THIS ZARA IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. The managers are extremely rude, which reflects on the staff as well. Is it just me or does everyone here also hate their jobs? I went to exchange an item I bought online and was told I couldn't do so and that I would need to do the return separately from the exchange. Sorry but it makes no sense. I was trying to reach for an item on the rack and was told very rudely by a worker to move aside so they could arrange the rack. Yikes!! At 7:50 pm on a Tuesday night with a 9 pm closing time, all of the fitting rooms are closed. When I asked what time the fitting rooms close, the person in the fitting room said, "I don't know. Whenever we want." and was obviously irritated that I was even asking her. read more

I felt the diversity here. It seems like management is involved with, and committed to, diversity at this location. Seeing staff members of different age, gender, or ethnicities made me happy to think we are on a better path to promote inclusion for all customers and future staff members. Wow! This place has the rudest employees. Trying something on in the dressing room and when I went to return the clothes to the lady working in the changing rooms she snatched the clothes out of my hand and rolled her eyes I mean yikes!! A week later I came to return some jeans I bought with my receipt and they told me that it was not the correct receipt, that was the only item I bought so I said someone probably messed up in the register. The manager said oh we can give you the difference because you don't have your receipt. I said that is the receipt! only to find out that someone on the register put in the wrong information when I bought it. Got a blouse for a gift. No receipt, the girl at the desk had said can only Exchange for the same item! Ridiculous, right? She went to ask manager if ok. Was told it can only done if the same price!. Went around the store, looking for an item that can be washed and dried, 99 % of clothes cannot use washer! Took one blouse that was 9 cents lower and was told again Cannot do exchange it has to be same price or higher! All This after falling in line for half an hour a second time! This is by far the worst managed ZARA in the South Bay. It was unfortunate to see the staff here could not assist us with a return, which we returned under the 30 days, with all the tags and receipts! The manager was absolutely USELESS with providing her staff assistance discussing the problem, nor did she try to explain why we were unable to have our item returned. Regardless, tqo trest customers so poorly and degrading is an embarrassment for the company as a whole. This woman should give her staff more support and hear the customers at least finish a sentence before walking away. read more

I cannot give them a complete five because of my personal transaction. Aside from my personal transaction I have to keep in mind that it's a Christmas season therefore it is really busy very chaotic and customers can be very rude and obnoxious. Therefore I understand things might not be in their place there's 30 people shopping and one cashier. There's about six or seven associates walking around putting things back as fast as they can trying to keep the store organized but one cashier seems a little illogical for Christmas return. Well as I walk in the store I find the most perfect gift for my husband in a rack of jacket it is a jacket the rack is all jackets and it has a sign saying $99.99. Terrible of me I do not question it I just take it to the cashier wait in line 30 minutes expecting to pay that price for the jacket. When I get scanned the jacket is 149 with no tags on it and scanning it has a regular price. I questioned it and I was told by the manager sorry there's no tags on this take it or leave it it's regular price. Well it is what I wanted therefore I took it and I am satisfied with the price and the quality but the fact that no tag on it it's where the jackets are at and all the jackets different styles say 99.99 just upset me a little bit but I think I might be iogical thinking I'm at a discount store or something but anyways. read more

I frequent this store a few times a month and each time have been less then impressed with the customer service. I get the impression that the store does good business so there is no need for any type of customer service. Today while my daughter was making a purchase and I stood in line with her for 20 minutes while one of the cashiers struggled to do a return , he kept telling the other cashiers he needed help because he wasn't trained-the other two cashiers just laughed saying they weren't the ones that trained him. I went into Zara today to buy two T-shirts similar to one that I had already. There was one sales person on the floor who was helpful. When it came time to pay I got in line behind one other woman. There was one cashier who was helping a person return something. It took a very long time. I walked up to her and very nicely asked if there was anyone else that could help. She interrupted me claiming you'll be the next purchase. When it was my turn, after the person in front of me was taken care of (still only one cashier), I was not greeted by the cashier. I did ask her "and how's your day?" Her mumbled mumbled "fine". When she had finished ringing me up, she handed me my bag. I was waiting for her to say thank you or something. So I said thank you to her. Yeah with her response. I have to wonder if Management is training people at all. And if they condone that sort of "customer service". My feeling is if you hate your job that much, you need to find another job. read more

Tonight I walked up to the dressing room with my daughter in her stroller and before I even said anything this guy said "the big room is being used but you can go to kids or mens" and I was like "oh ok I'll just wait for it then" and he goes "no I mean we're not using it....but you can go to kids or mens" so I said "oh ok are there big rooms in kids and mens?" And he goes "FOR THE THIRD TIME, you can go to kids or mens..." and I said "well that's rude..." and he was like "well I've said it 3 times now" and I said "what's your name?" He said his name was Alex. He was wearing a white shirt and black pants. He was also texting on his phone the whole time. I buy from this Zara regularly. I've never had any problems. HOWEVER! Today I came to pick up my order from the men's section at around 2:50. No workers. We look around for a while still no one. Finally a lady comes up and we didn't realize she worked there because she's wearing clothes like she just got up from bed. Her hair is messy, her clothes look like pajamas. She does not look like a Zara worker. Her attitude is even worse. I can't hear what she's saying. She's lazy she's putting her head on her hand. Terrible service. No thank you at all. If you don't want to work, DONT!! Go get a job at McDonalds. Zara is not the place for you. Zara better fix their workers because I don't want to buy my clothes from a lousy store with lousy workers. This place is always low on cashiers, no matter what day you come, there will be long lines for purchases and returns. There will be employees walking around doing other things but literally 1-2 cashiers when there are 15 people in line. This store definitely needs better management. read more

I've been in retail for 17 years and I've never treated anyone like that specially in front of people. I was spending minimum $200 a month just in that store. What a shame. I had a horrible experience at Zara. I was returning 3 shirts which fit poorly. It was the first time that I recall ever having fit issues with a shirt. They did not have any good product to exchange it for. I had a receipt within 30 days and they could not refund me the money because my original credit card was no longer active due to fraud. I always love getting clothes from Zara as they are very stylish and have that European vibe to it - really chic. I have found that other Zara locations have better managed staff than this location though and hence the stars. We stood in line in the men's section for almost 20 minutes with only one counter open and a huge line forming behind us . The store manager is supposed to make sure that there isn't only one counter open when there are like 10 people standing in line and some of them were returns and that was taking even longer to process. The lady who helped us was very prompt , so I really appreciate that. I hope that they have better management of counters in future specially during the holidays when you are expecting to have more traffic. read more

I love Zara, but the customer service at this Torrance store is horrible. I had a pair of boys jeans I ordered online that I wanted to exchange for a different color. I made it incredibly clear to the incompetent sales associate that I did not want to return them, just an even exchange. Well she went ahead and returned them anyway, and since I had bought them with a gift card, could not take the other color I wanted. They told me I had to wait until I was emailed the refund on an electronic gift card. I asked them to call customer service to help, as the whole experience was just becoming a giant waste of time. I was physically standing in front of them, unable to take either pair of pants. Lisena, the manager on, just said "mistakes happen." Went in early on Sunday morning 10/23/16 at around 11:15am. Two cashiers working. Both were young asians, one female and one male. I was being rung up by the guy, and he was great! Really friendly and nice. While he was ringing me up, the girl cashier was doing something at her register. She clearly had a runny nose and was all sniffly. Not only was she standing there trying to control her sniffles, at one point she wiped her nose with her hand and continued to type along. YUCK. And then my guy cashier needed change from her register, so she gave him change with her germ-filled hand. And then that change was given to me. This ZARA doesn't sell clothes that are displayed on manikins. I really wanted this jacket in XS, but I didn't find any on the floor. I had 2 different employees check their inventory twice and they said they don't have ANY. They usually have manikins wear the smallest available on the floor so I checked it again myself. Sure enough it was XS. I grab the jacket and took it to cashier. Now, the cashier had to call the manager for approval. The manager showed up and took the jacket from me. I had no clue what he had to do, but he came back after 5 minutes and saying "WE DON'T SELL OUR MERCHANDISE THAT'S ON MANIKINS. SINCE YOU TOOK IT OFF ALREADY, I WILL MAKE AN EXCEPTION AND SELL IT THIS TIME." I felt like I violated law. They made me feel like I did something terrible. read more
