A nice space with plenty of tables. I came in for a matcha as a sat to write some postcards while visiting Seattle. It had such a nice vibe to it. The latte was very nice! A good matcha flavor.

Grabbed an everything bagel and a cold brew before our Amtrak to Portland. The bagel was fresh and the cold brew was smooth. My partner got a white mocha latte and I don't remember exactly what he got for breakfast but he had no complaints. Service was quick, no nonsense, and the place was clean and had that classic Seattle coffeehouse feel without trying too hard.

What a great coffee shop! This was a quick walk from the train station and we needed a pre-trip coffee. Walking in the vibe is pretty relaxed. It's spacious and clean inside. The line was quick and the team was super friendly and helpful. The coffees were delicious! Perfect temp and flavor. I also got an apple turnover. It was baked well, bursting with gooey filling! Just the right level of sweet! Great location, great service, great food and coffee!!!

We found ourselves hungry after attending an event near by and found this cafe! They were prompt in helping us, took our order and got or sandwiches as we paid! Our coffee took about 15 minutes to come out, not sure why it took so long. Over all it was fine, I can't stay I would go out of my way to come back here though.

This place has been here for a while, a Seattle old timer. Glad Zeitgeist is open at 6am, at times I do need to come by this area earlier in the morning for work. It's at the corner of 2nd & Jackson in P-Square, not far from King Street Station. It's a good sized cafe to work from or take a mid-day coffee break. The line can get long just before core working hours but the staff do what they can to get your order up. The standard Vanilla Latte is pretty good, I enjoyed it very much and thank you for the heart shape art on the crema/foam. Staff was friendly in the morning, took only a few mins to get my coffee and I was on my way. Prices are ok in my book. They do offer breakfast and lunch food items, or if you want some pastries. Overall, glad to have come by, will probably be back next week.

Love this place! Spacious interior, friendly staff, great drinks and cafe food. My two fav things are the morning glory muffin (carrot cake in a muffin) & dark mocha (chocolatey goodness with their in-house espresso whip cream on top!)

Such a cute little spot on the corner! Friendly staff, strong coffee and lots of different food or bakery options to choose from.

Nice, cozy coffee shop in Seattle. Service was great and we got our coffee quick. There was plenty of seating when we went on Sunday morning. Although we didn't get any, the pastries looked delicious!

Great vibe and cool interior. The line was somewhat long with multiple people waiting, but we were served quickly. Lisa, the owner, and the rest of the team are relaxed but still very professional and accommodating. There is a good variety of sweet and savory options to choose from, and the team behind the counter offer great suggestions. Do I want my sandwich toasted? Hell yeah! Sooo glad I did. My latte had a rich flavor and just delicious. The sandwich was expertly toasted and the side salad consisted of a variety of greens with a yummy dressing. My friend had the sandwich with coppa and swooned. We liked it so much we returned the next day for the excellent coffee. This time I selected an orange and current scone. It was perfectly baked, plump currents, and the scone had the correct texture. Too often what is touted to be a scone is really just a muffin top - this was legit. What makes the place even more cozy is the owner remembered our conversation from the previous day and came over to chat - even remembered our names. Terrific hospitality. Great spot - we'll be back!

Visiting Seattle for the first time and having that first sip of coffee here at zeitgeist is amazing. The coffee is fresh and tasty. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming. The arboretum-inspired interior creates a warm, inviting space that's perfect whether you're meeting friends, getting some work done, or simply taking a break from the day. The coffee was excellent, and one of the highlights of my visit was trying their Mocha Flight. It was a fun and creative way to sample several different mocha variations side by side. While I ultimately decided that I'm still a fan of the classic mocha, I'm glad I tried it--it made for a unique coffee experience. Another nice surprise is that Hagen also has a full bar, so it's a great place to return later in the day if you're in the mood for a cocktail instead of coffee. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, making the experience even more enjoyable. Between the excellent coffee, creative drink offerings, beautiful interior, and relaxed atmosphere, Hagen Café is a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a unique café experience in Seattle. I'll definitely be back.

I had a few questions because I couldn't decide what to order, and everyone was friendly and helpful - I was even able to add corn flakes to my matcha soft serve (which isn't listed on the menu), so it was nice to know I could customize it to my liking! The matcha tiramisu was the best I've had, and the hojicha latte with oat milk was just right. The flavor was nice and strong without being overpowering. Everything I had here truly stood out! I liked the variety on the menu and all of the different options. - it's extensive and you could find anything for everyone. It's one of the more memorable matcha spots I've been to, and I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm in Seattle. If you love matcha like I do, definitely add this place to your list. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Thankfully they are open today on the Fourth of July (they will just close a little earlier for the holiday), and I was happy to see that not much has changed since my last visit. Without even realizing it, I ended up ordering the exact same drink I got the first time: a Matcha Float with mochi. I guess you really can't go wrong with it because it's still just as creamy and satisfying as I remembered. The only tiny downside is that it only comes with three small mochi balls, so for almost $9 I wish there were a few more. However, the quality of the matcha is consistently excellent, sooo I don't regret coming back. They have wonderful customer service too! The employee helping me at the register was incredibly patient while I stood there trying to decide what to order. As an awkward introvert, I always feel a little flustered when ordering, but she never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She asked my sweetness preference for the Matcha Float, whether I wanted to dine in or take everything to go, and even carefully packed up my yuzu green tea packet with the rest of my order. She was very kind and thoughtful so just wanna say I really appreciate how welcoming she was. Even from my last Seattle visit two years ago, I still remember the employees being helpful and friendly here. I also have to recommend their desserts from my previous visit. (I skipped the sweets this time due to my budget but I still suggest picking up some of their sweets!). The Matcha Basque Cheesecake and the Matcha Tiramisu were both absolutely delicious, and I still remember how amazing they tasted even two years later. The tiramisu is only around $7 and is definitely worth trying if you're a matcha lover. This visit, I picked up their yuzu green tea packet to take home (last time, I got the hojicha). Each packet contains 15 individual tea bags and costs about $10 (not bad for how much tea is in each tea bag). They also sell matcha powder and other tea goodies. I'm looking forward to brewing the yuzu green tea at home since a good cup of hot tea is always comforting, especially when I'm sick (I've been recovering from a cold so tea has been a lifesaver to warm me up!). I actually stopped by for lunch since I didn't eat breakfast, and ordered the Sukiyaki Don (it was much more satisfying than I expected). I was craving a beef bowl and Nana's was one of the few places in the area within walking distance from my work, that was actually open for the holiday today, lucky me! It came with miso soup and a soft-boiled egg, and I was pleasantly surprised to find tofu and mushrooms in the bowl alongside the beef. It left me FULL, my tummy happy, heck yeah. Costs almost $20 but worth satisfying a craving. I won't lie.. I somehow managed to spend about $40 today between my meal, drink, and tea to take home. More than I intended to spend but no regrets, because everything was delicious and the quality has remained consistently high over the years. The only thing that made my visit a little uncomfortable wasn't the café itself. There were quite a few homeless individuals lingering around the front of the building, so I decided against dining out front like I had originally planned since I wanted to enjoy the nice weather, but one of them was panhandling me so I promptly left (thankfully I asked for my order to be packaged for takeout). That's obviously outside of the café's control, and it didn't affect the food or service at all. They still had many seats available inside but probably because it's the holiday. If I recall, the place was packed during the afternoon when I last visited on a weekday. I will still say that Nana's Green Tea continues to be one of my favorite matcha spots whenever I'm in Seattle. Between the consistently high-quality matcha, delicious meals and desserts, excellent selection of teas to bring home, and genuinely exemplary customer service, it's a place I'll happily keep returning to whenever I'm back in town and have the time to visit.

Key Points: - Iconic khachapuri "bread boats"…read more- minor drawback: limited coffee customization options and only forks available The Fam and I stopped by Skalka for some breakfast/brunch before perusing the rest of Seattle during my birthday week. I saw it on a few YouTube food influencer videos and was really impressed by what I saw. The their staple is their Georgian khachapuri. They're the iconic bread "boats" filled with cheese, butter, egg, and whatever comes along the variety you ordered. TBH, I actually thought they looked like little volcanoes, which is something I figured The Little One would enjoy. What we ordered: - Stroganoff: one of the popular items listed on the yelp page. The beef was rich, succulent and comforting, with a creamy, savory filling. The pickles added a bit of bright, tangy contrast to balance the richness. - Adjaruli, the classic version with cheese, butter, and egg. To me, this seemed like the plainest version, but I figured The little One would be more likely eat this because she hates anything that resembles a sauce or toppings. Both dishes were fantastic. The bread boat sort of reminded me of a pizza crust: crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and perfect for tearing off and dipping into the cheesy center. The Little one did especially like the crust since she's a big pizza-crust fan. Surprisingly, getting her to eat the cheese and egg was tougher, as she usually likes those. I guess that's just being a kid? Inconsistent fluctuations of opinions and likings? The Mrs. and I happily finished everything she left behind. The restaurant itself is a small, casual spot with self-service kiosks for ordering and open seating. Nothing fancy, but it's efficient. We also appreciated that they had high chairs available, making it easy to visit with a child. We did see other families with kids there too. My only gripes: - once you've submitted your kiosk order, making changes isn't really possible. The staff is so busy going in and out of the kitchen, that you really don't have any opportunity to flag them down. We actually wanted to make one minor change to our order, but by the time I managed to talk to someone about it, she informed me that the order was already being made. - If you order coffee, you need to decide on cream, half-and-half, and sugar ahead of time, seemingly preset amounts. It's entirely prepared in the kitchen, not self serve, and you can't exactly customize to your liking. - Only forks were available. No spoons, no knives. Knives would have been helpful for cutting through the thicker bread crust. Those are very minor complaints, though. The food was excellent, the concept is unique, and the meal was memorable. Won't dock any points off there.

It wasn't necessarily anyone's fault, but if you order with a person this doesn't happen. Toilet is broken in restroom. But the FOOD! Was amazing. They serve only one type of dish, which is like a bread boat with cheese inside and or other filling. I got the one with spinach and cheese - it is enough for 2 ppl but I finished it on my own as a very hungry pregnant lady. We also got 2 more to go - one with beans and bacon (Lobiani) and the other with beef stroganoff. Both were delicious, although the beans & bacon one has a bit of spice. I would 100% recommend eating in person though, because everything is perfect and melty when it's fresh.
