For those who read my prior 5 Star review, this is an update. It has been over a year and Zip In Auto still takes excellent care of my 2011 Crown Victoria P7B Police Interceptor. One of the things I have learned is always ask if they can do a job before going to a "Specialty Shop". For Example : My driver's side power mirror was hit and fell off. I patched it up the best I could and was going to bring it to a dealer or another shop. Mr. Nitesh told me he could take care of it. I watched as his technician expertly replaced the mirror with a new one. I've had minor issues with the car, Which has always been handled. I had a front end issue where the steering wheel wasn't centered. After an alignment, it's now perfect. The knowledge level of Mr. Nitesh is incredible. I have seen all makes of cars come into the shop. I especially like how he insists on using Ford Motorcraft Sparkplugss on my Crown Victoria, instead of a cheap substitute. His technicians are very well trained and extremely polite and competent and are willing to answer any questions or show you the old parts. Pricing is fair and I have seen jobs that normally would take another shop 2-3 days be completed in one. The attitude of this business is Customer Service. You call, you'll probably be told to bring the car in that day. The shop is kept very clean and well organized.They even sell tires! It is a family business and you will often find Mr. Nitesh wife, Vindia, helping out on the phone. This is an honest business with integrity. There are very few 1 Star Reviews, One I noted was an exact firm price for a service job could not be given over the phone. The customer did not like that so gave the negative review. I'm still a loyal customer and still HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business. read more

The absolute NICEST auto shop I have ever encountered. As a single woman I always worry about being taken advantage of in auto shops since I know ZERO about cars except it's basic maintenance. They answered my call right away, was able to get my car looked at right away and was given advice within an hour. Overall: Reliable, timely mechanic. Fairly priced. Goes above and beyond for customer service. ===Story: I called them the day of and asked them if they had times available for an oil change for two separate cars. I called a few minutes after they opened, and they picked up immediately! The woman at the front desk was very helpful. They said that they had room and I could bring it in right then and there (this was Saturday morning). I asked about the new client special and they quoted me $40 for each (Nov 2023). In one car, they told me that there was damage to the control arm. As a woman with little knowledge about cars, mechanics can often be intimidated. They were able to explain what the issue was in a helpful and non-condescending way. It was also less intimidating because the woman at the front desk was there - I think she was the owner's wife? She was very friendly. I ran the quote by some of my friends who know way more about cars. The part was replaced with a part from the car's manufacturer and the work included a 1 year/12k mile warranty. My friends said that the labor was reasonably priced. The part was more expensive than expected, but it is the Bay Area and it was an original part with a warranty. So, maybe not the most affordable, but very reasonable and fair for this work. I appreciated their service. I also asked for my tires to be rotated, and they said they could do that during the oil change for no additional cost. I also had an issue with one of my tire pressure monitor sensors, which I had asked them to take a look at, and they said it was an easy replacement. They didn't have the part on hand, but they said that if I brought the car in the following week they would do it quickly at no cost. They said that it was quick to do. I also appreciated that I didn't feel pressured to make any of the changes that they suggested. They described the pros/cons well. With my other car, they said that I should consider replacing the brake pads but that it wasn't needed right away and could be done within the next 3 oil changes. ===Service: Goes above and beyond for customer service. ===Price: My personal experience is that their parts can be more expensive than expected, but they give you great parts that have a warranty (no aftermarket parts). However, their labor is very fairly priced and their general services are as well. ===Location: I really like that there is a big window in the waiting area so that you can see your car being worked on! The waiting area was nice and clean (they have a roomba in the corner, and obviously, it gets well used). There is free wi-fi. There was also free coffee and mini water bottles. read more

Good first time experience here. Quick turn-around on basic oil change and tire rotation on an old but solid Honda Accord. Nitesh, the owner, is responsive and helpful. He also organized a very helpful evaluation and fix for my Mazda's throttle body. No up-sell pressure. The waiting room and bathroom are clean, organized, with wifi and water/snacks while you wait. The large windows look right onto the shop floor so you can see your car being worked on. Old parts were returned to me. I came here for some work on my GMC Terrain a week ago. A family member used them a few times and couldn't say enough good things so I thought I'd give them a shot. Let me tell you this is one of the most honest, easy to work with, quality mechanic I've ever met. They walked me through each step and ensured I felt comfortable with the work and cost. I have a few sensors out and an evap leak and I have shopped around and they had the best price around. They had my car in and out in a matter of a couple hours. I noticed not only was my family and I a fan but judging by all the people calling and coming in it's very apparent that others felt this was a top notch place. Be careful and do your research. I am sure Nitesh and the crew do a good job, however, I think that some of the jobs they do are extremely overpriced. I was quoted around $1.2k ($743 for parts, $425 for labor) to exchange two O2 sensors and one MAF sensor. I did some research and found out that they up-charged around $300 for parts! Deciding it was too expensive, I did the job myself in about two hours and spent around $400 for the same parts they would have used. For context, I don't have a lot of car experience yet I was able to do it pretty easily. I think a seasoned car mechanic such as Nitesh could've easily done this job in 30 minutes max. $425 for a 30 minute job is absurd. Converted to an hourly rate, that would be $850 per hour! Overall, I think the $1.2k quote for this job is very overpriced and I would recommend double checking your invoice and doing some research before paying. read more

TOTALLY trustworthy. They have worked on my car before, and the last time I brought it in for transmission issues we realized they don't make the transmission anymore. As I was going to pick up the next day to bring it to a transmission shop, the owner did research on his own time and no charge and figured out that a sensor was likely the issue. He gave me the sensor description and sent me to a transmission shop down the street, who fixed it. He didn't have to do research on his own time and $ to help figure out the solution for me, but he did. Above and beyond! read more

As a young woman coming into an auto shop alone can be a testing experience (up selling, etc.) but the team here has made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process without muddying the waters in a professional manner. My car's engine overheated and the coolant was leaking and have to have it towed to this shop on July 01. They discovered that the coolant outlet flange was leaking and told me that the unbranded after market part will cost $145. I asked them to call Capitol Mazda dealer for the price of the genuine OEM part. The lady pretend to call the Capitol Mazda dealer and then told me that the genuine OEM dealer part will be more than $200 and claimed that the genuine OEM part does not come with sensor or gasket (and I have to buy them separately), and claimed that the dealer don't have that part in stock at that time and I have to leave my car in the shop to be fixed next day. I have no choices but to proceed the repair with the unbranded after market part. After they replaced that part, I repeatedly asked them to check if thermostat is good, the lady in the shop replied "if the thermostat is good, why spent money to replace it". I finally asked the mechanics who worked on it if he can check the thermostat, he replied since the fan was turning, the thermostat must be good. I told him that the fan's turning has nothing to do with the thermostat's status and asked him to touch the radiator hoses to see if thermostat is good. This mechanics is not knowledgeable on how to test the thermostat at all. On July 02, I called the Capitol Mazda dealer and found out what Zip in Auto told me was total lie. Capitol Mazda dealer told me that this genuine OEM part comes with sensor and gasket and they have that part in stock all the time, and the price of this genuine OEM part is $145. Zip In auto lied to me to push me to use the poor quality unbranded part and overly charged me on the unbranded after market part (Amazon sell it from $24 to $50), they charged me that poor quality part for the price of genuine dealer OEM part ($145). They also overly charged me $50 for the coolant (which should be less than $10). I then called the Zip in Auto on July 02, and the owner of this shop fooled me around, when I asked him which brand is that part, he cannot tell me the brand and said the part was ordered by the lady and she was not there. Overall, this shop is very dishonest and greedy. The owner posted a comment below and stated that he gave me $180 discount for the part. That's a total lie. The lady and the owner told me initially that the $180 is for diagnosis but it will be waived if I proceeded with repair. It is not a discount for the parts at all. They charged me the part for $145 and coolant for $50, and the $180 is not the discount for the parts at all, but the waived diagnosis fee after I proceeded with the repair. From the beginning, I asked the shop owner to do pressurize test on the cooling system for diagnosis, he simply pour water into the coolant reservoir tank and the coolant leak out from the coolant outlet flange, and then he said he will have to fix the leak on the coolant outlet flange before doing any pressurize testing (which he never did), and this simply pouring of the water into coolant reservoir tank costs $180 as diagnosis, and they told me that this $180 will be waived if I agree to proceed wit the repair, and this waived $180 diagnosis fee is never the discount for the parts. The owner posted "We found OEM PART from WORLD PAC which sell original dealer parts.we have the receipt and the part number.". The part this shop use is never original dealer part (I saw the box with no brand no Mazda Label or Logo on it), and Capitol Mazda dealer has that genuine OEM part, they lied to me that Capital Mazda did not have it and thus forced me to use that poor quality part. The WORLD PAC's part is never original dealer part. This shop's order from World Pac has the corresponding part number, but that did not mean it is genuine OEM dealer part, the shop owner and the lady admitting they were using the after market part from the beginning because they lied to me that the Capitol Mazda did not have that genuine OEM part in stock. They showed me the box with no Mazda label or logo on it for the after market parts. Nitesh Kumar, and his wife are very pathetic liars. I have my own evidences and recordings, and their so-called evidences presented in the BBB further proved they lied all the way (their evidences are self-incriminating against themselves). In their attached photo (submitted to BBB) for the quote from Capitol Mazda Part (dated July 01), the genuine Mazda parts costed only $116.49. They know that well but told me very different things that the genuine Mazda part at Capitol Mazda will cost more than $200 and that Capitol Mazda dealer didn't have the parts in stock (untrue). Their aftermarket part from World Pac is of unknown brand and costed at the range of $23 to $45, but they charged me $145 and later claimed that their parts from World PAC is genuine Mazda parts. That's total lie, the website of World Pac shows the brands and suppliers they used, none of them are genuine Mazda parts. read more

Wanted to write a review since they recently renovated the area and was thoroughly pleased with the way it turned out. Before the renovation the waiting area at this shop was tiny and bearable but now it's super roomy and has a modern feel to it. Found out by chatting with Nitesh that making a spacious waiting room was something he's been meaning to do for us Came here on multiple different occasions and all the times my experience were great! Customer service, speed, and professionalism all hit the check marks. Compared to the usual shop I go to, it's slightly higher. Competitively priced. I find it justifiable because there isn't any upselling. They pinpoint the main reason for your visit and during inspection or while working on your vehicle they might stumble upon something that may need to be serviced in the future and let you know.
