If this is the standard then this isn't worth going to. Chicken was great but the toast wasn't even toast. Just bread. Feel like this has to be better.

Very first in a Zaxby's place. The place is country, rustic and quite dim for my liking. Had a salad with chicken and hubby had the Signature Club sandwich. Loved the salad; Chicken was good: moist, tender & tasty.

In the battle between Zaxby's and Chi-Fil-A it's hard to say who would come out the winner. I do hope to keep trying to figure it out, with lots and lots of testing. Zaxby's really does have some great Chicken, with lots of nice chicken related meal items. You can get your chicken on bread, or your chicken with bread, or your chicken with chicken.. and Zalads I guess. There are only three shake choices (Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate), but they are quite good. If you are looking for a fast food Chicken option, check it out.

The fries were good (but I'm not much of a fan of crinkle cut fries so I'm not going to rave about Zaxby's fries).

Here's the thing about traveling with someone you've known for a long time and who's known you a…read morelong time; they can tell you when you fall into bad habits. One of the worst habits I have is I have pretty noticeable FOMO when it comes to bbq joints. After a fairly sizable meal of hot chicken and sides, and after a good-sized concrete mixer after, I should've taken it easy with a smaller dinner. I should've followed Toby's example and gotten that fried bologna sandwich here I wanted to try. Instead, my lizard brain kicked in and I went after the spare ribs and smoked chicken that I normally would've gotten had it been any other day. I just can't see myself going to a place known for whole hog bbq and opting for a sandwich. It's like traveling with a beautiful girl who's into you and choosing to just settle for walks to first. Nobody has that kind of restraint. Ribs are just too good. And Martin's ribs, like the other greats like Joe's KC, Pappy's, Montgomery Inn, and Fat Bob's is not something you give up on once you're there. And what's worse is that Martin's actually gave me 7 ribs with the combo I ordered. Add to that the smoked 1/4 chicken, the 3 bread slices, the kickass beans, and a decent mac n' cheese and you have a recipe for busting a gut in trying to eat most of your plate. The service was good, even if they didn't check on me as much as I would've liked. When I asked for refills and a box for the table, they were prompt and courteous about it. That's what matters. Not only that they offered the refills for the road like a good restaurant does so you can tell they care about treating their customers well in other ways. The ambiance was good. It definitely made me want to sit in there again. And maybe this time I get the fried bologna instead and Toby gets the heavier plate and sighs incredulously all night about how she's a dead woman due to gluttony. I don't know--I don't think it's a true bbq feast for the ages until someone one complains they might die happy due to excessive barbecue.

When they first opened, it was so sleek and shiny - a long way from what it is today! We ate there last Sunday the 19th of April. There is duct tape EVERYWHERE trying to hold the once glossy, once white, once clean laminate in place. The booth we sat in (also cushion ripped and worn) had no less than 6 strips of duct tape holding it together. If you look around the dining room, it is on most of the joints, keeping them together. It is als VERY junky and cluttered. Went to the bathroom (another area that needs a lot of work) and there are rolling storage cabinets lining the hall making it very claustrophobic. On the way back to the table I looked behind the bar - a hodge podge of tools and caulk guns and whatever else I do not know piled in the floor. It was a mess. Corners and baseboards, chair legs and booth bases were just - dirty. Years of residue built up. Probably won't eat inside ever again, it is just so depressing, especially after knowing what it once was. We were there at prime lunch time after church and there were only three tables seated and a couple of to go customers.

They gave us our own little room and even helped hang the decorations. The food tasted great. My order was wrong, but the Spring salad was similar enough to the Our Signature salad that it didn't really matter. The menu is pretty extensive: appetizers of all kinds, salads, bowls, soups, burgers, wraps, pizza, even pan-fried Brussels sprouts! Service was decently fast for a party our size. One guest had to remind the waitstaff about his meal, but after that, it was brought out momentarily. Price is as to be expected at this type of restaurant, and we had a 20 percent gratuity automatically added due to our party size. Atmosphere was pleasant with great pop music. Staff happily honored our request to turn the TVs to the Atlanta Braves game.

French Onion soup (cup) - the smallest cup of soup I have ever seen, but my daughter found it lacked the deep, rich, meaty flavor synonymous with French Onion soup and left half of it. Fish tacos - fish to tortilla ratio was on point. The fish tacos were well dressed and the cabbage add a nice crunch. This entree was 10x better than those starters. Bam Bam shrimp - had some crispy texture even though covered in the sauce. It was a solid dish and everyone finished it off. Sides- onion rings and fries. These were standard fare. Shrimp scampi flatbread - did not come out hot and quite flabby. We decided the kitchen was having a bad night. The cocktails were fine, so the bartender was having a better night. The service was quite slow but it was a busy night, so understandable as my daughter and I both worked as servers while in college. There is many parking opportunities here as this restaurant is surrounded by other retail stores and restaurants. I included the receipt in my pictures because I want you to know about the "hospitality fee". I find this disturbing practice is increasing. In my opinion, this practice is deceptive. It makes me believe the owners or corporate office is not paying their employees what they are worth. As a former waitress during my younger years, this will only make patrons reduce the waitresses tip if they are not bold enough to have it removed. I did not see this at the time we were finishing up as we were talking and just trying to get out of the restaurant. I did not see it listed on the menu either, although most restaurants that partake in this deception has it listed in very small print somewhere on the menu. I just avoid these restaurants in Vegas - but never thought Mt. Juliet restaurants would adapt such a practice. Lesson learned.
