Excellent flavor. The Tri tip was my fave. Chicken kabob was a little dry but the spices were excellent. The hummus and pickle that come on the side are quite good. Plus TONS of Pita bread. Overall, this is an alright place for a quick bite. I got the beef Lule and chicken kabob. The beef was pretty bland and dry, so this was disappointing. The chicken was great, really flavorful and still moist. The hummus is good and the pita bread is a lot better if you crisp it up a little on the stove or broiler. This garlic paste....is.....a-mazing. Chicken is always fantastic, I just have cravings for this. I love Zankou Chicken. The chicken is perfect and all the sides are delicious. This review is mostly for a woman working there who was working the register when I went in. I believe her name is Perchui, but she has to be one of the nicest and most pleasant people I've ever encountered working in a restaurant. Good food, terrible service. While the food here is consistent in its quality, the business is just as consistent with its lack of timeliness and customer care. I have ordered from here over the phone, through online delivery services, and even in person on site, only to have my order heavily delayed and not ready at the estimated time. Similar to other posts, if they know things are going to take longer I'd rather just know that from the start. Instead, I have been left waiting for an hour, in-store, or even had my online order canceled, with no notice until I called. I've had a majority of the food on the menu and feel pretty good afterwards, considering it's not anything like organic ingredients. Mmm.. three stars. Maybe I've just ate at this place one too many times, in addition to some others reasons that don't make this place shine. When I first tried Zankou (dangit, I keep typing Zankyou for some reason) Chicken years ago, I loved it too, I thought it was pretty delicious chicken. But then I noticed that it really doesn't seem that fresh. The chicken looks limp and actually becomes kind of soggy after the first day on the table. But it does retain its original taste, but that could be because it seems like they've overdosed the chicken with too much salty flavor. But still, my family remains faithful to Zankou Chicken, our first stop for instant dinner below 20 bucks for the whole family when we're too lazy to cook for ourselves. Growing up, it's like I've been trained to say "One whole chicken to go" at the register. It's similar with a lot of my other friends families. Lots of people like it, it's good. The folks here are genuinely nice so it gets an extra star. Had the roasted chicken wrap (moist and delicious), shawerma and salad. All satisfying and well seasoned. And when I asked for some extra pickles they gave 'em to me free of charge. They've done that more than once. I like it; it makes me patronize them more often when they give me little perks. Going back next week if I'm around. Service there is much friendlier than the one on Glenoaks (also in Glendale); I'm not sure the cashiers there are awake most of the time. We ordered zankou chicken through doordash today. 1st time trying the food and it was really good. We ordered the family meal comes with 1 whole rotisserie chicken , 1 packet of pita bread, and two large sides + garlic sauce. The chicken itself is very flavorful and juicy. We ordered rice which was very flavorful & side green salad which was fresh and big portion. The garlic sauce is a must, it elevates the flavors. We shall visit soon! read more

Meaning it is not dry, rubbery, burnt, or otherwise turned into a mess that you may as well toss to your dog who will also ignore it because it doesn't meet HIS standards as well. Trust me, the chicken here will NOT dissapoint. The rotisserie chicken is here comes with warm pita, hummus, some pickled veggies, and their amazing garlic paste. Slap it all together and you have a mini-wrap that will tickle your senses and leave you searching for some after dinner mints. I have tried the falafel here as well, but I'm not sure if I got it on a bad day or if that is how it always is, but they were a little overdone and really dry. Nothing a lot of hummus won't fix, but I definitely didn't eat it by itself after one bite. They also have really cute small baklava rolls, which are very tasty as well. read more

By far one of my favorite Zankou locations. It's about 5 minutes away from the Glendale Galleria Mall and Americana. Chicken is super tender and the plates are all on point. two negative thoughts are it took us about 20 minutes to wait for our food ( 2 people) and the skin for the chicken was pretty salty. Pros: Unlike the anaheim location, the chicken is tender, filled with meat and they give you pretty much unlimited garlic paste!! As their ad says, " I come here for my garlic fix" I truly believe that and I take it seriously. I'm pretty sure I walk out smelling like a bag of raw garlics. They messed up my orders 3 different times. No matter how many times u tell them u don't want tomato in your chicken kabob sandwich they will keep ignoring it. Also when you order chicken shawarma you get beef shawarma instead. I used to go to this place in orange and their prices were way cheaper and it came with this delicious rice. Worst Zankou branch. I purchased To Go and had to come back coz they don't include everything in the bag. You literally have to ask for everything one by one from saurkraut to yellow pepper to garlic paste. They're so stingy! I'd rather go to Cafe Bravo by Glenoaks next time for shawarma and kabobs!
