Food: tasty (it's like an Asian chipotle). Service: average. Ambiance: chipotle-like (but Asian).

Am a regular here and all of the other Zao's around town. Don't know why I never remembered to check in on Yelp. Quality of the food, fast service, safe ingredients are all found in this establishment. Wished they would bring back their Thai iced tea. They knew how to make it so strong and bold. Will be back for sure!

Hands down, Zao is one of my favorite places to eat. Their food is fresh, flavorful and the service is quick and spot on! I've never had an incorrect order. My favorite thing to get is their salad with tofu, jalapeños and chili lemon grass dressing!! Whether you're dining in, getting to go or ordering online, it all tastes great!! All of their locations are equally good and consistent!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was one other person in here. First thoughts were that the place looks neat and clean. They had two people behind the counter that were very helpful and respectful. Since it was my first time here, I didn't really know the tastes. I was really curious about the meatballs and what they tasted like so the man behind the counter gave me a sample without any hesitation. I ordered the bowl with brown rice, carrots, a full order of chicken and meatballs, cilantro, topped off with their yellow curry. Such a good bowl! The flavors were awesome. I couldn't finish the bowl because they put tons of rice. That's the only reason I docked them one star- too much rice. Rice is a filler that most places pile on because it's cheap, so it looks like your getting tons of food. Next time, I'll ask for light rice. Overall, good food, clean tables and chairs, spacious, respectful and helpful staff. I'll come back for sure.

Some new favorites were the Beef Teriyaki Bento dinner box, Snowbird Roll, Unagi Roll, California Roll with Tobiko, and the Boston Roll. Of course, I still stuck with some of my old favorites like their Cheese Rangoons and Spicy Crab Roll (perhaps that's why I'm still a bit of a "crab"? ;+) The beef in the Teriyaki Bento was rather surprising for a Japanese/sushi restaurant. Definitely tasted grilled/barbequed like. Not fried in a pan or cooked in the oven like all the other establishments. It had a very smoky flavor (heavenly), which definitely wasn't from the sauce (as that was teriyaki). 10/10 cooked perfectly without overdoing the included teriyaki sauce on top. Good portion size for a Bento Box that also came with steamed white rice, two orange slices, two gyoza, and a fresh salad with ginger dressing (also not overdone/oversaturated). If you are actually eating in the restaurant you also receive Miso soup with the Bento Box. The sushi rolls were all equally delicious, fresh, and good portion sizes with fresh fish both rolled and hand rolled (depending on your preference; they certainly don't disappoint). Very pleased I was in the area to give Golden Bistro another go, as now I'm craving it once again every day it seems.

The whole family appears to work there, and everyone is so sweet and kind. The place itself is neat and clean and bright and welcoming. After looking over the menu, I decided to order a few things to try. I had the pan fried dumplings, the stirfried bok choy, and the garlic fried rice. The dumplings came out first, and we're very tasty. The stirfry bok choy was both beautiful and delicious - perfectly cooked! And the garlic fried rice... What can I say - it was delicious! There was so much of it, I had to take most of it to my hotel room for breakfast the next morning. The owner came and sat down at my table and chatted, and it was a pleasure meeting her as well as her whole family. This is a great place and when and if I pass through the area again, I will definitely eat here!

It's a family-run restaurant with an open kitchen, so you can see every dish being prepared right in front of you. It doesn't feel like a typical restaurant--it feels like you've been invited into their home. And what truly sets this place apart is the people behind it. The father took the time to walk us through the menu and explain each dish in detail. The mother shared the cultural and historical inspiration behind the plates, connecting the food back to the Philippines in such a meaningful way. Their son served us with professionalism and genuine kindness. You can feel the pride, love, and intention in everything they do. What we ordered: Pork Lumpia with Sweet Chili Sauce - perfectly crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor. Sizzlin' OINK Sisig - served hot with an egg on top... bold, savory, and absolutely addictive. Lechon OINKawali - crispy pork belly done right: crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. Pancit Noodles - THE BEST NOODLES EVER!!!! And for dessert: Banana - Bowlicious - fried plantains tossed in cinnamon sugar, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle... the perfect sweet finish. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the fried sweet plantain banana desert but I have to say that the flavor still lingers in my mouth and my heart! Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The sauces are clearly made from scratch, and the flavors are rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced. And the value? Unbeatable. We ordered appetizers, three main dishes, and two desserts and the bill left me speechless in a good way :) If you're looking for authentic Filipino cuisine with heart, story, and flavor this is the place. Highly recommend. Thank you for an amazing last dinner in Utah! I will absolutely be back.
