It is so exciting having this restaurant in this location in Malibu. This location has been vacant for over 20 years! The renovation was amazing and the place is beautiful and already has a wonderful vibe! We just went this evening and it was only their second day open! Given that, you would expect there to be some kinks to be worked out. Coordinating the kitchen, the servers and the bar is no easy task. The place was packed and they did not expect such a crowd on a Sunday night. There were a few service issues, but ya know what- it's their second day and they are doing just fine. We loved the ambience with several different options on where to dine we chose the outdoor patio which was comfortable and quiet:) our server was great and very knowledgeable and attentive! We shared a couple flat breads , the goat cheese and zucchini was delish and avocado salad was great, we did ask for a little extra balsamic vinaigrette on the side. I so wish I didn't need to leave a negative review but I went there today by myself to have lunch and the service was dreadful! It wasn't incredibly busy with lots of open tables. I was invisible! I was sat inside at one of the smaller tables in the middle of the room and the servers walked by me about a million times to take care of the tables outside. I literally nearly had to tackle someone and ASK if I could order some food. Then the brought my meal but NEVER asked if I wanted something to drink. Bearded young "dude" bartender is a certifiable SOB. I sat there listening to him SH%^talk all his customers after they leave, to other customers at the bar. "Yeah that guy came in last week and he was so..." "That girl is half his age and she got..." And to scam his customers, he automatically sets his TIP @ 20% when you get his iPad bill. You have to physically retap to change it. Walked out of there with a $30 bill for one martini and disgusted with all his low level talk. I have to get up and down from my seat, and be my own waitress. Wait to tip, you may choose to just tip yourself. You order a croissant with butter and jam. You get a cold croissant. SO BAD, I WOULD NOT FEED MY DOG!!!!! UNEDIBLE! After a Sunday hike, I decided to visit Zinque in Malibu with my Golden Retriever. I ordered LE BOWL with cauliflower rice. What came out was such poor quality that a 7-11 would be considered gourmet. The CHICKEN was shredded, fatty and dark meet. It didn't not even look like chicken! I'm not sure it was to this day. ( please see attached photographs) I removed the chicken thinking i would just feed it to my dog but so unappetizing was it that I was afraid it would make him sick. Never in my 20 years of dog ownership have I refused my dog leftovers. Even the server was taken aback by the chicken. He didn't offer me white meat or a refund, he just nodded it looked pretty bad. I'll also add the cauliflower rice was crunchy and cold and the cheese was cubes of poor grade something. This was the WORST MEAL I HAVE HAD IN YEARS. And it is not cheap. Whar a joke read more

It was okay, went there for Christmas Eve, server's attitude is meh, and strange thing is we were sat in a separate dark room away from the front brightly lit section, and I started to notice all the parties that started to be seated in the same room with us were all Asians, whereas the outside brightly lit area visible to the street were not.
