I like their sandwiches. It has a grilled beef patty, onions, pickle, cheese and mustard toasted in Rye bread. It was pretty good and tasty. I can really taste its flavors and seasoning. It was savoring and you will definitely order again if you try this one. Their Mozzarella Sticks with Marinara Sauce was big. The Mozzarella Sticks were cheese and the cheese was not salty. The seasoning and the flour on it was pretty good. I just don't like their Marinara sauce. For me it is not perfect or not good to dip in this sauce. I must prefer some mayonnaise or it has no sauce. They serve ALOT for the dinner plates. I got a mixed plate with rice and it was really good. The pita bread is especially delicious. I wish I would've gotten a gyro instead, though. I couldn't eat all of the dinner plate. My boyfriend had the gyro plate, and together it was about $21. Not expensive at all considering how much food we ate. They also only have RC products, so I got pink lemonade. The area was pretty accessible too. We parked down the street at a Pay and Park. This place was really clean. The ambiance was chill. Their counter was really clean also. You can choose the food in their menu at the top part of the counter. They have a different variety of foods and drinks. One of my favorites was Mozzarella Sticks that served with Marinara Sauce. The seasoned flour was good. It tastes really great. The Marinara Sauce also tastes great. Even if you don't dip the mozzarella sticks on sauce it will also be so good since it's cheesy and delicious. I think some of their dishes were also good. An awesome Greek spot with speedy service and delicious food!! We stopped in on a Friday night. Most people seem to order take-out as there was ample seating available. We ordered the gyro plate and a chicken kabob sandwich. Almost immediately after we sat down, the food was ready. The portions were huge for the prices we paid! The gyro and chicken were so tender and flavorful! It paired very well with the tzatziki sauce. I recommend getting the fries with your order-- they were very crispy! As good as Zeus was (and dirt cheap always fits for me), it won't take me away from my closer 'hood spots, Niko's Gyros and Falafel & Grill. Incredibly, $7 for the combo at Zeus (gyro loaded to the hilt, what amounts to a small order of McDonald's salty fries and nearly uncarbonated RC Cola) is hefty compared to the prices at Niko's/Falafel, where I can get out for $6 depending on when I go and the combo I order. That said, Zeus does the meat and the pita just right...but the gyro meat in this town is so close on quality (even Covo, pricier than all three of these, is great in the meat department) that I would never drive out of my way to hit this spot. But if I'm a UIC student and get 10% off and live really close by? Totally different. The divey interior was comfy and we got to watch CNN break down the Duck Dynasty "controversy" while throwing down our meal. Note--for true value, get the platter; a friend of mine ordered the combo dinner plate, and for $8, you can live like a filthy king. Don't come to Zeus for the fine china... They do serve your meal on a plate, but the utensils are made of plastic and you have a blue plastic tray underneath. Don't come to Zeus for the decor. The checkered floors are walls are enough to make Alice cringe. Don't come to Zeus for the service. After he fixes your plate he's gonna put it on the counter and yell out what it is, its on you to get it before it gets cold. Don't come to Zeus during certain time periods thinking that you will get your food fast, it just isn't happening. Don't come to Zeus on a Friday or Saturday night past midnite and think you'll get good service or a clean bathroom. Not after the crowd from Spectrum leaves out especially. What you should go to Zeus for is quality and delicious Greek food at a really cheap price. I haven't had a bad meal here yet. The meat is of good quality. This place is not nearly as known as either of the two spots on the corners nearby, but I can assure you its much better. This is one of the spots locals know about and try to keep it secret. It was a late dinner after a long bus ride from Ann Arbor, MI. We walked from the Greyhound station in search of some good filling food and came across this joint. We each ordered a chicken kebab sandwich and shared a plate of fries with feta cheese. The chicken kabab sandwich was ok. The chicken kebab was a grilled chicken breast that had been sliced. It was a little dry, but the tomatoes and sauce balanced it out. The plate of fries with feta cheese was pretty tasty and definitely of good value. It was a huge plate! The place is kinda divey (nothing wrong with divey, but just fyi), and service was meh, but the food hit the spot. I'd go back for that giant plate of fries with feta (what a good combo)! read more

I was going to head to Mr. Greeks when I saw Zeus. Outside it smells greasy as hell; However, this place is well-ventilated. Also, it's very clean and well-kept. The food was delicious. We got the #1 gyros in a pita with a fries and drink combo. We had to dig under the wealth of beautiful brown gyros meat that had been layed out for us. Seriously, we couldn't even see the pita (this is good, trust us). Tomatoes and onions topped the gyros, and last but not least a healthy serving of creamy tzatziki that was so delicious and refreshing. However no one in a gyros store is there for 'healthy' so a bit more tzatziki wouldn't have gone amiss. The fries were fried well and were crispy on the out and soft on the in, but could have used a good salting fresh out of the frier. By the time it hit our table the table salt wouldn't stick.
