Zaucer wins again! We did four personal pizzas, cheesy bread and meatballs to feed three adults and two kids. Plenty of food and enough for lunch for two of us tomorrow! Today we ordered: Chickenator (my oldest kiddo loved it), Ming the Merciless (jalapenos were amazing), Black Hole (youngest kiddo was happy) and a Moons of Jupiter. All were good, I think the Ming was the best :) . I wanted one crowler but they let me sample the hard ciders and I couldn't choose, so I walked away with two crowlers of excellent cider. My husband and I give this awesome establishment a solid 5 out of 5 stars!! EXCELLENT and unique pizzas, fabulous atmosphere - funky and unique spacey retro-theme without being kitschy - and exceptional service. There are unique & thoughtful touches like a beer canner that fills their 32 oz cans with the excellent selection of artisanal brews, free arcade games, and a Jones soda dispenser with a number of delicious options. I wish this company would open a spot closer to where we live (Anacortes) so that we could eat Zaucer pizza more regularly - we are BIG FANS and will return whenever we're down south! If you're going to be drinking at Black Raven Brewery, I highly recommend grabbing some pizza at Flying Saucer before you do. It's right across the street from the Black Raven, so I avoid the delivery fee and tip of having it delivered by picking it up on my way in. I always order the Spud'nik pizza which has a ranch base, bacon, potatoes (I believe their called Jo Jo's since they're the thicker type of French fry) and scallions. I usually don't like ranch or fries on my pizza, but this thing rocks! I've had a few other types of pizza from Flying Saucer, but always come back to the Spudnik. They also serve good beer there if you want to stay, but I highly recommend taking it to go and finishing it at Black Raven! read more

The personal pizzas are freshly made with plenty of cheese and toppings. I loved the Area 51 pizza with tomatoes and artichokes. My husband had a sausage pizza and enjoyed it. This place is located in a little industrial park and wouldn't really be a place to "hang out," although the science-fiction posters and decor are somewhat interesting. This is an outstanding little local concept. Similar to Mod Pizza but much better flavor- and service-wise, they do personal-sized custom pizzas here with unique flavor combinations at decent prices. The theme is kitschy mid-century sci-fi and UFOs, kind of fun without being more about the concept than the product. It is family-friendly, but not Chucky Cheese by any stretch. There is limited beer and wine, and it's mostly local and not bad. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. I like that this place is responsive to its community, offering specials and asking for suggestions for new pies. They run daily specials, advertised on a sandwich board at the entrance. Missing star for lack of table service, which requires you to stand in line again if you want another beer, and for some interior finishes and decorations in need of repair. Recommended overall, as a respectable alternative to big, bland chain-store pizza, with fun flavors, scrappy entrepreneurial spirit and good value! read more

Ordered a medium size chickenator pizza, it was so delicious! Fresh mozzarella with bacon and chicken! The crust had the right crunch to it! They also serve cold beer on tap and pasta and wings! The order was placed at 4:27 PM (on a Sunday evening). The estimated delivery time was between 5:20 PM and 5:30 PM. The actual delivery time was 5:02 PM. This was well before the estimated time and at 35 minutes was a speedy delivery time. The delivery person was very professional and polite. The food ranged from average to extremely good. Cheesy Sauce Bread (FSP's famous crust baked with garlic butter and topped with cheese and Italian spices) - Unfortunately, this really wasn't anything special. It was rather bland and didn't really rate beyond the cheese bread one would get from a large pizza chain. It was also slightly overcooked. The cheese had a burnt taint to the flavour. This fun little restaurant is the real-life Pizza Planet from Toy Story! All their decor is space/sci-fi related and they always play old sci-fi movies on their screens. For all you geeks out there, you'll enjoy the astronomy/sci-fi pizza names at this restaurant too. Flying Saucer has some solid pizzas. They will bake the pizza on demand so you'll always have fresh ones when you order. The pizza isn't greasy and are generously topped with various meats and veggies. I personally really like the Big Bang Pizza (the "supreme") and the Sputnik Pizza which has potato wedges on top. It sounds a bit bizarre at first but IT WORKS! Old school arcade games, classic sci fi movie posters, screens playing scenes and trailers for beloved classic sci fi fantasy movies! It would be a great place to have a party. Personal pizzas are so in. No one can complain what you get on yours when you're the only one who's going to eat it. I love it! This place is tucked in a little strip mall. The inside is decorated like crazy, with alien/UFO theme. It would be a fun place to take a young family. However, in my case, I got some take-out. They had my order ready and even gave me a little green take-away bag because I had four items. It was so cute and my wife loved it - just a really cool touch. The Pizzas were crispy on the edges and used quality ingredients. What more can you ask for? We were all satisfied. Getting 'astro-knots' was a little too much for us this time. They were tasty though - they're the crispy/long kind that can be dipped more than once. Overall, it was great, and we'll definitely be back. Decent drink selection (although we are doing takeout lately). Our "go to" pizza is "Ming the Merciless" Zaucer Red Sauce Whole Milk Mozzarella Jalapeno Peppers Italian Sausage Fresh Mushrooms Pepperoni Roasted Garlic Spicy although we add red peppers anyway.
