    Andrew Sa's first-ever L.A. show at Zebulon 7/28/26

Recently saw country crooner Andrew Sa's first-ever L.A. concert at Zebulon on 7/28/26 - stellar show - this was my first time at the Silverlake club - cool vibe, tasty food (I had the grilled cheese sandwich, olives, & hard cider), and intimate club space for that up-close-and-personal experience - a fun time was had by all - would def return here for a show or just to grab a drink and chill on the back patio.

Caught the kickoff of Failure's US tour at this intimate spot! It was my first visit, and while the line to get in was long, the staff let us order tacos while we waited--they were delicious and a total lifesaver. The crowd was friendly, and the check-in process was seamless. Since we arrived early, we snagged seats on the left-side bleachers; the view was perfect and stayed unobstructed all night. The ambiance is chill, but I was slightly let down by the acoustics. I'd heard great things, but the bass got quite muddy during the louder sets. It only really shined during the quieter moments. Still a solid venue to see great bands!

I love having this hot venue down the street from me. The first time I went it was just to hang out and have drinks and the second time was to see a live show (Robyn Hitchcock). This spot is great in that it has so much space, you never feel claustrophobic, I love the huge outdoor smoking area, with plenty of seating (you might see a celeb or two, I spotted David J, which was fun for me as a fan of Bauhaus and Love & Rockets). I don't smoke anymore, but it seems you might be able to vape inside the stage area (I saw someone vaping during the show and no one cared, which would be great to be able to have some nicotine with my drink again). Seeing a show here is so awesome, it feels really intimate. Drinks are not unreasonable, nor is the food. In the front bar area, they run old movies and I was so impressed they were running an old Buster Keaton film. I had a pizza, it was good and just enough. I love also that they provide earplugs for you as you go into the stage room. As an old Gen X lady, the thing that strikes me most about this venue is how clean and safe feeling it is. There's no more grungy club feel these days, it must be generational. I am kind of laughing at the reviews saying they experienced bad service by snooty staff (I personally didn't experience this, but hello, hipsters be hipsters), "racism"...all I can say is try to view the world in a less entitled and subjective perspective. The world does not revolve around YOU. "Gentrification"...if you mean all the bums that still live on the river and under the overpass, I wouldn't call that gentrification lol...

Do we have to pay to get in even if we just want to hang out in the patio not seeing the show?

No; you can order at the bar and go to the patio unless there is a specific cafe event but those are not usually ticketed. The ticketed space begins to the left of the bar where they'll check your ticket and let you into the back space. At the main…

Does the whole place shut down at 1am, or is it just the bar and the dancing continues a little longer?

Not sure, I've never been there that late, and I've never been there for dancing.. Mostly music events as far as I know.

Wondering if the bar up front will be open to hang out tomorrow before the Ozomatli event? Would like to go there & eat, drink & chill before the event starts.

Wow, Ozomatli! Haven't heard that name in awhile. Regarding food and drink, yes they're open prior to the event. I was there last Saturday and a dude was shucking oysters in their patio, my friend who had a half dozen said they were flavorful. The…

Does the venue provide for corkage if we want to bring our own wine or champagne?

Had an awesome time and found out they do not have corkage.

Is there a working phone number?

Does Zebulon serve food? And, how is it if they do and what kind of prices?

The bar in front has food! I got a chickpea crepe for $3 and a cheese plate for $18. It was shared between 3 people and we were given more bread so I would say it was a good amount for the price and it was really good! Can't say anything for their…

Are cameras permitted into venue when bands perform?

The times I've been there it has been allowed.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

It's always a good time here - we've come for trivia night once, group hang outs, etc. They have an upstairs area for larger groups but make sure you call ahead to let them know! Recently we came for lunch on Friday and sat at the bar. Lots of selection for food and drinks. Our bartender/waitress was super attentive and nice. The utensil holder has seasonal specials so don't forget to take a look at those. My partner got the kimchi truffle smash burger w fries and I got the chicken wonton salad. They both came in a timely manner and were filling. My chicken was nice and tender and had a good amount of flavor. We also really liked their beer selection. We were told seating was first come, first served, so when a table opened up outside, our group of five sat down while part of our group went inside to order. Almost immediately, my friends were aggressively accused by a waitress of bringing outside alcohol, which was completely untrue. Shortly after ordering multiple drinks and several plates of food, another staff member came to our table and began yelling at us, threatening to kick us out for being "rude" to staff, even though we had done nothing but order our food and drinks. What made it even more uncomfortable was watching other guests openly smoking weed while staff said nothing, yet our group felt watched, accused, and singled out the entire time. As the only Latino group sitting outside, the experience left us feeling unwelcome, uncomfortable, and discriminated against. As a fellow restaurant owner, I understand hospitality and house policies, which is why this treatment was especially disappointing. What should have been a fun birthday celebration turned into a terrible experience, and we ended up leaving early.

They have outdoor seating right outside and didn't notice until we were walking out, but they have a bunch of tables and chairs along the curb of Eagle Rock Blvd. Drinks are pretty solid and reasonably priced for this "inflated" new norm. Average of $12 - $16 for most drinks. You order everything at the bar - drinks and food. Grab your drinks from the bartenders (all females this night), grab a table and food was be brought to your table when ready. The food was delicious. The fried Cacio e Pepe balls were excellent! Olives were meh - just straight up olives and weren't marinated so something that you can skip. Meatballs is a MUST! Got one of the tomato sauces pasta and was also delicious. No complaints here, but I hate lines so wouldn't be back unless I happen to be in the area around their opening time.
