I am VERY IMPRESSED! We were in the area and wanted something fast and healthy. We Yelped it (duh!) and Zoup! showed up! All I can say is yum!! First of all, free unlimited samples of soup. I tried the lobster bisque, the corn crab chowder, and the roast garlic chicken kale. They all were delicious. Since all the soups come with a loaf of french or multigrain bread, I opted for a loco burrito salad. Yeah, this salad was scrumptious! (romaine, grilled chicken, cheddar, pico de gallo, avocado, lime sauce, and tortilla strips) The dressing that came with it was a chipotle ranch dressing with a bite to it!! YUM! Get the pick two. Quiet little restaurant with a variety of soups big menu I work near here usually come evenings happy store employees always nice most times I'm giving this two stars because my last visit was quite upsetting the lady at the register was hitting and talking to herself and when I asked for clarification on what she asked me she yelled it back to me. The lady on the sandwich station had her headphones in and was inappropriate with staff. This only is like this when I come in the mornings. When I come in the evenings it's a calm environment nice music . We decided to try this on Valentine's Day only because we were in the area with our pups and looked across to see it. I had a sore throat and decided what better way to soothe it than with soup. I like that they greeted us upon entering and the cashier took the time to describe everything to us before we made a decision. They have unlimited tasting, so whatever soup you want to try they will give you a shot of it. I chose the broccoli cheese and a sandwich then also ordered the fire roasted tomato soup on the side. Once they plugged everything into the register it was over $30. I feel like it was a bit pricey for the amount we got. The side of soup was in a super small cup and wasn't really a lot. The bread was good and the sandwich was good. I just know I can go somewhere else when I am in the mood for broccoli cheese soup or tomato soup and get it cheaper and it will still taste good. This was the perfect spot to grub at for the first snow of the season! They had a huge selection of soup, salads and sandwiches. I tried the "Try Two!" deal and got the Singapore Squash soup and the Turkey Club sandwich. Squash soup isn't for everyone, but it is one of favorite soups! Perfectly creamy and had a little kick! I really enjoyed it. The Turkey Club typically comes toasted, as with many of their sandwiches, but I'm not a fan of toasted subs, so I opted out. The untoasted club sandwich still came on very fresh and soft bread and the filling was very generous! I usually enjoy my turkey sandwiches with some deli/spicy mustard, but they didn't have any mustard in the building at all... Which I thought was strange for a sandwich spot. My total was around $10.00 without a drink... Kinda pricy. Nonetheless, my meal was delish. If you love soup as much as I do, you will absolutely fall head over heels for Zoup! Their catchy sign and name caught my eye and as soon as I looked up what they were all about, I knew I had to get in there ASAP! One of my favorite things about Zoup is that they let you try any and as many soups as you want before choosing! They have a few standard offerings then rotate others in each day! I am estimating there to be about 8-10 different soups each day and they all look (and most likely taste) so delicious! I've tried a few but my favorite is the mushroom bisque! The chili is really amazing as well and I've taste tested a few others that would make a delish meal too but I'm simply hooked on their mushroom bisque which is the perfect blend of creamy yet rich! Another menu item that wins me over every single time is the ability to have your soup in the bread bowl! They have a few bread options but the olive oil is my favorite because it's absolutely amazing and perfectly fresh! I add this to all of my soups but will say that it's best with the chili or a similar soup with more consistency! Though it's great with the mushroom, I actually prefer the chili or a heavier option paired with the bread for eating once most of the soup has been eaten or absorbed! You also get the top of the bread to eat simply as it as boy oh boy, it tastes great! There really is no wrong way to soup though in my opinion especially if there's bread involved! Zoup really has a great idea and tasty products! I haven't tried their salads or sandwiches but I'm sure they are equally as good! There are some negatives here, like, the chili is more "sauce" / broth than fixins'. It didn't taste bad, just wasn't as hearty as I'd like. Since I was nearby, I decided to check this place out for lunch. Immediately, I was greeted by very friendly staff. The servicing, food, and price is very similar to Panera where you place your order (of either soup, salad, sandwich, or a combination) at the register. At first I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of soup options this place had to offer but you can always ask for a sample which I thought was pretty neat. Like I said, this place is very clean, reasonably priced and the service is very quick. The staff is extremely friendly as well and it felt genuine. My soup was yummy but simple. They also give three bread options for your soup side which is nice. Very good for a quick bite if you're on a tight schedule or you just want to grab something fast to eat !!! So Zoup! Recently opened here in the continually developing shopping center of Landstown Centre. I've tried every restaurant here except for Teriyaki Madness. Anyway, I'm pretty stoked to try this place out. I had a overall relaxing and enjoyable experience with all of the help of the amazing staff here. It's a fast causal restaurant, you order your food at the register and wait till your name gets called deal. You can sample all of the soups your heart desires. They even label the food preferences on the soups! Low-fat, dairy-free, vegetarian, spicy, gluten-free. I really enjoyed the savoriness of the Lobster Bisque. I made it a "Try Two Combo" with a half sandwich. I opted for the Maple Ham & Bacon sandwich bc I was in the mood for pork. My cashier Kaden told me that I ordered two of the most popular items. I asked if she could add some L&T to my wich. No charge :) and added a brownie for $2.10 bc why not. The soup comes with bread so I chose Sourdough...I later regretted my decision and should have gotten the French bread instead. My food came out in less then 3 mins. I take a gander at my meal and I understand why it was only $10. The sandwiches aren't much filled. You get one piece of each thing and that's about it. Despite the portions, I still enjoyed my meal. The atmosphere here is pleasant, relaxing, and clean . There's seating everywhere, fountain drinks, throwback music from the 80's-90's, bathrooms, kid's booster seats. Sign up for their emails! My only reasoning for the 4 stars is that instead of getting a piece of bread with my soup I would rather get chips or a fruit. I can't eat more bread if I'm already eating a sandwich. Doesn't even deserve a star... let's start with the fact this is an advertised soup place and only have 3 soups to offer, shoulda moved on right then and there. So we went with sandwiches incase the soups weren't hitting. BIG MISTAKE. If you want all bread extra oils and sauce with the thinnest slice of meat then by all means enjoy your dry bread. Both sandwiches went directly into the trash. Would upload a picture but the went right to the dumpster I was so disappointed. This is my 1st and only yelp review if that shows how bad their food was I had to come on here and make sure people don't order from this place. Heard about this place from a friend who said the menu looked good so I figured I'd give it a try. Not being a big soup person, my intention was to go for the sandwiches but after walking in that quickly changed. The employee manning the soup informed us that they encourage sampling so I indulged in tasting the burger soup and was instantly impressed. Zoup's soup is definitely flavorful and worth the prices. I saw my friend, J David H, have left a review for this place and I decided to try it out tonight. It's 30 degrees and chilly here in VB, I would love some soup! The place is easy to find across from Landstown Commons, and the parking lot is pretty easy to manage. Coming in, it looks like a burrito bar, with Panera like items. I went to the end of the counter, walking around some strangely placed trash cans. Then I discovered I was at the sampling side, and the trash was for all your little sample cups. I tried the chicken potpie, delicious. The broccoli and cheese was too strong with the cheddar. I even tried the rattlesnake one, which evidently also has rabbit in it... I wonder if the rattle snake ate the rabbit? Or is it just two meats that coincidentally go well together but happen to be predator and prey? I ended up going safe and delicious with the chicken potpie. I felt I was ready for the really big size bowl too. And oh, they have fun salads. So I chose the half Power Quinoa. I was kinda "meh" about getting my food served in throw away containers, since I was dining in. But, they evidently knew I ordered more than I needed, since I barely made it though the soup and took nearly the whole salad home. The presentation in the throw away containers was quite pretty! The chicken potpie was scrumptious, with tons of fresh tasting veggies in it like corn, carrots, lima beans, potato, and celery. They even serve it with some crumbly pie crust stuff on top. I thought it could have been kept hotter, but they either serve the soup at a ready-to-eat temp or it was just that cold out today. My salad, despite being pretty, was not that great. It was supposed to be romaine and baby kale... and there was no kale. I came home and googled it before I left this review, and there was actually baby kale in there. It just looks and tasted like blah spinach. The quinoa was also a little low on the flavor. I mostly tasted the powerful feta cheese. Next time I think I will enjoy it more with a dressing to compliment what's there, or just get some other salad, The Quinoa Power Salad was all Feta! Red Peppers! Ahh! Balsamic vinaigrette! I wanted to use the bathroom before going home, but they only have one ladies stall and SOMEONE was in there for a LONG time. I waited for then for quite a while. I was just about to use the men's room when a staff member got in line behind me. Dang! I gave them a couple more minutes before going home to pee. If staff has to use the single ladies room in the whole restaurant too, then I think there might be some issues. What if I really had to go, or wanted to wash my hands, or some poor parent had a little kid doing the potty dance... all the while one jerk is holding up the show cause they're dropping a deuce or hitting high score on candy crush. Course, they might have a legitimate reason for being in there for 10+ minutes too. Just, point of this digressive rant, they need more bathrooms. read more

I've been here twice since it opened, and both times have been really great experiences. All the staff is friendly and very engaging. They were very helpful in sampling the soups and ordering. I never met a single staff member who wasn't helpful when I was there. All the the food I'd tried was delicious. They alternate their soups everyday, so it's not the same selection from day to day, but my favorite, of course, was the pumpkin pie bisque because I love all things pumpkin. Their bisque was sweet and so delicious! I devoured the whole thing! Their lobster bisque was really good too and a very popular choice from what I've heard. i walk in zoup asking about a catering order i would plan to order in the future, expecting a positive response from the managers, they give me a serious cold look as if I shouldn't make a catering bc I would work them to death making a lot of food. some manager told me we will discuss the budget as if i can't afford the order, like don't do that to your customers , that's very bad for your business. the other manager told me that " it requires you to have a hundred dollars" as if again, i had no money. another problem i had with this place, is that the managers train their employees to hurry up the customers to buy some food, like this one employee kept telling me that she was ready to take my order at least four times, like can you just wait and let the customer look at the menu. these managers are hungry for your money and there was rumors that the managers are very stingy and make the employees, who they personally don't like, work short shifts and get paid minimum wage. no wonder i see new faces at zoup bc people quit all the time and they experience horrible treatment from upper management. the upper management should treat their employees like everyone else bc they chose to work at your place and for you to give them little hours and little pay for your own benefit is very unfair. read more

I had been waiting for a day I could try the loaded potato soup. I went today at 7:15 and ordered it with a sandwich just in case I didn't like the soup. I'm difficult, so I ordered a chicken, provolone and bacon with just chipotle mayo. I had to tell the guy what I wanted 5x and then the guys who makes the sandwich had to confirm what I wanted. My Grandfather ordered a soup and salad. So, that's 2 soup orders. When I finally got my food, I asked the girl for more bread. She said there was another piece in the bag. I told her I understand but I wanted another piece and there was only 1 piece per soup. She replies, "There's another piece in that bag you have though" ‍. So I say a few expletives to my Grandfather because I feel like I've been talking to a wall the whole time and leave. The soup was good, but I didn't have enough bread, would've paid for more just plain bread, but the soup nazi girl that works there I guess was going to take my soup privileges away if I would've asked again. Thank you I've got two sick kids at home so I thought to order chicken soup from their website for my husband to pick up. They didn't put one of the kids soups in the bag, so I called and the manager Judy picked up. She said sorry but basically blamed the website for being glitchy; said on their side they only saw one of the kids meals. I said ok, so how can this be resolved because BOTH soups are on the receipt as I have TWO children I ordered for. Her solution? "Take it up with corporate. A thousand times yes! I visited here one day after working looking to get a quick lunch. I'd never been here before, but from looking at the menu it seemed somewhat like a Panera. After eating here, I definitely would rather visit Zoup! than Panera. I recently went low carb, so ordering was a little trickier than normal. However when I asked the worker if they had a nutrition fact sheet, he happily took out a binder and told me the options that were deemed low carb (15g and under). I sampled two soups (unlimited sampling!) and both the Lobster Bisque and Broccoli Cheddar were great. He also told me the soups alternate daily which is pretty neat for soup enthusiasts. I settled on the Try Two combo and got a cup of Broccoli Cheddar soup and the Cobb salad. Both were flavorful and filling! The price wasn't too bad either, roughly $10 for it all. Not sure what all the hype is about. Started with a sample of lobster bisque. It has a big lump of flour in it. So, I went for the tomato soup. Unfortunately I didn't sample it first and didn't enjoy it at all. Tasted like it came out of a can. I also had the Greek salad which was very good. Friend had the chicken Tuscany sandwich which barely had any chicken and the veggies we chopped really small and lacking as well. My daughter had the mozzarella sandwich which was very bland she said. None of the sandwiches were toasted. Just blah! I'm not sure we would go back. Stop by tonight after passing this place for over a month and I'm so glad I did. I am a soup girl and it's so hard to find yummy soup that's not overloaded with salt. A very nice employee realized i had no clue what i was looking at and ask me if it was my first time. He then went on to explain to me how it all works and that i can taste any soup. I tasted the chicken pot pie soup (heaven!) and the lobster bisque (delicious). I would have been happy with either one but got the pot pie. It's perfectly seasoned with nice the perfect combo of veggies and chicken. I did the pick 2 combo and also ordered the Loco Burrito salad. All the fixings of well run business to streamline the process to get me through the link quickly (although there weren't many people there). Inside is modern, clean, and bright. Booth and table seating. The staff was very friendly. If you're interested in one of their soups, they'll offer you a small sample. This was a first for me. I'm used to these at ice cream shops. Well played on the soup front. The Asian salad caught my eye. Grilled chicken, carrots, scallions, almonds, and sesame dressing... all the fixings that I enjoy on a salad. Not good. Not bad. It is a "fast casual" setup like many chains are these days: Head down the line and choose the soup you want, then also pick out a nice sandwich. (I went with the half soup, half sandwich choice, get the best of both worlds. I do like the idea that you are not waiting for a menu. Long story short, speeds things up. :-) You can see the soups there right on the line, with the sandwich menu above. Place your order, and have a seat for a few minutes as they prepare things for you. My only real complaint was the amount of meat on the Sandwich... I would call this more of a "European" style sandwich on french bread (Less topping portions), which is still good in the sense that you don't leave "absoutely stuffed" as you might if you ordered up a big greasy Philly Cheese steak at another restaurant somewhere. But... Peak hours for Zoup is probably lunch-time on weekdays, and who wants to eat a massive, overloaded, greasy sandwich at lunch on a workday?!
