I have eaten at this resturant several times. I went this past week and was disappointed. The food was good, but it seems the celebration dessert you will recieve has been downgraded. This was only 6 months ago.

Came for my birthday and Service was 15/10. Amazing views of the city and mountains. Warm hospitality and they really went above and beyond for us. The grass fed filet was so good it didn't even need the Bernaise sauce. Would come back for any big events.

Excellent meal and service. I'm nit a steakhouse fan. I don't really care for fine dining TBH. I usually walk away still hungry and salty that the meal cost so much lol. This was not the case @ J & G. We had dinner here and my husband had to twist my arm to agree to eat here. It had been a long time since I'd been to a really nice restaurant and I forgot how nice it was to have such great service. We were greeted and escorted by a lovely hostess to our table as soon as we arrived for our reservation. Our server appeared shortly after & took our drink order and provided some info about the menu. She took our food order and checked on us periodically while we waited. She was a great and attentive server and we never even had to ask for refills. Our food was brought out within a very reasonable amount of time. Plated beautifully and prepared perfectly. My husband had the fillet mignon and I had the halibut. We shared the grilled asparagus, roasted mushrooms & Yukon mashed potatoes. I was actually so full I had to take majority of the asparagus to go. I did however manage to share the warm chocolate lava cake w my hubby. It was served w a delicious scoop of caramel ice cream w a light salt layer underneath. I must admit, I enjoyed myself far more than I thought I would. Tye food was delicious, service wonderful and the experience was worth the extra money.

I was able to have a wonderful dinner with my daughter to continue celebrating my 50th birthday on our first night here at The Phoenician. Austin and Cory provided exceptional service. A beautiful venue with a stunning view! The meal was perfect! I highly recommend!

I was here for work a week or so back. A great place whose food is on par with the ambiance! Service was impeccable. The food tasted as good as it looked. There's really nothing negative I could say! The views at night are incredible at sunset. The entire dining area overlooks the resort in an elevated position. Amazing experience!

The food is always phenomenally prepared! The caviar and foie gras! Yum! Also the view is really gorgeous!

We had a large dinner party of around 20 girls come on a Sunday. The service was great and prompt. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. I ended up going for the peppercorn steak which I ultimately regretted. The peppercorn was insanely overpowering and also had way too thick of chunks, so it was kind of inedible. I also ordered sides like the potatoes and mac & cheese, but unfortunately, they never made it to the table. I think they were forgotten. My friends, however, got the prefix menu which I was able to taste and actually really enjoyed. I thought their steak was a lot better than mine. Other than that, the drinks were really good and so is the company which was more important overall.

We walked in around 6 PM on a Friday night and there was no availability except for the seats at the bar and lounge area which, in my opinion, were actually stellar seats because they were up against the windows with a gorgeous view of the sunset over the city. Not upset about it at all! Daniel really made the experience at JNG steakhouse. I had several dietary requests and Daniel was totally chill about accommodating all of them. We ordered the grass fed boneless ribeye, a ton of veggies, and the Kabocha squash soup, which was my favorite! I loved the coconut cream and toasted coconut flakes on top and am now inspired to try a recipe like this at home. The espresso martini has also made it into my top three in the city - thx Gabe! They use a vanilla infused vodka, which really adds a unique flavor. Overall, a lovely impromptu dining experience after a day at the spa.

Came here for dinner last night, the food was really really good! I had the shrimp to start, they were really fresh. Then had the 12oz fillet steak with broccoli, cooked to perfection! And managed to squeeze in a peach Melba desert which was equally as delicious. Hunter our waiter was fantastic! The restaurant was beautiful, I really enjoyed the dim lighting, a very relaxing vibe. Thank you

I came with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is very classy with beautiful views of the resort and mountains from the patio. We were greeted with a smile by the restaurant host, Tom. Tom was very nice and sat us immediately. Our sever, Chris, was simply outstanding. We were never left waiting for service. Chris was very knowledgeable, made great suggestions from the menu and a kind and pleasant person. Two of us ordered filets which were cooked perfectly medium. The other two in our party ordered the salmon which they said was cooked spot on. The sides we ordered included scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach. Both were tasty and not overly heavy. For desert, Chris brought the green apple cobbler! Yummy! We thought the dinner was delicious and the restaurant was the perfect atmosphere for a special birthday dinner. We will definitely be back.

What a wonderful place to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The staff was fantastic attentive and professional. We had a window seat with a view of the valley lights. My husband had the filet mignon perfectly cooked I had the grilled lobster delicious with a smokey flavor. Our desert was gifted and consisted of molten chocolate cake with caramel ice cream. Very pleasant meal. It was our first visit and it won't be our last.

For apps we got the lamb fondue which was super tender and unique. Dipping meet in cheese? Literally nothing better. Then we also got the green chili pork stew which is a MUST try! Not too spicy and full of flavor. Also, great for sharing as you fill it in the buttery tortillas. The filet was seriously one of the best I've ever had in Arizona. It has a nice shallot butter crust and it was cooked PERFECTLY medium rare. This was a highlight. The pork chop is huge and has a nice sweetness to it. The meat wasn't dry either...it pretty much tasted like the best bacon I've ever had LOL Everyone must get the green chili Mac n cheese. Not spicy at all just Smokey and tangy and full of cheese but shockingly not that heavy. The pecan pie was unreal. Gooey and sweet but the crust was still super flakey. The brownie skillet was soft in the middle which is how it always should be. Their known for their frozen huckleberry margarita which is a treat in its own but it's not too icey they definitely don't skip out on the tequila. Rachel was our server. She's been there for awhile so you know that they treat their staff well. She was super knowledgeable and honest about certain menu items. I also spoke with the manager, Matt, who was very welcoming and seemed very proud of his restaurant (as he should be). Overall highly reccomend it here. Everything exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely be returning!

The host told us that there was open seating along the wall or under cover outside. Since the wall was full, we ventured outside near the cooler. We were given water right away but didn't even see a server, Jessica, for 12 mins. We even had to ask her for menus. It was a very awkward start. My wife ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and a Caesar salad, plus wine while I got the 22 ounce Ribeye and a side of Poblano and PepperJack Grits, plus an iced tea. It all came to $137.11 plus tip. Our salad arrived in 8 minutes and our dinner 10 mins later. The salad was outstanding. Plenty of romaine, dressed with the right amount of dressing, 3-4 croutons and a mound of shaved Parmesan cheese. The salmon was really good, served with sautéed green beans and soy butter. My steak was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned well and the grits were incredible. They were creamy, with pronounced poblano and Jack cheese. It was the perfect accompaniment. Jessica did a great job checking in on us during our meal but, again, it was awkward waiting 15 mins for her to offer dessert and check. We will return but perhaps not during happy hour, when it's very busy but the evening staff hasn't arrived yet.

I checked us in for our reservation and the hostess welcomed us in, then promptly took us to the table that had been beautifully prepared for our dining experience. She asked if the lighting was too dim, but it was perfect. Every staff member was dressed neatly and welcomed us as we walked by. No staff members were running around frantically, and I could tell they are staffed amazingly well. So organized and kind, genuinely smiling at us. I could tell that anyone would be willing to help us, if we needed them! Our waiter, Daniel, came over and again, welcomed us. He let us know the specials of the night and how dinner will be served. Let us know not to touch the 500 degree plates when they arrived. He took out drink orders and answered any question we had. He promptly came back with drinks and fresh, hot rolls!! Daniel took our dinner orders. We all sat and visited while waiting, enjoying our drinks and the hot rolls. Dinner was served on, as promised, hot plates!! Then, they served each of us the crème brûlée corn. All of us that ordered meat, asked for medium rare and we were not disappointed!! Our meats were spot on!!! Perfection!!! The petite filet mignon were very juicy and delicious, as was the New York strip. The Crispy Hasselback Potatoes were so good, especially with the topping. The Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs were so good!!! I feel like our meals were simple yet divine!! After we enjoyed dinner, we were served the Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake, on the house!! What a nice touch!! So yummy and it felt guilty eating such a fabulous dessert!! We all shared it! All in all, I wish I could give 10/10 stars!! Such a wonderful dinner experience!! The architecture is stunning, the setting feels tucked away and peaceful, and parking was easy with plenty of space available. We were seated immediately at a corner table surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, which made the entire experience feel bright and inviting. One detail that really stood out to me was the quality of the restaurant itself. Even the tables were heavy, solid, and beautifully made. It sounds like a small thing, but those thoughtful details made the space feel intentional and elevated. The food was absolutely to die for. Every dish at the table impressed us, the cocktails were excellent, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared without being pretentious. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

Instead, we were publicly embarrassed and treated like criminals for absolutely no reason. After we were seated, I closed the curtain because the table next to us was loud and obnoxious. Minutes later, the manager, Hannah, walked over and decided our entire group was "too intoxicated" to be served. Not a single person in our group was causing a scene, being disrespectful, or acting out of control. We were sitting at our table, ordering dinner. What makes this even more ridiculous is that after taking our drink order, Hannah personally brought out three green tea drinks in champagne glasses. Then, almost immediately afterward, she decided we were somehow too intoxicated to stay. Which is it? If we were supposedly too drunk to be there, why were drinks being served in the first place? We had already ordered what would have been around a $700 meal, and instead of being treated with basic respect, we were stereotyped because we were a bachelorette party. It felt like Hannah had already made up her mind before giving us any chance to prove otherwise. Restaurants absolutely have the right to refuse service to genuinely intoxicated guests. What they should not do is make assumptions based on the type of celebration or the size of a group. This wasn't responsible service--it was poor judgment, inconsistent management, and an incredibly embarrassing way to treat paying customers. We'll happily spend our money somewhere that values its guests instead of profiling them. !!! DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! We ended up at ZUZUs, they treated us with respect and dignity. Food was 10/10.

They all went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied. We had the Summer Menu. Filet mignon 6 oz with the Lobster Mac n Cheese. From the original menu we ordered the Boneless Ribeye 14 oz. Oh my goodness!! The flavors. The meat temperature came as requested. The juiciness. The way the butcher precisely cut the meat perfectly. The cook. Everyone and everything was above and beyond the explanation with words. The atmosphere was full of joy. People laughing and enjoying themselves. You want to dress nice here. Dressy / casual. It also was our anniversary. They treated us as King and Queen. (As they did everyone). But they made sure to wish us happiness. We even got an extra delicious dessert. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. I know we will be back.

The cheesy potato's were good, and the ceviche was really good. I enjoyed the knife picking and the different selection. Drinks were good and there was a large variety. Atmosphere was great and the outside seating was perfect in March. Phenomenal service. We enjoyed feeling pampered. Heads up- strict dress code. It was spring training and several individuals were turned away for not wearing appropriate attire. Read the website before coming. We enjoyed it and left full and buzzed. Perfect for a Saturday night after a day of fly fishing.

The service we received was superb, and our food came out in a timely manner. We ordered the Hickman Deviled Eggs to start and WOW!! They definitely put their own twist on these bad boys!! They are plated beautifully and taste even better! I chose the Pick Two option for lunch and I was very satisfied. I was a bit worried when someone mentioned the brisket was dry.. although I had a tiny part of one that was dry, the rest of it was juicy and tender. Yummm!!! The Prime Brisket and Pulled Pork were perfectly cooked and d went well with the Sweet Potato Fries. My coworker got the Snitch Burger and even though the bun was on the thick side, it was a tasty burger! Prices are reasonable and parking isn't an issue. This place has a very casual vibe with the bar seating on one side and the dining room on the other. Give it shot and hop on The Joy Bus at Bootleggers Modern American Smokehouse!
