They did a great job! I was very pleased with my regular pedicure which was done by Bella. Unbeknownst to me, you need an appointment but they do accept walk-ins if they have an opening so I was able to get a pedicure without an appointment. On the day I visited they had a guy standing at a desk near the front entrance. When I arrived there were two customers at the desk ready to pay, but he greeted me and let me know he would be right with me, which I appreciated. This place is not typical of other nail salons in the area...the ones where a nail technician sits near the front entrance while working on someone's nails and asks rather abruptly, manicure or pedicure as soon as you walk in. You reply and they say pick a color and have a seat. This place does quite the opposite and will ask if you want water, sparkling or still. Nice touch for neighborhood nail salon. The vibe of Zero 2 Nail seems very orderly and clean. And what I liked most is they have a sign that communicates to not talk on your cellphone with the speaker on! Love it. It is unfortunate they have to remind people to use their public manners but glad to see they are! While they are orderly I do find they are perhaps too orderly or strict. For example, if I want to go back to Bella for a regular pedicure, apparently I can't request her. I can but only if I want a premium service, such as No Chip Pedicure. I thought that was odd, and not sure of the reason that's in their business ops., but is just something to note. read more

Great local spot to get your nails done. The interior is bright and colorful with interesting art work to look at and nice high ceilings. The pedicure chairs are messaging and the man who runs the front desk is wonderful - very accommodating and a great manager. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure and am writing this review 3 weeks after getting them done, and my nails still look perfect. My nail tech took her time and was very thorough with her work. First time visitor! I called and they were able to squeeze me in on a Saturday afternoon and let me tell you, it was great! Definitely my new go to! The owner was very sweet, conversational and made sure to be extra sanitary. I got a gel manicure with Bella and I'm obsessed! She was so nice to talk to and paid very close attention to detail. Great place! Kate did a gel manicure for me. She was very fast but still very good! I was very happy. It was $48 for a gel manicure but I got $2 off for paying with cash. I will most likely go back and also get a manicure which I saw was $48. These prices are a lot for me as I used to get them done in LA/OC for less than $30 per manicure or pedicure. I had a great experience at Zero 2 Nail Spa! I needed a last minute manicure and was able to get right in. The guy on the phone was super nice and when I arrived he was even more friendly. Everything was very tidy and the polish bottles looked clean and fresh. I appreciate cleanliness at a nail salon. I usually use Essie brand, the color Waltz but tried a new brand. I absolutely loved their version of a sheer white color. Bernie did my manicure and he was just and polite and friendly. He chatted as he took his time and gave me a really nice manicure. I'm very picky about my nails when I decide to get them done so was pleasantly surprised when I left Zero 2 Nail on my birthday with the best gel manicure I've ever gotten. I get a little annoyed at previous places when there is a mound of gel at the base of the cuticle that doesnt lay flat with your actual nail but this mani is FLAT! It's been 33 days and there is not a single chip, too! My girlfriends went to another place 1.5 weeks ago and their mani is half ripped off already. I live right next door so very convenient and usually pretty easy to get an appointment (I'll try to call one to two days in advance). I like that they do minimal services (gel, polish, reg mani /pedi) since I just do gel usually. I believe they only have three nail techs at the moment, so I would call to check availability as they are always pretty booked. Monday-Thursday 10-3 they have a special of 10% off certain nail services (call for more info). You feel the hospitality as soon as you walk in, greeted by the manager and offered a still or sparkling water. They have great massage chairs that get in pretty deep. They open the packaging of their tools right in front of you. All good things! I've had Kate and Nara as my techs and they both did such a great job. The take their time and do a thorough cleaning. I got a no chip mani and regular pedi and they both lasted three weeks (I should've changed it sooner, but didn't make time to). Price point is a little more expensive than other places I've been to in Bucktown, but I suppose it's due to location. The only other thing is I felt their color selection is a bit limited. I love yelp, but I have yet to write a review of my own - so here goes. I recently moved to Chicago from out of state so I have been desperately needing a new regular spot. This place was incredible! Today was my first time getting a mani/pedi since COVID and to say they knocked it out of the park would be an understatement. This was probably the cleanest place I've been since I've started to venture out. Not only were their cleaning and COVID protocols top notch, but they were also the kindest group of individuals I've come across. There was plexiglass between each stand, and they took your temp and had you sanitize before coming in. I felt super safe in here. My mani/pedi also came out amazing!! They were equally fast but also meticulous in making sure everything came out perfectly. I just put together furniture tonight (totally my bad - not great timing on my part) and my regular manicure stayed perfectly intact! I wish I could rate them 10 stars. Kate is phenomenal, she's incredibly professional and takes a lot of pride in what she does. My powder manicure took about 50-60minutes, was $45 (10% off before 3pm M-Th i believe; otherwise $50). Their powder product is very high end and Kate took a lot of time and dedication to make sure my nails looked perfect. She made sure every exact portion of my nail was covered and filed down/rubbed in cuticle oil to make sure everything was smooth and round- which is not easy to do. 10/10 would recommend. But I called today to schedule an appointment and was told I needed to provide a credit card (I've scheduled many times before without providing a card). Zero 2 Nail Spa is by far the best mani and pedi I've had in Chicago! I went when they first opened and have been there a number of times since (I live in the neighborhood, but if I had to, I would travel just to come here). Consistently every visit is wonderful. They greet you when you walk in, offer to take your coat and give you a beverage. Making an appointment is strongly encouraged, but I've seen them do everything in their power to accept walk-ins, even when they're fully booked. I usually get a regular mani and pedi as my service and the manis last for at least a week without showing a sign of chipping. I would say the average time the polish has lasted has been close to 10 days so it's an excellent value and a testament to the quality of service! Love the massage chairs during pedicure services. The owners are so wonderful and kind. The rest of the staff is friendly and very detail oriented in the services. They talk if you prefer, but can tell if you just need to relax and don't wish to chat the whole time. They play calming music and have subtitles on the Netflix shows playing (sometimes I sit at the dryers a little bit longer just to finish seeing who wins on the baking show haha). Pricing is similar to what you'd find in the neighborhood but the service exceeds expectations so it's beyond worth it! read more
