I love this place! I've seen Danielle and Ted for massage and both did a great job. Ted beat me up a little bit, but in a good way. I have gnarly knots in my back and shoulders (I'm a hairstylist)! No membership required for their great prices.They often send e-mail discounts, which is another bonus. The whole experience was mediocre at best. The message was okay. Nothing really memorable about it, but wasn't the worst massage I've experienced. Now the facial was a different story. First there was residue from the exfoliant she used still on my face, neck, and upper chest area, when I looked in the mirror there was still sorts of the face mask she used on my nose and chin, boobs of sunscreen in my eyebrow by my hair line. And when I tried to rub the sunscreen in a little more I could feel the grit of the exfoliant still on my face. So as soon as I got home I had to wash my face. Not to mention she was way too rough with the towels she was using. Hot kinda wet towels aren't great for tour wash and neither was all the tugging and pulling she was doing. Also when she put the towel over my face she kept pressing on my eye sockets. In the long run I feel like facials from that place would do more harm than good for my skin. read more

I made an appointment at 10 am and was able to get in at 1pm. My deep tissue massage was done by Michelle. Good massage, but I also felt as if I was jipped on time as others had said. According to the paperwork you fill out before (which contained some of the most personal questions I've ever seen at a massage place) they should have given me 5 minutes consultation and 5 for dressing. I don't normally do this, but I am posting to warn about Zen Massage here in Roseville. Horrible experience today. I scheduled a couples massage yesterday. The receptionist, the same elderly woman who scheduled us, was cold and snippy. She talked to me from across the room - when I responded she told me rudely she couldn't hear me. She then told me we had only booked a service for one. Management offered a 15% discount on a rescheduled appointment, but after my experience with their receptionist, not receiving our booked service on our VERY special day, and childcare wasted we decided to walk. read more

My daughter gave me a gift card since she is happy with their service. I went today for the first time. This is a very professional office. Brittany, the receptionist and office manager was very pleasant and personable. I got there 15 minutes early and she gave me a two page questionnaire to fill out and I sat in a very comfortable chair in the lobby to answer the questions. Tamika led me to my room where I got one of the best Swedish massages I have had. She had great technique and a really nice touch. However, my gift card was for one hour and I spent just 50 minutes with my therapist. I know others have raised this issue and management has responded that this is the industry standard. I have been to many massage businesses and this is only the second one where I have encountered this policy. Their opinion that appointments will all be late by using this policy does not wash with me. I wore shorts, a tee shirt and flip flops so it took me very little time to undress and dress. Instead of shorting time for their clients, maybe they should spread the appointments out. After all, all of their advertisements indicate one hour appointments. read more

My husband & I have been here multiple times now. Started coming here in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy so I have only had the prenatal 1 hour massages. My husband has had the hot stone as well as Swedish. He prefers the Swedish at this location. Scheduling appointment is always so easy and each massage therapist we have had really knows what they're doing....we always feel so amazing when finished. I decided to give this place a try. Front desk clerk really helpful. I asked about the 5 minute before and after that would make the massage itself 50 minutes, and the therapist waived that. That was great. She listened to me and gave me great pressure nice and firm, the way I had asked. Just left Zen Spa and have to say Krystal was absolutely great! I called today around 3 pm asking for a 1 hour Swedish massage and the only time they had available was 8 pm, so I booked it. Being skeptical because of "yelpers" that weren't satisfied, I decided to still give them a shot. My friend and I went here for her birthday, we were offered a great Black Friday deal for 1 hour massage and 1 hour facial. I'm pregnant so I got myself a pregnancy massage. The therapist's hands were magical, I felt goose bumps all over! I honestly never received such relaxing massage in my life! They are very professional in what they do and they do it with so much care. My shoulders were very hard and she worked on them to ease my muscles. The facial was absolutely amazing! Same as the massage lady, she had amazing hands! My face felt so relaxed and the products she used were amazing and cleared out my skin. The atmosphere in the rooms is so calming, they turn off the lights except one little dimmed light which makes the room feel relaxing and calming. And they also turn on relaxing music for you. When I got home after 3 pm today from work I saw my husband grimacing in pain with his upper back. He had a hard time turning his neck with muscle soreness and some bits of back spasms. (may have slept wrong) So I decided to look up on YELP site to see who was close and did great massages. I decided on Zen Spa . They were friendly and after answering a few questions I booked him for 1 1/2 hr massage. This place was easy to find almost next to a Verizon store off of foothill. It was a total of 79 dollars and the look of relaxation on my hubby's face was so worth it. He kept saying that it was the best massage he has ever gotten. It's good for $40, but it's definitely not always quality. They are always trying to get me to come for longer or get a deep tissue because I ask for firm pressure and have substantial knots. I appreciate it, but I come in to relax, sooth my sore muscles, and improve my mobility by the time I walk out of there. No bad experiences. read more

My therapist Alex was amazing, using the perfect amount of pressure (and I'm hard to please. ...I like my massages firm but not quite a deep tissue....A lot of therapist can't keep that pressure consistently for over a hour!) I have been going to Zen for three years, even before I relocated up here and love it! The receptionist, Sydney is patient, cheerful and was very helpful in selecting the right therapist and treatment. The fact that their therapists are contractors and not employees is great because they all have different specialties and backgrounds. I have tried several of their therapists and have enjoyed ALL my massages. Ray is amazing at finding and relieving my pain, Amber relaxes me into a daze and Amanda is firm but relaxing. I really enjoy taking my hubby for couples massage as our date night for a short but well worth every penny mini getaway from the baby and stress. I appreciate the competitive pricing and flexible scheduling. I hope you try them or if you didn't have my experience try a different therapist whom may better suit your needs! read more

Wow this place is amazing! Absolutely no high pressure sales the people at the front desk are extremely amiable and professional and my massage therapist was wonderful. I had Rachel do a sports massage on me since I've been doing some pretty intense workouts lately an she did a fantastic job. She made me feel very comfortable and was great to talk to. She had to work me over pretty rough so I am just a tad sore but I needed it I was super tensed up! I definitely feel loose and limber like I'm ready to kick butt at the gym :-) all in all a great place I'd wholeheartedly recommend Rachel she's got a lot of strength and shes a lot of fun to talk to. I had an hour and a half massage from Donald Worley, Jr., and it was excellent. When I made the appointment two days before Thanksgiving, I asked for a deep tissue massage because I knew I would be cooking and shopping for almost two days straight. When I came in, Mr. Worley asked me what brought me in. I told him that I had been shopping and cooking for Thanksgiving for almost two days straight and ever muscle in my body hurt. He asked me what kind of massage i usually get, and I said Shiatsu, but I thought a deep tissue massage might be more appropriate given my circumstances. He said he could do a combination of the two to focus on what he thought would be my problem areas -- my back, lower back and neck. He was right. It was the perfect massage for me given what I'd been doing for the last two days. I appreciate that he took the time to figure out what might suit me best and tailored the massage to what I needed. He used the time allotted wisely to focus on my problem areas, but the massage was equally good on my non-problem areas, especially my feet. I've had good massages at Zen Spa in the past, but I think Mr. Worley's was the best. I highly recommend him. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because of the cleanliness of the place and they did a great job with Covid precautions. My experience with the massage therapist however was not great. She was professional, but did/said some things that she shouldn't have. She also cut the massage short. I have never before this felt rushed during my time at a massage at any other place. I've had 60 min massages before this FYI. So, I bought a 60 min massage at Zen. I paid attention to the time. It was 1:05 when she started the massage. I told her what areas to focus on, and even though she listened, every other part of the massage felt rushed. She finished the massage before the hour was up and I was dressed and leaving the room by 2 pm. I had told her to focus on my neck, shoulders, upper back and hips. I left the massage room feeling like I had a pulled muscle in my neck and hip and told the therapist that. She recommended that next time I buy a 90 min massage instead of the 60 min since it takes the body 20 min to "warm up". She also said my neck must feel like that because she loosened the muscles around that area, which didn't make sense to me. I have NEVER had a massage therapist tell me that or use that as an excuse for someone not being happy with the results. I left the massage with a pulled muscle in my neck and hip...I'd possibly try Zen again but would never go back to the same therapist. 3 stars for her is being generous. read more

I call for same day appointments and they always seem to fit me in! They do not require membership which is a plus. For 1 hour massage I believe it was $49.95. and for 1.5 hours it was $79.95.
