The Zephyr Lounge at Embassy Suites Pioneer Square, Seattle WA For a cross-country trip on Amtrak for the first week of July 2026, I booked sleeper accommodations from Union Station, Washington, D.C.; to Union Station, Chicago; to Seattle's King Street station; to Vancouver's Pacific Central Station. Once in Seattle VIA Rail Canada would leave about 5 hours after Amtrak deposited me there, so I headed out from Seattle's King Street station looking for food and drink. Both Seattle and Vancouver were hosts for matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and on the day I was there Seattle was teeming with fans ready to watch a match pitting Senegal against Belgium. When I landed at the Zephyr (adjacent to the Embassy Suites, which offers the Zephyr Café, Zephyr Lounge and Restaurant, and the 13 Coins) the game between Senegal and Belgium was just starting. I'm not a fan - plain and simple, I really don't usually care about el fútbol. But given how participants and fans were energized in Seattle (and across North America), I decided to settle in to watch the game before my train to Vancouver departed later that day. Glad I did - hanging out at the Zephyr was transformative. By mid-game I was hooked. The Zephyr was the perfect venue for me to hang out and watch the game. The staff there clearly were setting up for the after-game crowds, with hot, cold, and warm table buffets that would be loaded during the final minutes of the game, ready for fans as they departed Seattle Stadium. For a light lunch, I ordered Shrimp Croquette (fried breaded croquette balls filled with shrimps topped with salsa fresca served with chili sauce, $14) and a G&T (total for the meal, including tip, was $40.17). The place was nearly empty - I'm guessing most of Seattle was at Seattle Stadium, watching the match a couple of blocks away from the Zephyr. I found the seating comfortable with a nice view of the big screen TV, service was attentive without being intrusive, and I settled in and watched almost 90 minutes of the match. All of us at the Zephyr were watching the game from the first to the agonizing last minutes. Sure, Belgium took it, but it did so after a penalty call against Senegal that hardly earned the crowd's approval. The Zephyr proved to be ideally located - near the train station and in the heart of downtown Pioneer Square. Prices were reasonable for the area, the restroom was clean, and while the volume of the live broadcast might have made conversations a little bit difficult, all eyes were on the big screen watching the drama unfold two blocks away. read more

The restaurant is attached to the hotel, they have happy hour with good food and a small discount on certain drinks, Rebecca is awesome, service is on point, even with recommendations, its a classy ambiance but causal. Definitely worth hanging out there read more

Service was quick! We ordered two Beechers Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque with Beecher's cheddar, sourdough, creamy tomato basil soup. Both were delicious but the soup portions were tiny...! 8 spoonfuls and it was gone. I don't think I've ever seen such a small serving of soup...! This being a room service order during our Embassy Suites stay, we enjoyed our meal looking out over downtown Seattle city lights from a high corner room on the 21st floor. What a nice place to stay! I was in town for a couple nights and was left on my own for dinner. I was given several options, but went back to my room to relax and time got away from me. So I ordered room service which is provided by the Zephyr Bar inside the hotel. There is a QR code on a rack card in the hotel room that takes you to a website for in-room ordering. The site is a little weird when you want to remove items or leave items on your food. It says something like "No tomato" and then "add". I was very confused as I wanted no tomato, but it seemed like I was adding tomato. I opted to add it and in the final cart does it list that you requested no tomato. It's a little wonky and needs work. It was the fastest room service I had ever received. I ordered their burger and fries and a Diet Coke. I thought it would be an hour like at every other hotel I have ever ordered room service in. They were knocking at my door in less than 20 minutes and the delivery person was friendly, had a smile on her face, and genuinely meant for me to enjoy my food. It was a pleasant surprise. The burger and fries were bursting out of the to-go box. The burger (pictured) was huge. The burger was perfectly cooked at the medium temp I requested. The cheese (cheddar) was plentiful and melted perfectly on top, the lettuce cold and crip, pickles thinly sliced and crunchy, and fries were homemade fries, a little crips and full of flavor. The Diet Coke was a Diet Coke (it was in a bottle, so no surprise there - didn't receive a cup with lots of ice and barely any drink, which is the norm). However, the pickles were bread and butter pickles so they changed the overall taste of the burger and sort of overwhelmed the taste. Once I removed them, the burger was perfect - juicy and flavorful. They provided a lot of ketchup packets, but no mustard or any other sauce for that matter. I have never had to ask for mustard with a burger before, and it was surprising that it wasn't provided. Also, there were no salt and pepper packets added either. I really didn't need pepper, but the lack of salt packets were odd as there were fries. Lastly, they forgot to include napkins. There was one, but it was a flimsy one included with the plastic utensils (which weren't needed, and no, the salt and pepper packets were not in with the utensils). Now that you know you're getting bread and butter pickles, I would advise to not get them on your burger as they overwhelm the overall flavor. Also, if you want something besides ketchup, don't forget to ask and if you need salt (and/or pepper), you must ask for that as well. And don't forget to ask for extra napkins as the burger was really juicy. That's why they get 4 stars and not 5. read more

Came in here a couple weeks ago after having dinner near by. We were still pretty hungry and decided to walk here to get a drink and some food to snack on. I just went with sparkling water cause I was driving and also got some truffle fries and grits. Both were good, but we got pretty stuffed snacking on them. Took the rest of the fries to-go and left the rest of the grits at the table cause I can't imagine them being as good the next day. The service was friendly, but wasn't very attentive. Caesar salad was missing croutons which we asked to have them bring out, the chicken appeared to be precooked and reheated in the microwave, maybe 4 oz. Mac & cheese says it's made with Beecher's however the Mac and cheese was yellow, like it had been made with velveta. When we asked they said it's because they mix the beechers with pepper jack, which is also white. It was watery and tasteless. Nachos were made with canned nacho cheese, same chicken as the salad, cafeteria quality at best. It was a nice hotel bar, and I probably would have given one more star had the service been better. It was not busy, even when we went on a Friday night at 8pm. Our server was helpful enough with recommending beers for one of the people in our party, and brought our first drinks promptly. I had one of their cocktails, don't remember the name, but it's the one with egg white in it (I love egg white in a cocktail) and it was good. Pretty pricey for the portion I got, but it is a hotel bar in downtown Seattle. Our server never came back to check on us, and all of us had been sitting for a while with empty drinks before we finally flagged her down for round 2 (there was one other group of 2 at the bar). I had a Yelp check-in deal, and when it came time to pay she had no idea what that was about (to be fair, the manager didn't know about it either, so it seems like someone higher-up set up the deal and didn't tell the employees about it). The drinks were good, but pricey, and the service left something to be desired. But, if you're looking for an upscale lounge vibe this will do the trick. read more

We came here for yelp elite event and had the opportunity to try the drinks and food. Everything was really good, the drinks were made with freshly squeezed juice which makes a huge difference. We tried the French 75 and the Post House. Both were delicious and refreshing. They try to use local ingredients and alcohol. The bartenders were knowledgeable and very friendly. Food: We tried the grilled cheese and tomato dipping sauce. That was hands down my favorite out of all the food we tried. Came in for a nightcap during the evening happy hour ($5 drinks). I felt pretty bad, because I didn't realize the bartender had already done last call - apparently it closed at 10pm on weekdays. I was pleasantly surprised when I was still able to order a drink. The decor was nice and the location inside the hotel was perfect as I didn't need to navigate the streets late at night by myself. I felt bad for the bartender when I realized he had to put away every single bottle of alcohol for each closing shift due to not having a closing gate/door. I jokingly mentioned "who thought that was an effective closing practice" and he mentioned that it's been that way for over a year. I really just came one here to write a positive review for my server. He was friendly, professional and engaged in good conversation. I saw a few "disgruntled" customers he was helping - apparently the kitchen manager disappeared and a customers order was really late being sent out. Not only did he handle it like a champ, he was able to calm them down and didn't even explain that they were forgotten. It takes someone with great work ethic to "take one for the team" instead of throwing the kitchen under the bus. I hope he gets paid well because he handled the situation well. read more

This is really quite good for a hotel bar. It is inside the new Embassy Suites near Century Link field and they have a decent cocktail menu. I look forward to this being a place to hang out before any game or match. I had "The Boat House" cocktail and it is a very good albeit high end variation of an Old Fashioned. This little bar is conveniently located inside the Embassy Suites Hotel and right around the corner from CenturyLink Arena. Atmosphere is classy but casual. The hotel is new and thus the bar is too. Bartenders, Baghi and Alex, are very friendly and entertaining. They also have great memories as they remembered our names and our drinks of choice after only one visit. The cocktails they craft are made with fresh ingredients and they taste their beverages before they go out, to ensure consistency. I challenge you to allow Baghi to use his mixology skills and create his own drink for you. He is very talented. Small menu of bites available, all of those which we sampled were very good. TV's available to watch your favorite sporting event. This is also the spot the hotel hosts cocktail hour, nightly. Unless...the hotel is booked up and then they move it upstairs based on space constraints. If you aren't into alcoholic libations this bar is still worth a visit for a snack, viewing a sporting event and free entertainment as the guys toss around the drinks they make for others. read more

I got the pleasure to come here yesterday for a special yelp elite event. I got to try a few of their food items as well as one drink off of their menu and everything was really tasty! Cheese & meat platter, deviled eggs, grilled cheese & tomato soup dippers, muffuletta sandwich, and grilled octopus! Everything was fresh and they also use a lot of local ingredients which I thought was cool! I got to try "The Post House" drink and that was pretty tasty as well! Their drinks tend to be a little more on the expensive side, don't know if the menu that was provided to us were happy prices or not but it ranged from 12-18 dollars for the most part. The two bartenders that tended drinks to us were super friendly, funny and nice. Great vibe. I would definitely come back here for happy hour! I would post a much better review had it been Tuesday night and not my experience on Wednesday night. Tuesday night, sitting at the bar, a gentleman inquired about the price for a shot of one of the bourbon's. The bartender looks on the point of sale machine and comes back. The customer gets a double and tells my coworker and I that it's a good deal at that price. I tell the bartender that I will come back the next day after work and will try it. Wednesday night, I have clients and we go to the bar and I ask the bartender (different person) about the experience from the night before. Another person is there and looks at the price on the point of sale machine and goes into the back. I go to the restroom, come back, and my client and coworkers look at me and inform me that they changed the price on the drink because I told them about it. I asked if they would honor the price and they said no. Absolutely ridiculous and it was in front of coworkers and a client. I will never return to the bar and will never recommend that establishment (even if we stay at the Embassy), again. read more

Came here for a Yelp Elite event and was impressed by the cocktails and much of the food. The cocktails were very good, and had a great balance of flavors. They ranged in cost from $10-18, but well worth it. The food was also good. Some things were better than the others. The grilled cheese was just okay, same with the octopus. The tomato soup/dip was outstanding, and the fennel salami sandwich was tasty. Deviled eggs had a piece of fish across the top, which was different, but still liked the taste. Drinks were good, service was terrible. We stopped in one night before the Mariners game. Surprisingly it wasn't too busy. There were 5 of us, however I was the only one who ordered a cocktail. I got the Clover Club which was pretty tasty. 3 of the other girls in our party ordered the blue moon and a shot deal on their Sounders special menu. 1 girl ordered a glass of red wine. Considering there was only 1 craft cocktail in our order it shouldn't have taken 10+ minutes for our drinks to be delivered. Uncapping 3 beers and pouring a glass of wine isn't too labor intensive. This bar within the newly opened Embassy Suites is a great addition to the neighborhood. A nice menu and creative cocktails are complimented by a beautiful space. My first cocktail, the Kentucky Brunch, was delicious. When I wanted to change my drink for the second round our bartender created a savory and spicy margarita that hit the spot! The bartenders at Zephyr Bar were incredibly knowledgeable and charming. They even stayed open late to accommodate our group. All in all this place was wonderful and I will be going back very soon. read more
