The only reason this company is receiving a one is because there wasn't a "0" available. I wish the reviews I read reflected the service I received. The initial contact with the agent to register/schedule my move was great. He was a good salesman. However, that is where the service stopped. Bottomline: BEWARE of their gouging, inaccurate estimate of time, poor workmanship/attention to detai, and insulting go of paying for they unprofessional service & damages to property 1. The day of the move the drivers arrived on time...great 2. When they entered my home they began telling they had to pack items I didn't feel needing packing by them...this began the price gouging...terrible 3. In the process of packing, one of the mover managed to put a liger than 18 inches deep gouge in my wood floor. He tried to deny that he did but it was quite obvious...terrible 4. I told the movers not to take my refrigerator through a small door because any blind person could see the door was too small. I told them more than two times to take the refrigerator through the front door but no...they did what they wanted and this resulted in not only damage to the refrigerator electrical cord but also to the door...oh boy 5. They decided to go to lunch after my itmes were packed and prior to delivering to the storage unit...Ok i understood. The driver gave me a time he would meet me at the storage. An hour or more later I had to call to see when they would arrive. They arrived and I had to sign the document for receipt of my property with an end time...problem. They time he estimated was grossly over the completed time...and the driver began to argue with me to tell me that he didn't take more than 30 mins for lunch and that he knows how long it take him to eat...Really??? 6. IWhile packing my items in storage it began to rain. Two of the three movers decided to stay in the truck and said they don't work during rain. I called the company and the agent told me they work whether, rain, storm, or whatever the weather brings. They then decided to turn the truck around where the door would face the entrance to the storage...good thought. They built a make shift cover...good idea. THe packing resumed. 7. They were taking so long to pack my unit that I began to assist them...be aware I am paying them and I am assisting...something is wrong with that picture 8. They completed the move and again the driver and I got into an argument because his time they sat in the truck and the time he took for lunch did not match my figures. Again, I called the agent at the company for him to tell me he had to talk to the driver to get his story. 9. They reimbursed me $97 (I believe) for time they spent in the truck...ok but not as much as they should have. 10. Keep reading; this is the part that I am stunned about: I filed a claim for my damages through CSIPros. The process was pretty easy until I received a settlement letter. A. I got three professional estimates to repair my floor; uploaded what it would cost to replace the electrical cord for the refrigerator that I got from Sears parts department; and estimate of how much it would cost to fix the door that was damaged from squeezing the refrigerator through...HERE IS THE KICKER...the lowest estimate to fix my wood floor is $2089...it is a very large room and any body who have wood floor knows you cannot fix just the portion that is damaged...but rather sand, stain, & finish the entire area... THEY OFFERED ME $41 US dollars. Total offer $91.47...Major Insult 11. I am filing a dispute and might even have to take this matter to court. 12. Avoid Zip Moving Company at All Costs - Terrible Experience If you're in the market for a moving company that wastes your time, disregards efficiency, and offers zero customer service, Zip Moving Company is unfortunately the perfect candidate. My experience with them was nothing short of a nightmare. To start, the movers arrived and spent the first hour with excessive setup tasks. One worker even spent nearly the entire time on the phone. When I raised my concerns, the crew leader shrugged it off, claiming this was "normal." Apparently, wasting customers' time is part of their standard operating procedure. Things only went downhill from there. Despite most of my belongings being prepped and staged by my wife and me to speed things up, they didn't begin loading the truck until 11:30--two and a half hours after they were supposed to start. I repeatedly requested minimal wrapping for some items, as they were destined to be sold or donated, but my instructions were ignored. Instead, they insisted on doing things their way, wasting even more time. When I tried to help by folding blankets or removing unnecessary packaging to save costs and time, they flat-out refused, prioritizing their "process" over efficiency. The worst part came at the end. They refused to unload my belongings until I paid a "revised estimate" that was double the original quote. This was despite assurances throughout the day that we were ahead of schedule and everything would remain within budget. I felt blindsided and scammed, as it became clear they never intended to honor their original promises. In summary, Zip Moving Company is unprofessional, inefficient, and completely disrespectful of your time and money. Avoid them at all costs. This was the most frustrating moving experience of my life, and I will never use their services again. Save yourself the headache and find a company that values its customers. Teo and PePe were absolutely wonderful!! First, at pick up, they went through all of the paperwork with me so we all knew what to expect. Then the boxes were loaded, and I have never seen a truck packed as carefully or tightly. They were masters at space relations! With the majority of the boxes loaded, they then meticulously blanketed and taped every single piece of furniture. After that process they very professionally packed our mirrors and lamps. We have some large and fragile antiques and we were thrilled to see the care they took. Our belongings were so securely packed that when the door was opened on arrival at our destination, absolutely nothing had even shifted. Our new home was not completed before the furniture arrived, so Teo and his crew very carefully offloaded over 10,000lbs of furniture and boxes and restacked everything within the parameters our contractor requested. They did it cheerfully, quickly and with a great deal of consideration for the security of the furnishings. It was a work of art!! All of the guys were easy to get along with and eager to please. They were prompt, courteous, careful and an excellent "face" for Zip Moving and Storage, as well as for Colonial, who had the good fortune to subcontract them. For any moving/ transport needs in the future, we will, without a doubt call Zip, and request Teo, PePe and their team. we haven´t moved in over 20 years, and so we approached the event with a bit of anxiety. we interviewed more than 8 movers. zip gave us the best pricing and the best response to ease our anxiousness about our move. the day of our move finally came. how would zip perform? well, zip went well beyond our expectations. the movers were great! they were very accommodating, friendly and courteous. whatever we asked them to do they gladly obliged. we had one piece of furniture, a treadmill (commercially rated) that was bulky, assembled inside the room it was placed in and nearly 300 pounds. the treadmill was the last item to leave the house. the challenge was to get the machine out of the room, down a flight of stairs and out of the house. the space at the doorway was only 1/4 inch wider than the width of the machine. somehow the movers got the machine out of the house without damaging the walls, floors, stairways and themselves. by the time the machine was removed it was 5pm. it was now too late to unload the furniture at our new home and so, the move was scheduled the next day. with no place to sleep we checked into a hotel. without ever asking, zip contacted me and told me they would pay for our room. the next day our move was completed. zip was in constant contact with us throughout the entire process. they were great -- the movers and the support staff. i highly recommend them to anyone considering moving! brooks menessa read more

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I requested a quote from this company and I listed all of inventory that needed to be moved. I received the quote and was told the quote was based on the inventory and how much time they thought it would take to move. I proceeded to book. Then on moving day the movers literally took an entire day to move. Arrived at 10 am and was done with the job after 4pm. One of the movers talked my head off the entire time and caused him to stop working numerous times throughout the day. After the job was done, because the job took so long I was charged over $300 more because it's based on hours worked. I find it to be bad business to charge me extra because the mover took all day just chit chatting and making constant breaks. He talked about his entire family and kept talking about the previous move job that he had the night before. I called Calvin to complain and still had to pay the extra over $300. If the movers were constantly working throughout the day and weren't talking then I would understand paying the extra. But I should not be penalized because his movers talked the entire day. Ryan an Kevin were THE Best! My move window was 8am to 1pm for a pack and move. Ryan notified me when they were on the way and arrived 15 mins early! The long wait for whenever movers show up does not apply here. Ryan and Kevin were professional and provided excellent customer service. They worked with a sense of urgency and even while I was working from home were super courteous while I was on calls. They made sure that everything was packed and moved to my liking and did it with care. I felt my belongings were in good hands and even when going to the new place Ryan and Kevin made sure to set my boxes up for easy unpacking. My couch was the largest piece and while we thought that it wasn't going to fit in the front door Ryan was determined to find a way. Ryan and Kevin set up my couch in the living room and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with where it was. After agreeing to their initial quote and scheduling my move, one of their managers, David, called to discuss an email he claimed to have sent me about a mistake made by his colleague (which I never received). He informed me that they would need to add a second truck and two more movers, resulting in a price increase of more than $2,000! It feels like they lure customers in with low quotes, only to hike up the price later--possibly a common practice for them. David was incredibly unprofessional throughout our phone conversation, speeding through the explanation of the changes to make them barely understandable. It felt like he was trying to get me to agree to the outrageous price increase without fully grasping the details. And all this just 15 days before my scheduled move! I was very impressed with their professionalism and thoroughness through every step of the process. Martin was my initial contact and he did a great job talking me through all of the options, and he was also prompt in generating a detailed quote after a video walk-through of the entire house. We were contacted ahead of the move to make sure we knew what to expect and were prepared, and we even got a call while the movers were on site to make sure all was going well. The movers would inform me when they were on the way and were very quick with the moving process itself. They disassembled and reassembled the bigger items and securely wrapped up all of my fragile pieces. They legit rolled out a red carpet to keep from damaging my floors. We also experienced a few snafus due to the age of the building we moved into and they found ways to work around very big issues, demonstrating that not only are they big muscles but big brains! This was the first company I contacted based on the Yelp reviews when our movers bailed on us last minute. The first thing I told them was that this urgent and we need to move tmr. The entire process from setting an appt, virtual walk through to check the inventory, providing the quote within a couple of hours was all very smooth. Rico's crew was the one who called us first thing in the morning and arrived on time. They went through the house and gave us an estimate of 9-10 hours. They were fast and efficient. Our first move was from our home to storage and that went very smooth. The next is over the weekend when they will move from the storage to our new home. We used ZIP Moving last weekend for a local move within the Atlanta metro area. The entire process was very professional and to our complete satisfaction. Eduardo and his crew (a team of three) were on time, and extremely professional, efficient and very polite. At no point was there any slack in the process. They were well prepared and equipped with their tools, and the team was very organized and coordinated very well amongst themselves. We had packed nearly everything into boxes, and disassembled a lot of our furniture. This was my first time hiring movers and I called 4 companies that had sent me mailers once I bought a house; Zip was the first to call me back and give concrete information on how to move forward in the process.
