Have been here multiple times. Thank you guys for the environment and your staff. Everyone has been nothing but nice to us. We were lucky enough to get a picture with our main dude. The food is phenomenal!!! This will forever be one of our favorite spots.

So glad I tried this gem. Small place with few counter seating. True Italian food. The owner was there & recommended the mushroom pizza. Great suggestion. No red sauce, it was delicious. We also got a slice of the pepperoni. It reminds me of Detroit style pizza with the caramelized crust. Fast friendly service. We took home the house made tiramisu to have with coffee. Omg! Probably the best I've had. Shareable size, but I wanted to lick the bottom.

Owner dished out our pizza by the slice. Totally Italian vibe here. Being from Chicago and so close to Detroit, I would say this pizza is what would happen if both cities pizza had a baby. Owner may debate you and tell you it is Roma Italian pizza but, let's just agree to disagree and say it Huntington Beach style pizza. Pizza was delicious and do not hesitate to stop here and get a slice if you are in Huntington Beach and craving pizza. We got cannoli and tiramisu to go. I strongly recommend this choice. Made coffee at home and devoured these desserts. They were in house made by the owner's Italian wife.

Pretty good stuff. Feels like a hole in a wall.... Food were by the slice and or a whole one. The flavors were classics and some interesting ones. Service was quick and helpful. They pretty much steer you towards what you could get. A slice could be a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Had the pepperoni and they were crispy. Also the mushroom flavored one was pretty good. It tasted truffle y if you get what i mean. But yeah. Nice to get takeout then just eat it on the beach :)

Ciao! First time here. Went to HB to spend time with family. My sister Elizabeth is more of a regular but they always talk about this place. After here I can understand the pizza is fantastic - it's light and refreshing and the sauce they use is just right. My only suggestion is this get rid of the pineapple on pizza I know it's catering to us Americans but I would suggest offering tuna, red onions and capers, mozzarella as an offering instead. I suggested to the owner (woman) handling the register but didn't tell her about getting rid of the pineapple on pizza. Anyways I will definitely stop by to try out more of there offerings I noticed they sell pints of gelato and some desserts. Hopefully some espresso too! But yes you cannot go wrong here!!

Not only is this the best pizza in SoCal, but I think in general, it is one of the best I have had. I am beyond obsessed with the zero zero Doppio pizza of the truffle mushrooms and sausage. I could eat a whole pizza to myself. I love how one slice is really two, bc they cut a big size in half. I also love the veggie pizza, it's packed with thinly sliced veggies on top! Pizza is always fresh and depending on the time, they may have different options and some baking in the oven. The family is from Italy so you know it's legit and they use scissors to cut the pizza. Service is fast and friendly and it's the Italian owners who work there! The only sad thing is I'm not near this place 24/7. Some wall seating inside and more seating outside. If you don't go here while in Huntington Beach, you've missed out!!!!

"Garage parking" could mean private parking. Doesn't say lack restrooms outright. Yelp asking if they've restrooms; even Yelp doesn't know.

My review is based on my experience + perspective during my visit (regardless of prior notices). The star rating I give reflects the perceived pros vs cons, influencing my opinion of the business and my likelihood of returning to the business while weighing against the pro:con (like:nonlike) ratios of the business' competitors. - No parking lot. Parking around downtown HB, or anywhere dt for that matter, is hectic wild card. I heard there's validated parking in a nearby structure. I had to pay about $2-3 worth of quarters for 1-2hr street parking. - This place didn't have potable water. - And no restrooms. Wherever you're coming from, make sure you go before you go~ - Limited seating. + But nice they have both indoor + outdoor seating. + Yummy calzone. Various revitalizing meats inside. - But lots of cheese and bread. Not my cup of tea. + One communal can of pepper flakes, hand sanitizer, and napkins readily available. + Abundant interior decor. + Casual ambience. + Nice staff. Quick service. + Tip: I ordered ahead on Seamless, some $7 promo code auto-applied for me. I had: $17.99 Hangover Calzone + tax - $7.20 promo = $12.63 yippee! Elaborating why I gave more than 2 stars: + Despite not completely enjoying the food, I certainly enjoyed the meat diversity (the calzone had pastrami, beef, salami). Yum! Elaborating why I didn't give 4+ stars: - Besides the calzone consisting of so much cheese and bread (I don't like that), it also lacks vegetables (leafy greens, mushrooms, etc.) I value a food for its ingredient diversity for both nutritional diversity and texture diversity. In this case, noting the lack of vitamins and fiber I'd get vs if I had a more well-rounded calzone. - There's tough competition in pizza. Various other pizzerias offer higher pro:con ratios as well as fewer total cons for me. Other notes: . I'm checking this business' Yelp page, particularly the "Amenities and More" section, and I don't see where it clearly says "do not have private parking". I see it says they have "Garage parking, Street parking". "Garage parking" can be interpreted as private parking. . The Yelp pg also doesn't clearly mention they don't have restrooms. Only one relevant mention: "no ADA-compliant restroom". That doesn't mean the business has no restrooms outright. . And no mention of potable water. - Though it wasn't my point during my initial writing of this review, seems there are surprises after all. . True, the business can't control city matters like meters or street policies. Nevertheless, I mention these details in my reviews not to count them directly against the business but to provide abundant information to readers because, like I said in the beginning, these details are still part of the overall experience at the business and influence my likelihood of returning to the business while comparing against the likes vs nonlikes experienced at the business' competitors. - Someone once told me they care especially about parking. Even if the food's good but the parking's a hassle, they don't bother. Even IF the business had -clearly- forewarned about its (controllable) dearths, to me that's no excuse from amelioration. Maybe someday they'll consider installing restrooms or fixing their soda machine to dispense water. Or -clearly- mentioning the existence and location of validated parking on their Yelp pg. Anything to improve future customer comfort. But for now, my review reflects Feb '26.

Zero Zero Pizzeria in Huntington Beach is hands down one of the best pizza spots around. The crust is absolute perfection -- light, airy, slightly charred, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in authentic ingredients and doing things the right way. Every bite tastes fresh and thoughtfully crafted. This pizza here has always been phenomenal from the first bite until the last one. After a nice morning walk, we stopped by to grab a bite here. This is a small hole in the wall, that deserves the attention to be highlighted. I forget how generous their slices are! My daughter and I each got a slice and I promised myself I would only have half of it, but I lied to myself because this pizza is soo good I couldn't have only a few bites. They offer a variety of pizzas, the taste is so authentic and original, unmatched. I was a happy camper with the pepperoni sausage. I have to come back and try the rest although I stay loyal to the pepperoni kind. The young lady behind the counter was sweet and helped us out right away. They also offer a variety of dessert which I have yet to try.

ZeroZero39 Pizzeria is a true Roman style slice shop and a great find in Huntington Beach. The pizza has that crispy, airy texture that makes Roman slices so good. Light yet satisfying with a great crunch and strong execution. You can taste the authenticity. The place is run by true Roman Italians, and it shows in the details. If you are looking for a proper Roman slice in Orange County, this is absolutely worth the stop.

Why is ZeroZero so bomb? This is our go to pizza place in downtown. Yes, there are others. Yes, they may be cheaper. But no, you will not have your soul left happy. All of their topping combos are bomb. You honestly can't go wrong.

I can't believe I didn't eat here earlier in my life. Absolutely wonderful pizza from the softness to crunch ratio in the bread, to the fresh herbaceous tomato sauce, to the amount of toppings -- I loved everything about this pizza. It is not directly on main street but is tucked away on the side with a few bar seats in front. The kind lady who helped me was extremely knowledgeable about all the pizzas, what goes into it, and the process. It made the experience here 10x better. I ended up getting their special with sausage, onion, mozzarella and it was my absolute favorite. The quality of sauce really shined here. I also got their mortadella which honestly could pass more as a sandwich than a pizza. They had some drinks I hadn't seen before and the decor of being a family owned business made my eating experience here even more enjoyable. Would definitely come back.

The Dopio Zero was fantastic. This pizza is good and can probably feed 4 people. I also knocked back a Hero Calzone. This calzone had the lightest, flaky, pastry with what is the best cheese I have had in a long long time. The Italian sausage hit the spot! read more

First of all.. Yes this place is an authentic pizza place. Roman Style.. They do pizza by the slice and give you large slices.. the ingredients here are fresh, organic. the pizza here is soft, baked just right and very delicious. my recommendations are the Truffle pizza.. they use porcini mushroom, cheese, herbs parley and top off with the most delicious truffle oil you will die for! it's perfect and amazing. also the veggie.. i love the olives, the tomato, the artichoke and red onions.. they also have great sandwiches, salads and delicious cannolinni. The owners Francesco and Carlotta are so nice and sweet! i love to come and say hi to them.. best hole in a wall pace to get pizza and it's near the beach also read more

It's refreshing to see a nice family succeeding in a small business. Everything on the menu is excellent! This is a true Italian family making authenic Italian Pizza - if only they could add gelato! Seems like every time I'm in there I see somebody famous. I eat pretty quick so the green curbside parking out front works perfectly. The owners have the cutest little dog too! read more

I love the pizza here. It's downright delicious. I eat pizza once a week and have tried everything around and literally this is one of my top favs. I'm only giving 3 stars because I order from you guys once a week (ubereats) and paid $30 (plus another $12 for delivery fee, taxfor a pizza where you left off one of the key ingredients (and there are only 4 ingredients total on this pizza), fresh rosemary. Just nuts. And 1 of the other 4 ingredients, potato, was underdone. Come on zerozero...take care of your local diehards please! UPDATE: The owner and his wife are absolutely fantastic. This is the best pizza EVER. Rustica all the way. And the cookies are honestly some of the best I've ever had. Best pizza we've ever had. It's almost an hour drive from Whittier to HB but sometimes you just gotta have great pizza. Well worth fighting traffic for. The pizza has just the right amount of toppings. The shop is clean and the service is great. It's nice to have free water brought out to your table with your order. Really just an average pizza place. Nothing stands out at all, just pre-made pizza that's put in the oven to reheat. The sandwiches are also mediocre, about on par with subway or Quiznos. The ingredients they use seem good quality though. read more

You can see by the reviews the pizza and their sandwiches are excellent. I am chiming in because of the great customer service they have. The owner has put together quite a team and they really treat you like family! Cheyenne is especially outstanding! She made me two sandwich's that were incredible. Whoa! I feel like I went to Rome for the day! Growing up in an Italian family I know when pizza is authentic. The pizza here is spot on and it was soooo delicious. Wish I lived closer to enjoy it on a regular basis. You won't be disappointed. We ordered the margarita and sausage/pepperoni. The sauce and crust tastes just like Italy! One of my favorite pizza places to eat at. If you're in Main st. Huntington Beach definitely stop by here! Fresh tasting and amazing different kinds of pizzas. Not only that, their pastas are delicious as well! Zerzero pizza and pineapple with ham are the best. When they were out of the pineapple ham they made a fresh new one for us. So, So Good..the best pizza in Huntington Beach! Cute little place with awesome pizza. You order in slices but the slices are large, we always order too much..but oh well. Our favorite is the Truffle Mushroom Pizza but you really can't go wrong with any of the kinds they have. read more

We loved this place the first time we came. Everything was fresh and hot. The second time we came back the pizza looked like it had been sitting out. Wasn't the same even reheated in their oven. We came back three times in less than a month and unfortunately the last two visits were disappointing. I think it's best to order to go so your pizza is fresh and hot and the crust soft and not hard. read more

I have walked by this place quite a few times but stopped the other night with my friend and two teens. The pizza is so great. Lots of flavor options along with some interesting one. I don't usually love the crust of a pizza, but their crust is amazing! The owner was loud and welcoming and checked in on us many times. read more

First time trying this place - being born & raised on the East Coast I cannot believe it took me this long to try it!!!! Our new go-to place for a slice. The guy behind the counter who I asked if he was from NY was the nicest guy ever - I didn't even ask and he told us what each pizza behind the glass was and what was in it. Excellent staff. Excellent food. Too bad they don't have some craft beers to wash those delicious pies down, but no worries, I love 2 blocks away. My friend introduced this place to me today! I am very happy she did because the pizza is very good (understatement). The crust is thin, light, and chewy. The ingredients are simple and delicious. They have an array of pizza choices. I got a slice of the Pesto Pizza and man, after one bite I really wanted to buy a whole Pesto Pizza because it's that amazing! It doesnt leave you feeling heavy and the pizza is not oily like other places. I also saw they served Tiramisu (my favorite Italian dessert of all time)! It is homemade and it is also one of the best I've ever had! My boyfriend is not a big fan of tiramisu because he isnt a big coffee/espresso person, but he LOVED this one and took it away from me. I just want to say if it wasn't the food it is the customer service that'll keep us going to this pizzeria. My husband and I had such a great experience here. There's is so many options to choose from and each looked ridiculously delicious, the taste exceeded satisfaction! Service was quick and friendly. I come back to pick up the cake. It comes out hot and newly decorated with icing. 10 minutes down the road I check the cake, and the icing is completely melted. By then it's 9pm and I can't turn around to go back to the store. The next morning around 11am I called the store to speak with the manager. I leave my contact info, and I receive a call within 20 minutes from the store manager, Dustin. I explain the situation and how the cake is not presentable anymore for the birthday event I ordered it for. He apologizes and offers a dozen cookies or a refund. Since there's no time for me to drive back to Huntington Beach for a party that is in Pasadena within the next hour, we opt for the refund and Dustin states, "This is my personal number, I'll shoot you a text when that refund goes through." A week later, no refund, no communication, no follow-up. I called Dustin one more time, left a voicemail and one additional text just incase. Over the course of several days, still no response. Suffice to say, it is what it is. I just wanted a refund for the cake that I bought which I ended up not even bringing to the event I got it for because of the melted icing. TLDR: product wasn't ready at the time it was agreed upon to be ready, when product was picked up it was faulty, the manager offered a refund that never came and ghosted me

I have been watching this place since it opened and have been looking for an excuse to try it. I have noted they draw a good local crowd in the evenings.Today I was at the tail end of a fifteen mike bike ride on a breakfast of coffee. So although i planned a BBQ this afternoon I figured I needed a bite and a slice of pizza sounded good.The place is mainly take out with some tables.The menus needs work. Trying to figure the whole pizza from the sliced is not straight forward. So now I am being picky.The pizza is rectangular ah ! A good thing ! Background.. Dad was born in Detroit from parents who came from Italy near Monte Cassino.His eldest brother was born there. Mom was from the same area and came here as a kid.Pizza I ate growing up has little in relationship to New York. Chicagoenor any other U.S. popular style. Without trying to write a book on pizza lets just say that besides Petriloos in SanGabriel most pizza places Leave a Lot to be desired.I had a slice after looking over a choice of seven. Heres where the problem lies, starting with the food, it wasnt very good, i was very unimpressed, we got the baratta pizza and the cheese, the barrata was worse then the cheese, it was just so, i dont even know how to describe it without saying it was just very meh, and then the cheese on the cheese pizza was like just not good at all. The second thing that i wanted to say was that the price was like so unreasonable, I asked for 4 slices, 3 barrata and 1 cheese. The staff cut off the slices, heated them up, put them in the box and then took me to the register and the total came out to be 40 dollars, yes that is with a tip of 20%, but thats an insane price for 4 slices of pizza. Anyways, yah thats it for my rant, I know rent there is high and there isnt a whole lot of costomers all year long but like come on, that pizza tasted like dirt. :/ read more

Been to Zero Zero Pizza in Huntington Beach a couple times now, and it's becoming one of those "solid, reliable" spots in the rotation. This visit I had the Caprese slice and my wife went with the mushroom and sausage. Both were good across the board. Sauce had nice flavor, not overly acidic, and the crust held up well--even reheated, it kept a decent crisp which is harder than it sounds. Yes, i have personally experienced a few air fryer mini-fires in my reheating adventures. Not mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable slices. We also tried the caprese salad--again, solid. Fresh, balanced, nothing over the top but it works. Where this place really stands out is the vibe. The interior has a cool, laid-back feel with fun decor that gives it personality without trying too hard. Easy place to hang out. Service has consistently been great--friendly high school kids who actually seem to care and keep things moving. Bottom line: good pizza, good people, great atmosphere. First, how you can compare real pizza from Rome to a "whole large pizza" from Domino or whatever ....???? Do these guys know where the flour arrives from? Doppio Zero flour is imported and certified top quality flour... something that, living here from 2 years...it is like a dream! Second....someone suggested Mozza... yes, Mozza has good pizza... when I go there and I buy pizza for the family, I spend (take out... if you dine in you leave your credit card...) around 50 dollars.... this evening I spent 24 .... The only worry I have to be honest ... it is that Doppio Zero will become so popular in the Clean Eaters community in HB that... it will be too crowded!!! and I will have to wait too much! But... I lived in Italy for 33 years and ran a Rome-based film business for 18 years. Both my children were born and raised in Italy. I've eaten the best pizza in the world in Naples, Rome and Milan. So I humbly feel qualified to review Zero Zero 39 Pizzeria: Their pizza is indeed authentic, made with quality ingredients and always fresh. To be clear, this is Rome style pan pizza that has a light medium-thick crust. The only thing that I would suggest is that customers wake up and stop asking for non-authentic ingredients like chicken and pepperoni. There is no pasta or pizza anywhere in Italy with chicken. And pepperoni is a New York invention - non existent in Italy. These are both American bastardizations of Italian food. Instead, wise up and try the gorgonzola and radicchio pizza - my personal favorite. By the way according to my wife, their tiramisu is the bomb. read more

pizza, pizza, pizza.... who doesn't love pizza? is just like tacos, you can eat them all day & never get tired, so many options, so many flavors, so many to choose from, love the pizzas at zerozero39, the ingredients are always full of flavor, fresh & with taste. The dough is also great, the marinara sauce, etc. Everything is great here, not to mention the staff, always ready to assist you with anything.... I love this place! Since moving to Huntington Beach, ZeroZero39 Pizzeria has become my go-to spot. Their Roman-style pizzas, made with imported doppio zero flour, are consistently amazing. I rotate between three different pizzas, and all are fantastic. The slice-ordering option is perfect for my smaller appetite, and the quality is always top-notch. I don't know why some people can not withstand criticism, I posted a 3 star review for this Pizza place the other day and I started receiving confronting messages from this business owner. I am sorry guys but they should use their energies in improving the Pizza Quality instead of bullying people who are posting less than 5 star reviews!! Try serving Fresh pizza and than I promise I will be the first one giving you 5 stars! But for my recent experience and mean messages from the business owner! You guys deserve one star! I can't into words how genuinely impressed I am with the interaction I've had with the owner and the staff. Atop the food I ordered, it was not just a sublime experience, it was an incredibly satisfying one. The Truffle Porcini came slightly short with the taste I'm expecting but it is still delicious. I would be lying if I said I don't want a second-serving because I really wanted to! I was already full when it came into mind lol. Zero Zero is hands down the best authentic Italian pizza in Huntington Beach. Everything tastes fresh and high-quality, and the vibe is always welcoming. Best pizza i have ever had outside the family. Very very goodcrust hand formed . Toppingas are well though out classic pairings. This is not a build your own kind of place but a serious attempt at raising the quality of pizza to new levels.Our families favorite had beenpetrillos in San Gabriel which is very good. This place is very dfferant , limited sewting, limite menus but wha they do. They do well.The owersrun the place and are from Rome Italy. Thie passion is in the pizza. read more

Amazing customer service from the owner. Quality is what they strive for here and it shows. The pizza is by far the best I've ever had. Not too greasy. Perfect crust. perfect cheese and sauce ratio. And just An amazing experience over all. And the cannoli was very tasty and the presentation was lovely. 72 h for dough ???? i saw them make it on a spot where is the 72hours ? pasta disgusting old. DO NOT GO. I got sick !!!! the owner trying to be funny is just a one big joke. Dint try to be funny just light, honest and good. did anyone verified this organic stuff. I don't see certificate seal on the door. Time to call FDA to see if they got certified. I came here while on spring break. They run some really good specials! The owners were the sweetest people over. The crust had a great crunch on the outside but was nice and soft on the inside. They offer a good amount of choices for flavors. Slices are much bigger than a normal round pizza. Definitely a good place to grab lunch at Huntington Beach. read more

This is a great spot to grab a slice of pizza. The location is a little bit hidden by the Starbucks but this is definitely a place were finding. The spices are large and the quality is there. I really like the truffle pizza but we also ended up getting some of the combo slices and those are great too. Looking forward to the next visit read more

Amazing pizza!!! You can taste the quality ingredients. This is now my favorite pizza and calzoni. The staff were very friendly and the pizza looked really good so i got some and the lady working even threw in an extra bit of pizza for me! Definitely a must go if you're in the area. Some of the worst, most disgusting pizzas I've ever had! Incredible this place is still in business? Greasy nasty gross pizza they cut with a pair of scissors!?! Sad that people think this is good!
