Steak-Frites Grass Fed Wagyu Burger & Fries

This is the best little gem of malibu for a delicious meal, laid back vibe, and convenient shopping in the store connected to their restaurant. The steak frites has got to be the best in the city. I do not say that lightly! They're super nice here, you pick your own seating and order from a qr code. I never feel rushed and it's one of the least pretentious places in malibu. They also have great mezcal. Love this place now that I live ten minutes away. Thank you Zinque!!!

We came to Zinque for a quick late brunch on Sunday and had a lovely time. I've been to only the DTLA Zineque while it was my first time here at the Malibu location. Parking was super plentiful on a weekend which was great. It was also easy to make a reservation on OpenTable. Once we were seated, we took outdoor seating and the wait staff/front of house was super helpful/kind. One small feedback note is that they seemed a little slow on service at the outset. However, it was easy for me to flag down one of the staff members to help take our orders. We got a few delicious items. The quiche lorraine in particular was solid and pretty big. We loved how custard-y the quiche was and the fries we asked to be extra crispy which was great. We also got the sunrise juice which was refreshing (could even be stronger on the ginger for us) and the avocado toast (loved how it was a play on pan con tomate (although wish it was a bit bigger). Vibes as with the DTLA Zinque felt modern and chill. Loved the decor and was able to bring our dog outside.

It has been awhile since I've been in this particular shopping center so I was surprised to see Zinque take over this large space. A small group of us came for bunch during a work day and overall we had a good experience. Zinque seems to be a mix of a retail store with a coffee shop, dining, with a casual customer service approach. After reviewing the menu, we ordered our food and drinks from the front kiosk. Around the corner to wait for our drinks. From there we were able to pick our seats from the vast dining area. The table shared a the olive oil cake and a berry cake/bread (I think it was a bread) where the olive oil cake was the clear favorite. For my main I went with the bacon and potato burrito. Although the burrito was on the smaller side, the taste and flavors were tasty. I wish there as some sort of side included with the burrito though. I think Zinque is here to stay in Malibu and I'd be open to coming back. The dinner menu looks enticing!

Ice cream sundae finishes off dinner nicely!

It's a solid restaurant in Malibu from food selection, drinks, service and ambiance. Zinque covers it all nicely in a time where it's difficult to check the boxes for all of these attributes of a restaurant. Keep doing what you're doing, Zinque! It's working! Parking lot available.

Happy Hour! On Monday through Friday you can pop in for some happy hour! Happy hour is 3-6pm at the bar and high tables. Happy hour consist of 12 dollar craft cocktail, discounted wine and a tapa special. Tapa specials includes you pick three for 13 dollars. We chose to get pork belly taco, pate and prosciutto flatbread. Gosh that's a lot of pork! As always our cocktails were amazing! Husband likes the beers on tap, as some of the tap beers can only be found in bottles at other places! The appetizers were good with some modifications: we found the pate tapa bread to be super hard but the staff quickly replaced the bread without any problems! Always great service at the bar!

On my FIRST visit to this establishment, in hopes to use the $20 off $60 order coupon via InKind app, I quickly changed my mind! Left immediately lol. We were trying to find the correct entrance to the restaurant, as there are multiple doors in the front (see photo). Instead of going inside to view the menu on our phones , we chose to sit outside to view. We were then approached by Alex, who seemed to be the hostess or front of house staff. She came outside to bring us menus, but we let her know that we were trying to utilize the deal/coupon. It became very clear to me that she was uninformed about the deal. Which is fine. There was apparent attitude when she realized its applicable for pickup order only. She proceeded to tell us we can't sit outside for this. Then she followed up with, "Or I guess you could, but you'd be eating out of to-go boxes and stuff." Which we were fine with. I let her know we're simply sitting outside of the restaurant trying to figure out their menu and what we should order. She responded back with attitude saying "ok I just came over to give you guys menus" with a dead straight look on her face. She then moved over to help the table adjacent to us. It was extremely unwelcoming and unfriendly. No matter the words that came out of her mouth.. it was the tone and body language. After that, we decided not to support the business and spend our money or time there. :)

Walked in and chose bar. I ordered a Tomate Fraise. It was a rich Strawberry flavor. Could probably have 3 and call it a day. Bar tender is great at explaining mixes. Good vibes

So delicious!! My friends and I came here on a Saturday morning to celebrate a birthday. We loved it! Cute and trendy ambiance. Servers were friendly and helpful. I got the toast with the tuna tartare, and we shared the toast with the smoked salmon. So delicious. We all got the Baklava latte.. this is a MUST! So good. Would highly recommend!

I love this spot for working and grabbing coffee. I'm not a huge fan of the food overall, but the breakfast is solid and the gluten-free pasta is great (except for one time when there was a bit of metal in it, which I feel is worth mentioning). The atmosphere, locals, and staff are all wonderful friendly, helpful, and peaceful. I come here almost every morning, and it's the perfect place to work on my laptop. It's quiet, has plenty of outlets, and the back area has a beautiful, relaxed vibe that makes it easy to focus.

Just had a delicious lunch here. I had the quinoa breakfast burrito. 10 out of 10! For dessert I had a slice (generously big) of their banana blueberry bread. So good, and also nicely light and not too dense. Iced coffee was first rate. All kinds of interesting retail merchandise including books and toys and art. Fun to browse. For lunch you order at the counter. Ambience is casual but thoughtfully decorated. I will be back for sure!

Eggs and gluten free toast + fries + eggs and ratatouille with ciabatta added
    Brooke W.

I had the loveliest time here for brunch. The ambiance is amazing. The fries are fantastic, and the dipping sauce for them is so good. The tiramisu coffee was also fantastic. I ordered the eggs and ratatouille, which I honestly wouldn't totally recommend on its own, but I added a ciabatta for $2, which made it AMAZING. The bread was truly fantastic -- so fresh and comforting. The ratatouille was really just chopped and sautéed eggplant and veggies, not ratatouille, but with that in mind, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. There were people brunching with friends and sitting alone working on their laptops. I'd recommend either

It's almost like a farm setting and sorta lit up like Christmas it's very beautiful with all the lights. We stopped to grab a coffee at the coffee shop there and it was honestly not that great, they were very sweet the girl working there I do remember that. But their coffee was not that great. The dinner we had was nice but it was outside and it was freezing. So we were all shivering and by the time our food came out everything was pretty cold. The entire hotel was not busy there wasn't that many people there. Kind of a shame since you think it would be since it is beautiful there. The rooms were interesting and across from each other, however I loved the little fire pit they had in the middle of the outside area going back and forth to the rooms. The kids had a blast though they had fun running back and forth and they do leave a lot of yummy snacks around which was really nice. The customer service was not bad not the best but not bad! Everyone was nice but things took extra long when it shouldn't when no one was really there. I hope next time we visit this hotel it will be busier. The oysters are fresh, and there is a nice selection. The sourdough bread is lovely, served with delicious- butter, salt and radishes and it is complimenttary which many places no longer offer. Service had issues because a couple of dishes were not what we asked for but thankfully they fixed the issues. Even still my husband tipped 100% because that is who he is. I ordered the crab claws and they should be removed from the menu. I did not send them back because we had already had several issues and at that point I decided I would only return to this location for an iced tea and shrimp cocktail if I were in the area. Most of the claws were inedible, full of black slime, dirt, and who knows what else but it was disgusting. There is no other word I can use to sugar coat this. These are not stone crab claws from Florida if that is what you are looking for but they are stone crab claw pricing. It had zero flavor, and I couldn't eat half the bunch. The sauce, however, was perfect. But I wanted to enjoy the crab, not the sauce. We had the Greek Dorade fish and for $58, it was embarrassingly tiny. Less than an appetizer portion. Not a meal. The fish itself tasted wonderful but it needs appropriate pricing, even if it is shipped from overseas. $58 made no sense for a palm-sized fish. The wedge salad is just ok. The ranch should be more elevated. I love ranch, but I did not enjoy this one at all.I will not leave less stars than 5 because I don't believe in hurting a business because I genuinely want to see this place thrive. However, I do believe in taking feedback seriously and making changes.

We went on a Saturday around 3pm after the beach and it was busy, but we still got seated right away for 2 people. We sat inside near the windows and honestly it still felt like we were part of the outdoor seating with the ocean breeze and open vibe. Our server Brandon was great..super friendly with a good attitude and made the experience even better. We started with 2 dirty martinis with goat cheese stuffed olives. I'm not a huge drink person so I can't overly critique cocktails, but they tasted like a proper martini and were made well. Apparently they're known for their martinis. Of course we got oysters..4 east coast and 4 west coast. The east coast oysters were smaller and I personally liked those more. The west coast ones were creamier and a little bigger, but both were very fresh. Food wise: * Clark's burger was simple but really good. Thick patty, cheese, amazing pickles (seriously I could eat a whole jar of those), and skinny fries that were almost chip-like. I personally would've liked the fries a tiny bit less crispy so they felt more potato-y, but still good overall. * Tuna carpaccio was delicious and came with this garlic aioli-type sauce on top that was sooo good. * The crudo plate was super refreshing with capers and this citrusy sauce that honestly stole the show. I asked for lemon on the side and squeezing that on top reallllly elevated the flavor. The sauce was so good I started dipping my tuna carpaccio into it too lol. Overall it was a vibe. Great atmosphere, fresh seafood, good service, and a really pretty setting. I'll definitely be back to try their dinner menu too. If you want outdoor seating (which I highly recommend if the weather is nice), definitely reserve ahead because that area fills up fast.

The sauce helped bring some juiciness back and balanced it out. The bluefin tuna bibimbap was pretty enjoyable. The tuna tasted fresh and the textures worked well together, but the dish could have used a little more seasoning to make the flavors pop. The perilla was a great touch though. It added a slightly minty flavor that complemented the tuna without taking over the dish. The beef short rib was easily the standout. PERFECTLY cooked, incredibly tender, and seasoned just right. The richness of the meat paired so well with the lettuce wraps that it almost feels like they should automatically come with the dish. Service was good and everything came out smoothly.
