So I've become a super fan of this establishment right here and it's mind blowing to me because I grew up on Mr. Greek always Mr. Greek for my gyros and philly cheese steaks! But nooooooooo not anymore. Zeus has the title as it stands! So this mixed plate that they serve up is on point. The chicken is definitely the star of the show, due to the fact that the chicken is so flavorful and the char that they put on it sets your taste buds over the top, the gyro meat is pretty standard, always get mine well done gives the gyro meat a nice little crisp to it. The rice that you can get with the plate is alright as well, seasoned ok, and I appreciate the salad as well with its lite Greek dressing they drizzle over it. Comes with a slice of pita but you would probably want another. Also suggest adding feta to the salad. All in all when I'm back home visiting Chicago I come here to get my Greek fix located smack dab in the middle of the city you can get there easy from all parts. One day I'll try more menu items, but when I've found my fix at a restaurant it's pretty much that. (Corona P.S.) If anything I would come back just for the huge portion sizes. I had a nice food coma after eating the gyro plate for lunch. Somehow, there were still enough leftovers for me and my girlfriend to eat a healthy-sized dinner. The gyro plate comes with rice, pita bread, and a salad. The rice, pita bread, and salad complement the salty goodness of the gyro really well. I really like the Italian vinaigrette they used on the salad, it was refreshing. The simple salad had just enough variety to be interesting, with some tomatoes, cucumbers, and sliced red onions (it wasn't just straight up iceberg lettuce). We also got a side of fries - the crinkle cut fries reminded us of childhood and they heat up very nicely in the air fryer. Depending on your preference the fries may even be better after being air fried, since they get crispier. Solid run of the mill fries, not much else to say. Picking up the order from grubhub was super easy. It's pretty small inside and there may be other customers waiting for their order, but you can just go up to the cashier to pick up your order. If you're particularly cautious regarding Covid-19 exposure I would recommend ordering during non-lunch rush hours or ordering delivery. read more

How about actually taking your time understanding what the customers are saying to you and not rush them off the phone. I wasn't even able to ask how long the order would take due to her rushing me off the phone. I then go in to pick up my order and the girl is talking to me with barrier set up and no mask on despite the clear sign at the entrance that says "no mask service". How about "no mask no business"?? I have had this place several times. I use to get the chicken outs but that has fallen off. Now I'm "trying" healthier options and I've fallen in love with the chicken breast salad. The gyro is good here. The portion sizes are ridiculous. You basically have to eat gyro meat off the top for 5 minutes before you can successfully pick up the pita. The meat is rich, juicy, and craveable. Everything else is not very good. The fries / onion rings / etc. are all frozen. The cashiers / service people are borderline rude. Both times I've visited, I went ~15-20 minutes after their opening time and they were late opening because the cashiers were getting frappuccinos. Seriously, the same thing happened both times. They also got snippy with me when I asked for extra napkins, and wanted to argue with me when they misunderstood my order (which was seriously not a big deal, they just left my drink order off my first ticket... but they wanted to argue with me about it). Such a wonderful staff of genuinely friendly people and I highly recommend their scrumptious gyros! I had to do a few errands in Greektown this past Friday and I walked right in placed my order and for only $9.99 I received a very generous portion of clean tasting and fresh lamb meat with a side of homemade yogurt and cucumber dill sauce that was obviously prepared on premises.
