Was my first time trying Zingster's today. The restaurant was very clean, as well as the bathroom kept up and stocked. Nice theme and decorative. The cashier at the front was super cool and helpful. He made sure we were taken care of and offered extra sauces etc... (most places try to charge you for that) I got the combo that included the chicken sandwich and smash burger. They were both fresh and balanced. Not too salty like other comparable spots. I do think they can improve on their bread they used for the chicken sandwich. But I give the sandwich a 7.8/10 and smash burger a 7/10. Overall I give this spot 5 stars total because of the customer service. read more

First impression review. Staff is very polite. The food is some of the best (even though my stomach hates me for indulging them). However, some of the patrons can be very arrogant and condescending. The food was delicious and well-seasoned. It's surprisingly hard to find good fried halal chicken places and I think Zingster's does a fantastic job. I've been here twice already after my stop at Qamaria, and the food has been fresh and well-made each time. The menu to order is placed pretty high, the ordering options were a bit confusing at a first, and the service was average, but given the food is great, those things weren't a big deal. Really like the chicken and rice plate. I got "no spice" and it was still quite savory and nowhere near bland. Mom got "mild" and it was too hot for me, but it is Nashville chicken so that makes sense. Coleslaw was good and Mom's chicken sandwich came on a nice sesame seed bun. My husband liked his smash burger. We all had fountain drinks. Their sauces are good and taste homemade. It was about $50 for the three of us. Staff were nice! I will say bring a sweater as the air conditioning was excessively cold. We will keep it in mind for future trips. Nice Yemeni coffee/dessert place right in the same complex. Zingster's had two flavors of milkshakes that we didn't try but looked interesting- that fancy green chocolate and a bischoff flavor. Can't go wrong with the chicken - fresh and nice! read more

Congratulations on the opening! I ordered the Zing 1 meal. Light touch of butter could be added to the buns to give it some more flavor. Try experimenting with different buns as well (Brioche / Potato). Onions can be more caramelized to make its sweetness pop out from the sandwich. Chicken breast's flour coating could be less, so that there's more mouthfeel to the meat. Sauce is good! Fries can be seasoned less. I like the zest and sauces on the side though. I'd include a napkin and a cup as well when a meal is ordered. Hoping to see this restaurant become popular soon. read more

New restaurant close to work, so we gave it a try. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, only one guy ahead of us who had already ordered. By the time we got our food, there were 5 or so people queued behind us waiting for their food. It took 25 minutes to receive my order of the Zinger 2 Volcano chicken sandwiches (just the sandwiches), which is not good. Mind you, it was as quiet and serene as a church in there, so it wasn't like the kitchen was swamped. My friend said the wait was just as long the first time he came, so that is a bad trend. BTW, upon ordering and receiving the Volcano sandwiches, I wasn't asked to sign the waiver they mention on the overhead menu. Anyway, to the sandwiches. They were decent size, not huge, but adequate. In contrast, the Zinger 1 sandwich, and the piece of breast meat used, is huge. They came with two different sauces on the side, which I appreciate, but neither was a showstopper. Each Zinger 2 sandwich had a single chicken thigh, fried and coated with a red paprika-looking dry rub, a few pickles, some cole slaw, and a light sauce. The guy at the counter said the Volcano heat level is based on the Carolina Reaper (CR) pepper, FYI. Indeed, it is CR pepper, but unfortunately, the seasoning was a bit unevenly distributed. Some parts of the chicken were relatively mild, and others had a strong concentration of the CR seasoning, which was not very pleasant. Aside, the Dave's Hot Chicken version of the Volcano (called the Reaper) also uses CR pepper and it is a better sandwich, IMO. There's a bit more heat on the Dave's sandwich and better application of the seasoning. Because of the uneven distribution of the seasoning on the Zingers, I tossed out the last bit of one of the sandwiches. From the long wait and the uneven seasoning on the sandwiches, I can't say that I'll be back. On the upside, the cost was reasonable ($15 out the door), the place seemed clean and the cashier guy was cool. Perhaps the other items are magic on a bun, so there's that. For me, though, I'll probably always veer to TeeChow next door. read more
