Zaxby's is a solid chicken joint. I really only go there for the salads. I enjoy the Fried Chicken Cobb with Honey Mustard. Delicious and filling. Their sandwiches look good so maybe one day I will try one! The service isn't always the most friendly but what can you expect from a fast food place? This particular location is located right off of 37 and is easy to get in and out of. The restaurant is clean and bright as are the restrooms. They also have one of those freestyle Coke machines. I went to this location yesterday for the first time. I've been to Zaxby's in the South a few times. I've always loved their food, so I had high expectations going in. I was not disappointed. I had the wings and things. It was so delicious. The chicken strips was crispy, the wings were hot enough, the fries were great, and the Zax sauce was tasty. The service was excellent. Called ahead a wing order. When I arrived, they had not even put it in the computer. As I waited, I observed the cook in the back blow his nose really good. He was wearing his blue cooking gloves. He threw his tissue away then grabbed the loaf of bread and continued cooking on the griddle, touching and stacking food with the same filthy gloves. I frequent this place pretty often. It's very close to my home and the service is always good for drive thru food. My taste is pretty different when it comes to food and finding a good quality meal in a drive thru is simply that... RARE. I typically order the big Zax sack which is 3 tenders, fries, and garlic bread. It's always enough to fill me up. It's just enough. However, my husband is more of a fan of the wings and things meal. I understand that Zaxby's is new to Indiana, so in looking at some of the reviews I think maybe there's a little Midwestern confusion going on. While Zaxby's has a pretty diverse menu for a quick service food chain, it's all about the chicken tenders. The only two thing I've ever ordered have been the Zax Snack (3 chicken tenders/fries/Texas toast) or chicken finger plate (more chicken tenders, fries/slaw/Texas toast). This was in line with every other location I've visited - good quick service, great chicken tenders and delicious sauce, and very good fries. It's not quite as consistent in service and quality as Chick-Fil-A, but it's pretty darn close, and I only wish it was a little closer to me. read more

Chicken makes the world go round!!! I'm so serious about my chicken and the quality of chicken at Zaxbys is ahhhh-mazing! I got the chicken finger sandwich and it was super tender and crispy. You can literally taste the excellence. I loved the special Zaxbys sauce also (a must have)! And the fries were also wonderful. I especially enjoyed the great customer service. They were professional, quick and polite. I wish I could go more often but the closest one to me is this location which is about a 25 minute drive from my place. I only go when I'm already in the area... But if I were to just go to satisfy a craving, it would be well worth the time (and gas money). read more

My husband and I really enjoy Zaxby's and it's a really nice change to have something in the area that is different from all the normal restaurants we have around. The restaurant is always really clean and the staff is very nice. The last couple times we've went through the drive through my husbands order was incorrect but it wasn't a deal breaker. I love the Zax sauce it's good on the chicken and the fries. We have quit going to KFC all together and Zaxby's is now our go too! read more

This last visit to this location was very unpleasant. When you spend $35 on wings and a salad you'd at least expect the food quality to be better. I got a mix of boneless and bone in. The flavor was good but the bone in chicken was too hard to bite into. They may have overcooked it or something. In addition, the size of the boneless were so tine my husband and Laughed out loud! The onion rings which are normally very tasty, were over cooked. But the no celery and no ranch for the wings were the icing on the cake. What a disappointment from a food standpoint. The service was quick and friendly however the food was terrible. Not to mention they were out of ice and the tables had not been wiped down. It was 2PM. I got the nibblers with fries. The bun was very burnt so it did not help the taste at all. I was asked if I wanted Zaxby sauce. Sure well the pea size drop I got gave me no indication of what it actually tasted like. The rest of the food, chicken and fries were loaded with salt. Excellent food. I had the Nibbler's meal when I went with my friends, and it was excellent. The chicken was flavorful and just salty enough, the fries were delicious, and the Zax sauce was a refreshing addition. My friends and I were there after school one day, and the place was busy. However, the cashiers and cooks maintained an upbeat and respectful attitude. I was impressed; least of all because it seemed like a stressful situation. These were people who had been representing the Zaxby's brand for a short amount of time, and they made me want to come back. TIP: ask for extra Zax sauce to dip your fries in! I just discovered it within the last month due to my daughter visiting with me from Atlanta. Apparently, the chain is there I absolutely love the fried chicken Cobb Salad. The price is comparable to fast food burgers etc. I did try the tender sandwich and fries once. The fries are delicious and I am not a fry lover but I've eaten the salad 5 times this week. Ask for their rewards card so your 8th entree is free. I passed by it because I thought it was a sit down only restaurant but when my daughter visited, I discovered they had a drive through which is super quick and team is very professional. This place was horrible and a major rip-off! The boneless wings were smaller than popcorn chicken. They were 1/2 inch tiny balls of batter. My son had an order of 10 and they couldn't have been more than a total of 2 ozs of chicken. I had ten regular wings which were slightly better. We are not big eaters and both left hungry. I won't be back, but I'm fairly sure it won't be in business very long anyway. $23 for 20 wings, 1 order of fries and two sodas. I must say overall this is probably the best experience I've ever had visiting zaxbys. It wasn't the food that did it, it was the generous customer hospitality by the wonderful Emma M. From the second I walked up to the register I was greeted with a enthusiastic "WELCOME TO ZAXBYS". She was very outgoing and full of charisma. If I was to make tutorial video on how to be a great cashier i would def use her as an example. Not only was she a great cashier, she made an amazing birthday cake milkshake. The Cajun Chicken something or other sandwich was really good. High quality chicken, good bun etc... But the mushrooms... First of all for $3.29.. the amount you get are a total joke. I thought they messed up and went back through the drive through (total pain in the butt), but was assured that was the right amount. Equivalent amount to that of a happy meal sized fry... $3.29... Plus, the were poorly fried, cold, mushroom slices. How are you supposed to dip that into anything? Now... Props to the manager. She gave me more without being asked. Ends up they're gross anyway so more grossness doesn't do me much good. But I appreciate the awareness and effort. I'll go back for the chicken one more time and try something else. read more

I really like Zaxby's chicken fingers and this location is the only one close enough to me to patronize but that may be over! I think it is utterly ridiculous and unprofessional to run out of food and drink especially if the restaurant is not closed. There needs to be better planning and better inventory management by those that run the location. As a paying customer I should not be limited on what I would like and then there is no customer service to rectify the situation and appease my dissatisfaction. Running out of beverage options and out of Texas toast which is a part of almost ALL meals at the restaurant is appalling. Then when I asked what substitution can be made...nothing. No discount on the meal though I didn't receive all I was due then no effort to make the situation better. The fact of the issue was bad enough but the customer service or lack there of made it worse!
