HORRIBLE!!! The guy came out to quote us on an estimate. We needed cabinet/granite install. It looked like he wasn't even taking proper measurements..... he said he would call within a few days for the estimate.... came on a Monday and I ended up calling on a Friday. I was told they are still working on the estimate. Called the following Wed.... was told he was out of the office and wouldn't be back till the following week. I had said it shouldn't take this long for an estimate and the receptionist just hurried me off the phone and said he would call back the following week! Never heard one word back from them! Waste of my time! I asked when he came to my house if this was something he could do! He said yes! I did not call anyone else thinking we would use them! Waste of time!!!! read more

My insurance company suggested this company and thinking they probably would get the best value I went along. They did come out right away to tear down water damaged bathroom but of course kept finding more and more issues, which left me with no walls, open line to septic, nails poking out of boards heaped on porch, no toilet, no water, for several weeks, and that was the good part. I had to keep calling to find out when the restoration would begin. I never knew from day to day who would show up or what they would be doing. There didn't ever seem to be anyone in charge and the crew kept telling me they weren't floor installers or plumbers even though that was the work they were doing. They substituted the paint color I wanted. They tore a hole in a wall while switching a faucet. They damaged items they put in storage and I still have heard nothing back. They went way over their time estimate and initial bid. They don't understand the concept of communicating with customers and on several occasions the crew would show up unexpectedly because the job they were sent to wasn't expecting them. They would often send only one person which is when most of the problems on my job occurred. If it was possible to award fewer stars I would. Read through the low to average reviews and you will see we are making the same complaints. Shoddy workmanship. Going over time. Add on costs. Poor communication. Promises not kept. And now that there are issues they will not address them at all. read more

I am not one to do a Yelp review, however, I felt compelled to do so with this company that are angels in my eyes. The mitigation manager, Mr Jon Hoover was extremely professional and meticulous. I felt at ease knowing he would do what was needed to ensure the job was done right as he would for his own family, yet not suggest to do unnecessary tasks to increase the scope of work and costs. His professionalism and clear communication continued from start to finish and it truly was a breathe of fresh air dealing with such an honest contracting company which is hard to come by. I would highly recommend Zebra Restoration located on 4311 Anthony Court, Ste 100 Rocklin, CA 95677 without any hesitation if you want the job done right and know they are a group of hardworking, and honest people from the mitigation manager to the guys that do the work on site. Eric Deloney, and John Vasquez, the on site mitigation team were also very professional, caring, meticulous, timely, and knowledgeable. I had complete faith they would treat my home with respect and ensure nothing was left behind that could cause my family any harm in the future. It makes a huge difference to have a genuine, honest, and a hard working company (Zebra in Rocklin is the best) do your job and give you confidence and the peace of mind that the job is being done correctly. I can not speak on every Zebra Restoration location but Zebra in Rocklin will have my confident referral each and every time as they simply are gems and deserve to be recognized especially Jon Hoover, Eric Deloney, and John Vasquez! If I could give zero stars, I would. Had water damage and was hoping to hire Zebra for the repair work. My insurance company was great and very fast in getting the checks for the damage made out to me and my husband. Zebra came out to look at the damage and provide an estimate/see if they could do the work for the allotted amounts from my insurance company. Three weeks later and two follow up calls from me and.....STILL NO ESTIMATE or COMMUNICATION from Zebra to me!! I spoke to someone named Michelle when I called and she stated that they need to get approval from my insurance adjuster. I had already explained that they only needed to deal with me, because I have the checks and want to get started. What a waste of my time. Fantastic experience, they took the pain out of dealing with water damage. We discovered a leak in our wall with water also under our hardwood floors resulting in mold. The team was very professional taking steps to protect my light colored carpet and to section off the work area to keep my kids safe while addressing the mold issues. They were very communicative on what to expect and how they work with our insurance company. Johnny, a supervisor was especially responsive, friendly and flexible with my schedule. Even the Regas Group staffer shared that he's never had a mold clearance test fail after Zebra was involved. First class service all the way, would not hesitate to work with them again. I'm going to give 2 or 2.5 stars. Had an emergency on a saturday which they came out that morning and solved. Basically, I had a water line break on my fridge that flooded my kitchen and soaked my carpet in parts of my living room. Their "specialist" came over and came to look at the situation, which to remove baseboard in kitchen, remove the carpet padding, and put in fans to dry it out. He didn't bring the right equipment so he called his partner to bring out more. He didn't arrive for another 90 minutes. But all in all, did an ok job. The whole reason I called them over RMC (Restoration Management Company) is because RMC doesn't do contracting work to do the repairs once the water damage is fixed. My thought was "cool... a one stop shop!" The President/Owner came out 2 days later to check on everything and give me an estmate. While doing that, he was explaining how he thought all this extra work needed to get done and things that I didn't really think were part of the scope of work... but hey, I'm not a professional in dealing with this so I went with his recommendation. I forwarded my estimate from my insurance company to him so he could see the scope of work being covered and maybe try to give me some better pricing... Boy, was I wrong. The President took it upon himself to contact my insurance adjuster and try to get them to cover things that weren't in scope of work, like painting my entire living room walls. Once my insurance adjuster denied that extra scope of work, he wrote me a pretty lame email saying that if the insurance company wasn't going to cover his 10% profit margin for his work, then he wasn't going to make any money on the repairs and it would be of my best interest to get someone else to do the repairs. I'm no expert like I said before, but I do know customer service and his communication style basically told me that he is more interested in gouging his customers than really doing the work. Long story short... Call someone else. I called Investor Renovations (916-240-7700) and they got everything done and even saved me a few bucks. read more

The worst experience i have ever had has been with Zebra. The mitigation team was great but the restoration part was terrible...full of excuses. We were told that they had 20 other clients and hence ours was not priority. I was getting calls for their deductable which i paid and the work was never done. ..i regret having been involved with Zebra! Never ever would recommend them to anyone... read more

My house flooded during the storm in Dec. I called Zebra..they were out within the hour and got all the deep water out and set dryers ....we found mold under the wood floors..they got rid of the mold ..put down new floors and painted the new walls that were partially removed and my livingroom was ready for Christmas morning with family. 10 days from flood to finish.. They were outstanding and great people to have in my house everyday . Highly reccomended!!!! read more

I cleaned my carpets with one of those at home deep cleaners, which left a wet carpet smell. I was afraid the padding had gotten wet and mildewed and possibly would need to be replaced. I had Keith, the restoration manager, come access the situation. I called that morning. He had to switch his schedule around and was able to come within an hour and arrived promptly. He checked the carpet, as well as the padding, and recommended to give it more time to dry (due to the cold weather-which slows the drying time). Recently I contacted my Statefarm Claims Department for help in establishing a damage claim due to water damage at my home and I was scammed by Statefarm and Zebra Restoration Services. I was led to believe that I needed that water mitigation company to find the leak and establish the extent of the damage so that the Adjuster for Statefarm could properly determine how much they could give me for the repairs. When Zebra arrived to my home they saw that I had a few laminated boards that were damaged however they had those board removed in less than five minutes, I had assumed that they would find the source of the leak and remove my kitchen cupboard away from the wall to determine the extent of the damage, at that time I discussed with Zebra workers how they would fix the cupboard which was clearly damaged if I were to give Zebra the reconstruction, I was told they might save the frontal portion of the cupboard and build boxes behind to make a cabinet. I knew right then that they were strictly a ghetto crap construction company. They refused to find the water leak or to remove my cabinets to determine the damage instead they put a piece of plastic across the front of my kitchen cabinets and then they drop off a fan and a box for asbestos and I was required to hire REGAS company to determine if my house had lead or asbestos that cost me $600 for nothing because there was no lead or asbestos. My Statefarm adjuster stated that I did not have to use Zebra for repairs and later announced that he would just cut me a check for repairs but as it turned out because of the age of the cabinets and the fact that I had some mold damage which is not covered under my policy the amount that I got from Statefarm wasn't even sufficient to hire a contractor forcing me to make repairs myself therefore the asbestos and lead test and the humongous bill from Zebra became absolutely a total waste of time and money. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS GHETTO COMPANY. THEY ARE RIP OFF COMPANY! read more
