said it so rudely and made me feel like an idiot. He then apologized to the woman he was helping like as if me being there was bothering her or him. The lady who originally helped me could tell I was upset so I told her thank you and left leaving the store, crying. I went in to get something nice, the lady asked about my husband and I which was nice and she was helpful but this man was so rude. I went to Kays and ended up spending 3x more what I wouldve here but I'm not giving my money to this establishment. Completely ruined my experience. read more

Service is awful, we have been in 5 separate times, and every single time, the sales lady with the heavy accent treats us like dirt, even though we ultimately decided on a wedding band there. The only time she was nice to us was when she rang us up for the ring itself. I went in to get it resized, since they couldn't seem to order my ring in my actual size and it was like pulling teeth. I asked for a quote for a european shank, she looked at me like i was crazy. we get a call 1 week later and the quote for a size 3.5 ring to get a euro shank was $215!!!! are you joking!?! I really regret buying my wedding band here and wish i didn't have to deal with them especially since we got roped into buying the warranty. read more

Have been told every time I call to check the status of my ring "we always call when it comes in" yet multiple times I have had pieces sitting in the store for weeks with no phone call. Once I finally convince an employee to check, they have found my piece, 2-3 weeks past the estimated completion date. My husband has said over and over again "if I knew they were so terrible, I wouldn't have bought you anything from there." Zales ruined my engagement ring a month after my fiancé proposed! My fiancé purchased my ring out of state, and proposed in Arizona, where we live, in July. The ring is a beautiful platinum, 34 carat princess cut center stone, with 5 surrounding diamonds on each side. Because we do not live in the state the ring was purchased, we had to get the ring sized at a different company. I brought the ring to my local Zales to have it sized down. I even paid an extra ten dollars to put a "rush" on the ring. Three days later the ring was ready, I immediately noticed that my platinum ring was no longer a perfect circle. The bottom of the band had a very dark grey chunk in it, and was extremely noticeable. Disappointed and nervous of the damage, I asked to speak with the manager, "Joe". He began to tell me that "the ring had been sized before, and this is just what can happen". After arguing with him for 15 minutes, he reluctantly said he could have the jeweler fix the ring, and have it plated. I explained that this was a platinum ring, and it shouldn't need to be plated, and only polished. Three days later, the ring was "ready" again. I went back to the store with my fiancé, and Joe presented the ring. The band was still not a perfect circle, and just doesn't seem right. He confirmed that they plated the ring with Rhodium, and went on explaining how a ring is sized. Joe then began to explain how rings are sized, from going down a size, taking out the diamonds, and then placing them back when the band is ready...etc. Because I didn't want their jeweler "Mike" to tough my ring again, I took the ring home with me. Four months later, I traveled back to the state where the ring was purchased. I brought the ring to a master jeweler I have used multiple times, to get a price quote for fixing the band. He examined my ring thoroughly, and came back with horrible news! He informed me that when my ring was sized, the jeweler used white gold, and not platinum to size the band. Also, the center diamond was taken out of the setting. Then, when it was placed back, the corner of the diamond was chipped, and now has a crack going through it! He said the micro plier marks are still on the prongs, and explained exactly how it was chipped. He also showed me that the diamond was not even sitting correctly in the prongs, and was slanted. Immediately I called Zales, and had the district manager "Susan" contact me immediately. After two phone calls, the ring was shipped out to Zales corporate location, where it was to be evaluated, I was told this would only take two weeks. Five weeks, four voice mails, and one phone call to the store manager (who knew nothing regarding my ring's status) later, I was furious. The store manager at a different store, "Mary" called to inform me that Zales would not be replacing my diamond. This was the only information she had, but then proceeded to insult me asking why I didn't notice the chip earlier. The same chip, that she couldn't see herself, when I dropped the ring off! When I explained that the chip is not visible to the naked eye, and is under the prong, she replied with "Well most people would notice something is wrong with their ring right away because they are looking at it all the time, but I guess you don't do that". Mary continued to inform me that the jeweler "Mike" that worked on my ring originally has been let go, and is no longer working for the company. However, because he is obviously so reliable, Zales is referring to his documentation of my ring, for their final decision. This is the last straw! Not only do I STILL not have my engagement ring, I have yet to receive any kind of apology from this company! I am a supervisor, and have worked in customer service for years. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! This company does not stand behind their work, and has officially RUINED my engagement ring! I will be making this a public issue, and am determined to be reimbursed for the damage of my ring! If you ever need any work done, do not go to Zales, they will only ruin your jewelry! Customer service was terrible and they tried to refund less than what I actually paid for the merchandise. Additionally they made me wait 30 minutes for a manager to try and help me out. read more

Terrible customer service! I waited for over an hour without so much as a greeting. I would have left sooner, but I was due fir my 6 month check up on my wedding ring. On of the associated attended some else who wasn't waiting as long because they were standing closer. Not that anyone was keeping track of who was there. When I was finally attended the lady checked the ring in front of me, shook it near her ear, said nothing is loose and set it down. Did not even bother to offer to clean it and didn't seem like she was going to document it. I had to ask for the cleaning. I bought my wedding ring here and i found the same one in 14k for the same price as the 10k at another zales. I traded the rings and sent my new ring to be sized. When i got it back it was a size 8 and I'm a size 5. I sent it again and it took a month to come back and i had to call about it. When i picked it up it was still a size 8. My fiancé and I went into Zales at Chandler Fashion Center in Arizona looking for rings prior to the engagement. We had Jen helping us and found the perfect ring. She wrote my ring size down for him so he could get it perfect. While my fiancé was away at pre deployment training, he put that ring on hold so he could buy it when he got back. When he got back, the ring had doubled in price and he had to get a different ring, which is completely fine because I love my ring. Jen told my fiancé his credit was half of what it actually was. So he wasn't able to get the ring he wanted because she gave him false credit. So my fiancé proposed on July 2nd, and the ring was way too big...? Thought she would have given us the correct size since she wrote it down in the first place. So we took it in the very next day to get it sized and Jen said it would take a couple weeks. WHAT? My fiancé was being deployed in two weeks and we wanted the ring before he left. Turns out, she gave him a size 7 instead of a size 5. So the ring size was her fault. Then my fiancé called and asked if we could have the ring expedited because it had been two weeks and still no ring, and he was leaving in a few days. We spoke to Joe and he said he would get it to us before my fiancé left. We went into the store the next day and Jen laughed in our face when we said we spoke to someone that said they would have the ring there for us. She said theres no way it will be here before he leaves. We were furious with how she treated us. Thanks to Joe though and the manager who's name we didn't get, we now have the ring and my fiancé leaves tomorrow. I would not recommend buying any jewelry from Zales. read more
