Get Breakfast. I've been twice: once for breakfast and once for dinner. Breakfast was 4 of 5 stars. Solid place to go for breakfast. Dinner was 2 of 5 stars. Was pleasantly surprised by this new little joint. I do think the old school diner theme is a bit cheesy, but the food was spot on. I ordered the meaty cheesy burger and it was HUGE and delicious. Only complaint is that the bread was maybe grilled a bit too much making it hard to bite into. My husband had the walleye tacos and thought they were great. The kids cup my son got was so small it was funny. Probable appropriate for a toddler but when they kids are 9, they should maybe upgrade the cup size to keep there servers from having the constantly refill. I've been to Ze's a number of times. Food is only average, nothing special, but Prior Lake has only one other restaurant that serves breakfast. Ze's was full except for a 5 person booth that was empty. We were a party of 3, which included my 85 yr old father with bad knees. We were refused the booth and told there would be a 15 minute wait. There was no place to wait comfortably. I asked to speak with the manager, and the manager refused to sit the 3 of us in the 5 person booth. The manager chose to have us leave rather than sit us in the empty booth that was not making them any money. Well, we left and will not be returning, ever. My 2 adult children & their families live in Prior Lake. My husband & I have lived in PL for 42 years...No more Ze's for us. They've lost customers and word-of-mouth is a powerful thing. The atmosphere exudes a hometown 50's-60's feel. When your business model is to merely unlock the front door and the customer traffic hums and sustains through word of mouth, something special just happened. That's all fine and dandy, but I haven't covered the food, right? Well, let me get to that right now. Absolutely, the best biscuits and gravy in the whole Twin Cities Metro Area. And yes, doubting Thomas, I have tried them all. The previous reigning King of breakfast (Lily's Cafe (previously Henry's)) has been dethroned. I have enjoyed everything I have ordered across multiple visits. From Omelettes, and Corned Beef Hash to Burgers and Fries. I have yet to be disappointed. Now, if you are looking for gourmet cuisine, or even use those words in casual conversation, this place is probably not your style and you'd be better off making reservations at Kincaid's. We devoured our Cajun omelette and pancakes! Portions are large, food is fresh and there was even some homemade jam for the toast. Loved every bite and service was great, we will be back soon! Came here to find good eggs benedict after our local restaurant was flooded out of business. This place was wonderful. Clean. Excellent friendly service. The eggs benedict and steak benedict for my husband were wonderful. Big portions, good meat and nice brown hash browns. They even scrambled eggs for me instead of serving the poached ones. Prices are fair. We drive 35 miles for breakfast, so that in itsself says something as well. Too many town diners have closed, leaving few morning options these days except Perkins and fast food. read more

When you pull up to the diner, you really don't think it's much. But when you walk in you get that sense of close family owned food feel. Staff greets you when you walk in and immediately asks what you'd like to drink. Since i wasn't from here i asked what would you recommend. They gave me great choices but went with the Cajun breakfast. The scrambled eggs covered with their Cajun sauce and spice was right now point. Had a great kick to it didn't need any hot sauce really for it. The grilled onions peppers and mushrooms were really good. Nothing was over cooked or under how i like it. The house jam was really on point with my toast. Overall I'd give it a 4.2 out of 5. One of my top five small breakfast diners i have been to in nearly 20 years. read more

Great little cafe in Prior Lake! Lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The falafel hummus appetizer is really good. I think they kind of specialize in Greek/Mediterranean cuisine here. I had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the steak was thick and actually had some pink to it. None of the shaved beef crap you typically get. Fresh onions and green peppers grilled to perfection. I will definitely have that again. My daughters had burgers and both really enjoyed the burgers. The fries here look homemade and were very crisp and flavorful. My daughters both had malts and really enjoyed those. Prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit if in the Prior Lake area. read more

My friends and I went here after pulling an all nighter. We came here about five minutes after they opened at 7 (I know, it was probably kind of annoying but we were STARVING). We sat outside because of COVID. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly. Our food came super quick, and it was delicious. I got the Gyro Omelette, and it was soooo good. I recently just got back in town and I saw this location was brand new. I went in to check it out and try the food. I was very pleased with the design inside of the restaurant but the food was very underwhelming and bland. I could have gone to the McDonald's down the street and get cheaper and more flavorful food.
