I moved to my new apartment on Feb 8th. It was my first time to hire professional movers, but I was already impressed with how Zapt Movers treated me prior to the moving day. The customer support Fabio and Allysa were very prompt, polite and efficient, making sure that everything was ready, sent me all the information I'll be needing, and constantly asking if I needed anything more (without being too pushy!). Kinda too good to be true for being that attentive! I had two stop overs on the moving day, and Zapt didn't charge me for those stop overs. Jose Padilla and Benjamin did an awesome job! They were wearing masks and gloves the whole time. Jose informed me that they will begin with the job, the start time, and had me electronically sign the contract for the initial job. They are young men but so professional, quick and friendly at the same time. Geez they were strong, mind ya! Carrying 2-4 boxes at once yet they were very careful! And none of my things got damaged or lost. They taped and sealed all my open boxes, and wrapped my furniture and other fragile items in thick cloths then wrapped again in plastic wraps. After unloading everything, they put together my furniture. They also asked me to check the truck to make sure everything was taken in to my apartment. Payment was a breeze, they showed me the transaction and the total time consumed. I paid via Zelle, and then I got the signed (both me and one of the movers signed) receipts and contract in the email right away. After doing several research looking for movers, I'm so glad I picked Zapt Movers! I felt safe knowing all my very valuable and very fragile belongings were with them. We really appreciate Zapt Movers willingness to fit us into your schedule on very short notice. A different moving service did not honor the reservation we made with them then rebooked it to another customer due to the owner not properly communicating with his scheduler, even after three calls over two weeks. I was told that they would not be able to move us while I was on the East coast immediately after a family member's funeral. After calling my spouse back home, she was able to connect and reserve a date with Zapt Movers that same day (a Thursday) for the following Tuesday. Thank you for Zapt Movers for accommodating us during a difficult time and circumstances. Our move using Zapt was from a 2 bedroom condo unit in Vacaville to a 3 bedroom unit within the same complex. Sounds simple enough, but we needed help. We boxed a number of things ourselves prior to their arrival. Those boxes they carried and loaded carefully to their moving truck. When the 3 workers arrived and worked diligently, focusing on the larger items we own. They shrink wrapped those items, disassembled and wrapped others, and loaded our them on their truck carefully and in timely fashion. What we truly appreciated was their willingness and ability to "fix" a few things on certain pieces of furniture like loose handles, bent dresser drawer guides, etc. after moving those items into our new unit. (Nice touch... I'm not a handyman!) The job took about an hour longer than we had estimated, but it was well worth it. After completion, a review of the total time and associated cost was presented to us for our review and and questions. We paid with a Discover Card and that went smoothly. I hired Zapt movers for two moves. One from Hayward to San Carlos (my mother was moving into a Next Gen house with us) and two days later, from San Carlos to Cameron Park (2.5hour drive). The employees were great and so was their support staff. They were quick, efficient and got the job done. I was amazed how quickly they worked. Zapt movers has GPS tracking on their devices that is activated before your movers arrive. It was a great convenience to see where the Zapt team was at during the journey, as I had to pick up the keys, pick up some burritos for the movers, and try to beat them to the house (I did NOT beat them to the house)! The team is a great value - their bid was significantly less than competing offers and they were surprisingly accurate with their hours estimate. I did provide photos of our stuff and did my best to give a good estimate of our inventory. Our move required two trucks. I read some of the negative reviews and don't recommend this company for: - control freaks who want to dictate how stuff and when things should be loaded into the truck. They have impressive Tetris skills and so far, after unpacking four rooms worth of things + a den, I have exactly one damaged ceramic bowl. - folks who do a poor job at estimating the amount of stuff they are moving and expect twice as many things to be moved within estimate window - people who expect everyone to understand and speak perfect English. The team is there to move things from Point A to Point B, not take care of your phobias. The movers are humble and hard-working and did their best to provide great service. Zapt Movers has good quality, good value, and personnel are professional and responsive. Why good quality: the Zapt Movers personnel who prepared our furniture, TV, couch, dinette table and chairs,beds and mattresses and various pieces of gym equipment for loading were extra careful by wrapping the furniture with shrink wrap, boxing up the TV and textile moving blankets, etc before taking those out from the apartment. Once loaded, these items were properly secured in the truck. At the offload site, they were careful in moving these items up the stairway and meticulously removed any wrapping items. All trash were removed from the house after the job of offloading was completed. My hats off to these Zapt Movers personnel, Cesar, Eubert and Ricardo. Why Good value: For the price paid for this move, I believe it was assessed right given the price of gasoline these days. It also saved us from the stress of loading, unloading and the 7-8 hours of travel time. Why Professional: The personnel involved in the loading and unloading were courteous, and very careful as if the items they were moving were their own, and treating them with tender loving care. Why Responsive: The truck was on time on the day of the move as well as the designated time to offload. Text messages were sent to my cell phone as to the status of the truck arrival. All questions were professionally responded to in a timely manner by the sales and customer service personnel. Any changes to the inventory were promptly processed. I had intended to post a nicer review when they returned some of my money but decided to wait until I found my jewelry. I had really hoped I just hadn't gotten to the box yet, but I went through the last one and no jewelry. When I found my large standing jewelry case empty I just thought things were so hectic maybe I packed them and forgot. But then I opened the middle drawer and found the ring drawer, which was the top, not middle drawer. It had slotted spots just for rings and somehow it was wedged into the wrong drawer. They should've put it back in the right slot. There were things in there from my great grandmother and my late fathers baby ring. They stole every single piece of jewelry I had. These people are straight up THIEVES. I'D GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THERE. BEWARE DISRESPECTFUL SCAM-ARTIST BUSINESSES. These guys will tear up your furniture, rip you off and take 21/2 hour lunches that they'll try to charge you for. These people are s*#^bags. ALSO, they are liars. This is our second time using Zapt movers and this time, for a much larger move. It was initially hard to get a quote, looks like their website might be down because I never got a response. But once I message them via Yelp/called them, the company was very responsive and would constantly reach out to make sure all details were in place prior to the move. The moving estimate was very accurate and gave us a good idea of how much work the process would take. The movers also arrived on prompt and on time, bringing along 3 wardrobe boxes and plenty of moving blankets. The movers were very good about making sure all large pieces of furniture were wrapped completely in plastic wrap and bulky items in blankets. Some of the movers were more motivated than others, we did suspect that 2 of our 3 movers were taking a little longer than necessary to wrap the furniture in plastic wrap, especially when they were working in rooms where we weren't around to supervise. But they all eventually made up for it when we made it to our new destination, very quick and efficient to move everything out of the truck and into the house. We were particularly impressed when one of our couches couldn't fit up a narrow staircase so the movers ended up hoisting the entire couch over a 2nd floor patio. Without their help, we would've never been able to complete this move so thanks for the great service. Will most likely use it again. read more

Terrible Customer Service Our experience with this moving company was incredibly disappointing due to their lack of professionalism and poor customer service. Understaffed Moves Lead to Higher Costs: The movers themselves admitted that the home office consistently understaffs moves. Our apartment was 1,200 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths--an average-sized move--but the team was severely understaffed. Midway through, I had to step in to help pack and unpack because they were falling behind the already adjusted schedule. Misleading Practices About Supplies: The movers requested additional boxes from the home office that were never delivered. They urged us to buy extra boxes ourselves, assuring us we would be refunded. However, we were not refunded, despite their promise. Rude and Unhelpful Customer Service: When we contacted Fabio in customer service to address the refund issue, his response was shockingly rude and unprofessional. While we understand that problems can arise during a move, the way a company handles those issues is what sets them apart. Unfortunately, this company failed miserably in that regard. I was recommended to Zapt by a friend of mine and let me tell you right now, I'm beyond happy with the service they provided. I moved out of a studio apartment in Oakland CA and into a 1Bdrm apartment in Las Vegas NV and what I thought would be the hardest part of the process turned out to be simple, affordable and so convenient, thanks to the Zapt movers. I couldn't be happier that I chose to use Zapt for my first move out of state. The company is upfront, transparent and punctual. There were absolutely no surprises along the way. The movers showed up exactly when expected, wrapped and loaded everything on their truck with care and only charged me what was already agreed upon. The next day they showed up at my destination, exactly when scheduled, with all my possessions undamaged and they moved everything in with care, set up a few items for me, removed all trash/moving equipment and again, only charged what was already discussed. As some who struggles with anxiety and overthinking, letting Zapt handle the most stressful part of the moving process was such a huge relief and fairly priced for the quality/amount of work they did. I used Zapt in November of 2019 to move from Pleasant Hill to San Leandro. Their crew moved wrapped everything in shrink wrap and were very careful with our possessions. It was the best move I ever had. In December we were moving out of California to Nevada, so I called Zapt. They informed me that they did not do long distance moves. I understood, but was disappointed, as most of the large moving companies had many poor reviews. After trying to find a reliable moving company, Alessandra from Zapt called me and told me they could now do long distance moves! That was it. We negotiated a price. They did not require a deposit (most of the large companies wanted up to 80% of the payment before anything was put the truck). We scheduled the move, the 4 man crew showed up at 9am and loaded our stuff. We than all drove to the destination (550 miles). Their crew showed up at 9am the next day and delivered all of our stuff, took all of the shrink wrap off, assembled the beds and were on their way. Zapt is without a doubt the most professional, polite, careful moving company I have ever worked with. I would give 10 stars to these guys!! read more

This is my second time using this company and they did not disappoint. I like that they get the job done quickly and don't stall to reach a certain amount of hours to get further pay. They are very very thorough and have a great attitude while doing the job. They are careful handling your stuff, they wrap your big items so they don't get dirty or scratched during transport. My daughter planned to hand carry items and before you know that they even had wrapped those items and packed it right on up. I like how they will disassemble whatever needs to be disassembled and put it back up the right way and not half way. I liked that the company did not charge me more when I first during my quote told them I would have 15-20 boxes and then had to update them I had 50-55. I also liked that when it didn't take all the hours the company estimated my quoted amount ended up costing less because less time was needed. I moved from one side of SF to another with Zapt Movers and am very happy with the experience! Zapt Movers was recommended by a coworker. I submitted a request for a quote and got a response in less than 24 hours. I also requested quotes from other moving companies (including the one I used for my last move) to compare prices. Zapt Movers's quote was pretty comparable to most of the other quotes I received but what stood out about Zapt was the quality of their communication. They were very responsive, friendly and transparent throughout the process. In all of my communication with them (email, phone and in person on moving day), they were so friendly and accommodating. They also checked in with me frequently, which was helpful because I was juggling a lot of things during the time of my move. I felt very taken care of. My movers got everything done much faster than the estimated time used in the quote and were careful with everything. I would definitely hire them again if/when I move again! read more

Moving is always stressful, but Zapt really made the process easy. Customer service was top notch--I had multiple people check in with me before the move to make sure that all of my needs would be met and that I would know what to expect. They also gave me an accurate quote. I moved from San Jose to SF, and the entire move took less than 3 hours (granted, I didn't have a lot of stuff). That being said, I wasn't as impressed by the movers. They were on time (scheduled between 8-9AM and arrived at 8:10) and were efficient, but they didn't bring any tools even though assembly/disassembly were included in my quote. I had also communicated that my bed would most likely have to be disassembled to go up the stairs. They got gas during my move, which I don't think should be included in the moving time, especially when when each minute = $$$. And they also moved my bed, unwrapped, along the floor/stairs of my apartment building, which is unsanitary and could damage the furniture. read more

I booked the movers before I actually found a place to live, but they were very willing to accommodate the minor changes I needed to make and honored the original quote. On the day of the move, the huge truck arrived as scheduled. The team of three...Dennis, Esteban, and one other guy...were entirely professional and fast...and I might add friendly and fun. It was obvious they enjoyed what they were doing. They carefully wrapped everything...not just the pieces of furniture that I was especially concerned about...but everything. The move was from the Santa Cruz mountains to Eureka. They arrived at the house in Eureka the next day and unloaded everything with the same amount of care and professionalism...nary a scratch on any of the furniture or artwork. I had been anxious about the move...I had never moved long distance before...but Zapt Movers, especially Paulo and the movers, made the experience easy. It was worth every penny.
