Dirty building, old food, messed up our order, bad service too. This is the worst Zaxbys I've ever been to

We were in Savannah for fall break and I needed a quick, hot lunch for my children before we caught a movie. This Zaxby's is in a shared parking lot with the theatre so it was an easy option. The food seemed freshly made. However, the outside of their boxes were covered in greasiness and there were NO napkins included in the bags. It's been roughly 12 years since I last consumed Zaxby's so I was pretty darn excited to have it again. It was around 11AM on a Friday when I saw that sign in the sky and knew I had to pull in and enjoy Zaxby's once again. I remember this place having great pricing and good quantities during my last visit and it's hard for me to say I felt the same thing this time around. I ended up ordering the "wings and things" combo which consists of chicken strips, chicken wings, French fries, a drink, and toast. Don't get me wrong, it was a good amount of food and I definitely left full, but at almost $17 for the "sauced" version is extremely high for any fast food establishment. Let's talk about the food though. Toast- thumbs up for soft and flavourful toast, something I'll never pass on. French fries- pretty standard crinkle cut fries, but overall they were solid. Chicken Strips- so, I was given both chicken options with the sauce on the side and I'm not sure if that was the right call or not. The chicken fingers themselves tasted pretty good, but definitely to match up to Raising Canes in the taste department. Chicken wings- come on guys, maybe get some chicken wings with actual meat on the bones. The wings were small and overcooked, definitely not something I would order again in the future. Overall, I've had Zaxby's on a pedestal for over a decade now and it's definitely been removed from that now. This place let me down with taste, quality, and price and even though I would give some of the sandwiches a shot, it's definitely never going to be my first choice. read more

I stopped here for a quick in restaurant lunch. My cashier was so sweet. My food was out quick, hot, and correct. Beatrice (my cashier) was just an absolute ray on sunshine. Best experience at a zaxby's ever. read more

I'm on a mission to try every southern fried chicken chain. Chicken tenders were pretty decent but fries were soggy. Had decent flavor they just sat too long. Wait was longer than expected. Wish they had biscuits but the Texas toast was pretty good. Sweet tea could have been sweeter in my opinion but maybe I'm just prediabetic idk. I was excited to try this place. I love chicken fingers and they look crispy, just the way I like them. I ordered a finger and wing meal. And my husband got a sandwich. It took 20 minutes for my food to come out. Then another 10 minutes for him. 30 minutes for fast food is way too long. The fingers were great. The wings were cold. I'd go to a Zaxby's again, but just get fingers. read more

This place has been going downhill since the month it opened, and now they're hitting rock bottom. My latest (and last) visit... Ordered in the app and went into the store. Confirmed with the desk person that I had an online order and gave my name. Got an "ok". Guess that was my clue to wait, so I did. I sat and waited and watched a kitchen dude come in from outside smoking, scratch his balls constantly while walking around the register area, and go right back to handling food. After 15 minutes of watching ball scratching and people continually getting their orders, I asked for an update on my order from the gal behind the counter I spoke to initially. "What your name?", name given, "you already got your order". I'd been sitting in front of her the entire time, only person waiting. I'm pretty sure she gave my order to some random dude that just walked in and right back out. She then asked whom I spoke with when I came in... Her. She denied this. She then said I'd picked up my order from her. I asked if she confirmed the name on the order when giving it away... "Ah deeed, and you disrespecting me". Mind that I was sitting in front of her the entire time. She never verified any name on the 4 orders handed off. She then said there were two orders for (my name). Great... Regardless of the fact that would be a one in a million chance, where's my order? She then says some more garbage about disrespect and flips back to me already picking up my order. I'm apparently a magician and made the food disappear into thin air in front of her, while not leaving my seat. I then asked for a refund, and the manager that processed it was cordial, and gave me the store manager's number. Denny, apparently the manager, was cordial as well, but I doubt anything came of it. I had to wait 10 extra minutes for my food to be paler than my skin. At this point, the staff just gave up ‍ The tenders are not tendering for $14. My toast is a piece of bread out the pack. I think I'm good on coming here again, love. Y'all take care. read more

5 stars for customer service. Tamara is an angel and helped a family in need as the store was closing. I had gotten in line at the drive thru at exactly 10:00pm when they close. It was one of those crazy days where you forget to eat because your so busy... They had already taken their last customer, but Tamara asked " what would you like to eat?" as I pulled in late to the side window. I'm from Chicago where we have no Zaxby's. My kids wanted to stop so we did and as far as fast food goes, I loved it!!! Unlike other similar restaurants I've been to, the chicken tenders were actually seasoned and the cole slaw was pretty good. The garlic bread was delicious and the sweet tea was very good. I am hereby a self proclaimed Zaxby's fan. read more

Came across this Zaxby's before opening day! They were having a family & friends day only but they let us in. I thought it was very nice of them especially since we overheard the manager telling the employees not to let people in without an invitation :) oops. Great food as always is the case with Zaxby's. Start out with the guy who took our order obviously didn't want to be here.... next, no ice, until someone finally came out with a bucket & filled the ice machine, then no cups for catsup, again a wait.... On to the dining room, many tables not wiped off ( picture of the reason for this on the review) floors sticky & unswept. Both restrooms needed attention as well. All of this adds up to poor management with poor employee training since there were 9 visible employees in the kitchen & 2 behind the counter. On a positive note, the food tasted good even though the sandwiches buns looked like they were run over. Not a good example of Zaxby's usual quality.... read more

ZERO seasoning on fries.... also didn't have any diet soda but I am just very disappointed with the lack of seasoning.

The food here is consistent with their other locations. The service is quick and accurate more often than not. Their Zensation Zalad is the bomb! I love the crunchy chicken on top of the fresh greens and the dressing is on point. This is my go to spot when I want a quick reliable meal. read more

So On 11-24-2018 I go to Zaxby's on Victory Dr. I get chicken fingers. They were pretty good. I ask for sweet and spicy sauce and honey mustard sauce. The clerk tell me it will be .75 cent more. I tell her fine, I don't care. So I get home and look into the bag and what do I get? You guess it the original Zaxby's sauce. Wow! read more

After a long day at work where I have to wear a mask the entire time due to the city-wide mandate in Savannah, I come to Zaxby's for a quick bite to eat. I am met with a Drive-Thru worker that is mask-less, as well as an entire crew (as far as I could see) that is mask-less or wearing their mask improperly, while preparing my food (EW!) I politely asked the Drive-thru worker if they were required to wear masks (as both my passenger and I are wearing masks), and she looks back at her coworkers, clearly annoyed, unsure. She has the audacity to look at me and say that it's not illegal to not wear a mask. The city-wide mandate that says it will fine people for refusing to wear a mask, argues otherwise. Honestly, I was concerned she was misinformed by a boss, but from her and her coworker's demeanor, I could tell they just plainly don't care about their customer's safety or comfort. It was to my knowledge that Zaxby's took COVID seriously. Even if they don't, all businesses in Savannah must abide by the mandate. I will not be coming back to this location, or to another Zaxby's, until I am reassured that these negligent workers will be handled. I left with my order, and I regret not asking for a refund, as I immediately trashed it. To me, this is a health code violation. For these workers to be mask-less in the middle of a pandemic is a problem. Their careless attitude suggests to me that it's unlikely they are cleaning regularly and taking all necessary precautions to avoid an outbreak in their store and to their customers. I didn't want to be a Karen so I didn't pitch a fit, but I felt immensely uncomfortable as soon as I pulled up to the drive-thru. This is a huge issue, and I hope everyone who reads this review before going to this location considers the risk they would be taking by eating here, as its the mask-less idiots preparing their food that are also walking around all over town without masks on or washing their hands, and spreading COVID. read more

waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes before getting to the speaker, i was very rudely rushed through my order, made it clear what i wanted and they still got my whole order wrong. i paid for a 5 piece and only got 3 pieces of chicken. you chose to work in fast food that is on you, do better. smh! read more

Zaxby's is normally my go to; however, the service I received today was below sub par. The workers forgot part of my order causing me to have to return and secondly forgot ALL of my sauce. Second rate service. read more
