Bathroom floors were so sticky, my flip flop actually came off. My chicken wasn't great. Parts were mostly breading and just mediocre warm. Multiple tables were sticky as well. So much so that picking up my purse from one of the tables it made a ripping sound. The tray my food was served on had sauce on it when I got it. Before I opened my sauces. My daughter and son-in-law wanted a quick lunch and this was their suggestion as it was close to home. First thing you notice when you walk in is the smell of old grease. It's not necessarily a terrible smell, but it certainly indicates to me that they need to change out their grease more often and was hoping it wouldn't make the food taste off. Second was the young lady behind the counter. She appeared to be doing more than her fair share of the work. She was packing up orders in bags, taking orders and money, delivering to the cars outside. All while we saw several other employees standing around and chatting. That's not a fair distribution of work and she was having a hard time trying not to have a line at the cash register. Food was so-so. Chicken was stringy, fries were limp. I didn't care for the sauce I was given (not asked what kind and I didn't know to ask), but when I went up to ask for something different I was told there was a $.25 charge for extra sauce. I get it if folks want a ton of sauce, but I wasn't asked what sauce I wanted in the first place. Live and learn. My son-in-law had Texas Toast, and he said it was cooked nicely. We came for the chicken though and not the bread. As we were sitting there the young lady who had taken our order was out cleaning tables and emptying trash cans. We asked her name, and it was Rachel. We made a point of telling her she was a hard worker and obviously was an asset to the place. She was really tickled that someone had noticed. My wife and I love Zaxby's Zalads. The Cobb is our favorite. The employees are always very nice and helpful. There is no shortage of condiments, utensils, and napkins. The bowls are great too. Drive thru is blah. Food was disgusting and soggy when I finally got my food and got home. Unless you order one item be prepared to wait. Big Zax SnackVisited from outta town and stopped at zaxbys via drive Thru for the 1st time today ! Immediately I looked at the menu and wasn't sure what to get it... it was so many great options. Zymara I believe that's how u spell it she was the one that took my order and she helped me decide on what to get for my family and I. She explained everything throughly & repeated my order back to me to make sure nothing was forgotten which I appreciated because I was leaving Jacksonville. Coming from out of state I really appreciated the friendly customer service & just the help with deciding what to get. My food was hot and ready ! Fresh and great tasting , order was correct & most of all I ate all my food because it was cooked to protection. I wanted to take time out to shout out this zaxbys because now I will be visiting again whenever I visit zaxbys! & shout outs to Zymara for being professional, helpfull & most of all giving amazing customer service. To start with I really enjoy the tongue torch flavor and this was a fast stop that I would make maybe once a month. It has been a while since I had last been and it will likely be even longer till my next visit. I went during lunch and it was only somewhat busy and not slammed. The customer service was friendly and she did a good job. Issue being that the food quality seems to have degraded. The tenders seemed smaller and somewhat stiff despite being hot like they just got done being cooked. Plus it seems that the price has gone up by a size-able margin. I understand and appreciate increasing prices to match increased costs but it seems that the increase cost was met with decreased food quality. This once nice fast-ish food seems to have fallen into mediocrity with the rest. Next time I get the craving I will likely go to Publix or Wingstop. read more

I very rarely write reviews for any kind of chain because let's be honest, they're all kind of the same. My reason for this review is not so much about the food which is mediocre at best but about the employees. They weren't necessarily busy when we got there and it's a good thing because the majority of the employees were too busy having their personal conversations to attend to their customers very much. There was however one young lady that was really doing a fantastic job. We saw her taking orders running orders to the cars going into the back changing the trash cleaning bathrooms basically doing the job of every single person in that store all by her self. Not only was she doing these things that probably weren't necessarily her assigned duties she did them with a smile on her face and a fantastic attitude. I was really quite impressed with this young lady. I really wish I could remember her name but I am absolutely terrible with names but I know that she was about to be promoted to some type of management position and that's probably one of the smartest decisions they've ever made. read more

The food was no different than any other location. It took several minutes to be able to order as a manager was prioritizing mobile orders and another placing sheets of cookies into bags. We were ignored while waiting to ask for a drink to be filled as the station was empty. By far, the worst was the toleration by the staff of allowing 8-10 teenagers sit on top of the tables and wall dividers throughout the restaurant making it uncomfortable to walk the restaurant. I always order the Chicken Tender combo with extra Zax Sauce and a half Fruit Punch Hi-C and half lemonade. Too bad they don't have grape drank lol. Soggy and wrinkled buns, no sauce...hardly, and one small wrinkled and shriveled piece of lettuce....it was hardly worth 7-8 bucks.....you'd think you could get a nice freakin piece of lettuce "at least!!!"
