Food was good, but not great. Portion size on the shrimp scampi was small, and pasta overcooked. This was the same on the kids meal buttered noodles. The Gulf Shrimp boil was pretty good, and good portions. Service was quite lacking in attentiveness and frequency, and we were there quite a bit earlier than the busy crowds (5:30p). Also, some bread while waiting for the meal would have been appropriate, rather than having to order a $16 corn bread appetizer. read more

We dined at Zeke's for our 52nd anniversary. Everything could not have been nicer! The food was so good and we received a complimentary bread pudding In celebration of our anniversary. The only negative remark that I would make is that we made our reservations in person and asked for a water view and were seated in a back corner. If I could rate them 6 stars I would. Everything during our visit was on point. Food was excellent, service was too notch, they even sang Happy Bday to my Mom. The bar has a really nice Bourbon selection, that night they had a bottle of WLW (iykyk) available. We ate here on Tuesday night and had a very good experience. When we got there, it was a 25 minute wait for a party of 8. The wait was very pleasant because you can have a drink outside or look around in the shops or docks. Our server was very good. She even left us a pitcher of sweet tea and readily answered questions about the menu. I had the Classic Southern Fish fry. It was very good, although I would've loved to have more than 1 filet. But, they did give a pile of fries,so I was full. Others in the party got the salmon, pork chop, caprese salad, skillet of cornbread, and shrimp boil. What a great place! Orange Beach is lucky to have you Zeke, or whoever you are. My boss says he launches from here for deep sea fishing. That makes sense because there are so many fishing boats docked here. He says they cook what you catch. How rad is that?!?!? I had this place bookmarked from a while back. As soon as we checked in our digs and saw how close it was I knew we would be watching a sunset here. It's a badass view just in case you are wondering. We made a reservation the night before and it said no outside was available, but when we got there we slid right into one of the best seats in the house outside. Wonderful setting. Food was superb. Been here one time prior and just got one app. So happy we were able to get a full dinner here. The waiter haze was so kind and attentive. He gave great recommendations as well! We sat outside and it was breezy and warm but not too hot! Blackened cobia was great the conecuh crazy was what that rice needed since a little bit on the dry side. Etouffee oysters were really good. Small oysters but the flavor was fantastic. Sides we got whipped red potatoes I'm not sure if there's a stick of butter in them but dang they were creamy. Broccolini was ok not as charred/cooked. I split the seared tuna which was good could've been a little less cooked once we cut it but flavors on point. Always get the hummus it's thick and creamy and ask for extra toast! read more

We stayed at Phoenix West across the street and have heard good things about Zeke's. Reservations recommended, but for the two of us it was a short 30 minute wait. There's a store around, pier, etc. to walk while you're waiting. A ton of indoor/outdoor seating by the pier, you can go and catch fish and they will "hook & cook" for you. Really neat concept! Ambiance: Classy, up-scale feel inside & breezy beach feel outside. Food: Let's start with drinks, my husband got the Spicy Paloma and the Old Fashioned - both quality and came out quickly. We ordered the tuna poke app* delicious! We split the gulf seafood boil (sausage, mussels, two crab clusters, and gulf shrimp) , plenty for the two of us. Quality seafood and flavorful. Served w a side of butter to dip all the seafood in! Can't wait to come back every summer. read more

5 stars for yesterdays lunch! Burrata salad with blackened shrimp was perfect, we finally got the whole burrata, not a half one and definitely not just a slice of mozzarella like before. We ate here twice during a recent weeklong cold weather visit. We really enjoy the service, the staff are welcoming and Justice remembered us from a previous visit. I enjoy the Lobster Roll, and hubby goes for whatever fish he desires. Importantly though we did the filet mignon one evening and it was delicious. So keep in mind if you have meat eaters their steaks are just as good as their seafood. Enjoy! read more

Here's how it went for us: Reservation for 2 at 7:00 on a Sunday evening - no problem. After arriving, we were seated quickly. The atmosphere is on the upscale side, which is what we were looking for. Our waitress was a friendly young lady who provided excellent service throughout the visit. For drinks, my wife ordered the "Zeke's Lady" and I requested the "Legacy Old Fashioned". Both were great cocktails. For an appetizer, we ordered the Salmon Dip, which was very tasty and a great starter for 2 people. Entrées: Crab Cakes for my wife and the Blackened Cobia for myself. We tried each others' meals and agreed that both were great choices. Well-prepared, my Cobia had great taste and not dried out at all. Her crack cakes were tender and had excellent flavor. For dessert, we shared a skillet brownie that was a great finisher for our meal. To summarize: Good atmosphere, great service & excellent food. Once again, Zeke's exceeded our expectations. The consideration they show for special dietary needs (gluten free) and a shellfish allergy is incredibly accommodating. We were served an exceptional meal, at the servers (Josh) recommendation I enjoyed the swordfish served with a creamy grits and asparagus side, and my husband had scallops with a maple glaze. We also shared an incredible wedge salad and delicious crème brûlée for dessert. The wine list is well rounded with domestic and imported options. The Charmant Chardonnay I had was served at the perfect temperature and paired well with the swordfish. This place is a must stop when visiting the orange beach area. We ordered Chef's Selected Oysters, Blackened Cobia, & Moroccan Whole Fish. The oysters were very pricey for the quality that we received. Oysters were not shucked well. It had shells in every one we bit into. Blackened Cobia's gravy was on the salty side and the dirty rice was dry. The Moroccan Whole Fish's sauce reminded me of an Indian sauce, very potent. This was my first experience at Zeke's. I've been going to Gulf Shores for many years and have tried many restaurants that have come and gone. I wish I'd come here sooner! The atmosphere was awesome. We sat at a table outside where we could see the water and the marina. Our server was extremely friendly who was accommodating about allergies. The food and drink orders did take time to get filled, but honestly, this is one place that you don't want to rush through. The food was top notch. We ordered the salmon dip and skillet cornbread --- both were quickly devoured by the 7 of us. The fried grouper and fries were perfect portions for me, and nicely washed down with the mango daiquiri. An added bonus --- this is one of the few places you can make a reservation ahead of time in the area for large groups.
