A great pizza yes but have you had their HOT sandwiches?? NO?! Well then my friend you best get down here! A much looked over menu item, as most people around me had pizza, the HOT sandwiches are in a league of their own. The service was fast for how busy it was and very friendly. The best part is this Zito's is in Old Towne Orange and is hiding down a courtyard off the beaten path so it's nice to go there hang out and get away from a busy day or life. We've had Zitos many of times...especially since its pretty decent pizza and really close to our house. We tend to always get our favorite pizza: Pepperoni with pineapple. A spicy version of traditional Hawaiian. It's good pizza, always full of flavor, and the crust is pretty awesome. We went on Sunday again to watch the World Cup Final game, since Haven Gastropub pissed us off by not playing the game audio (see Haven Review) got our P&P pizza, pitcher of Honey beer and salad. Over all 4 stars for Pizza and Beer...but 2 stars for the salad. Is it really a salad when they basically give you just a bowl full of lettuce? This certainly isn't the last time we'll be at Zitos! I went here for the first time a few days ago and the place was almost packed. They have outdoor seating, which is chill and it seemed like a great place to grab lunch. So originally I had left a bad review completely due to disappointment to coming here post 10:30pm and the restaurant being closed. It was kindly communicated to me by a reply by the manager and by a sweet employee in the store that if business is slow it would make sense to close early so they don't lose money. Logical business practice and a previous place of employment I had did the same thing. I just adjusted and started coming earlier because it's always worth it. Hands down is my favorite pizza in the area, and I have nothing but pleasant experiences with the staff (except the whole thing with the manager ignoring my phone calls that one time and we came to see her working, like reminds me of a Drake song and the bitter resentment is still there, but I'll survive). My girlfriend and I tried this place this past weekend and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a large thin crust pepperoni, mushroom and jalapeño pizza over the phone and I went and picked it up. It was busy inside but I was helped right away by a nice and helpful young girl. I asked her for sides of ranch and they didn't even charge us! My girlfriend and I are not total pizza snobs but we definitely know the difference between good pizza and crappy (dominoes, Pizza Hut, etc). We were so amazed and impressed with this place we couldn't stop commenting to each other our happiness as we ate. It reminded me of pizza I would get when I lived in New York. I definitely recommend this place and will for sure be back. (Tip: get the thin crust, I can't speak for the thick but the thin was just like New York pizza u have to fold in half to be able to eat without it falling). Soooo bomb! read more

Zito's is my favorite pizza in all of Orange County! It's just that good. The crust is the right size and the cheese is quality. Though, really the star of the show is the Garlic Knots. If you don't order them you are doing it wrong. That being said, this location (while cooler in ambience) just doesn't make quite the same pizza as the original Tustin location. The Tustin location is better, but you get a great patio here so if you torn between the two locations, let that be your guide. Also, they do a better job on the Irish Nachos here. read more

Accommodated 17 of us perfectly. Had called ahead to ensure there was space and they said if we walked in within 10 minutes they could. Sure enough, we walked in and moved the tables around for ourselves, walked back up to the counter to order and the pizza came out quicker than the appetizers! Crust was nice and crispy, toppings were cooked through. They even accommodated my lactose intolerant relatives with a cheeseless Zito's special. The only subpar piece of the experience was their garlic knots. Undercooked and not seasoned with real garlic was a super downers. Otherwise, Great service. Good food. Good location! read more

They have really good pizza, I personally love that they have the personal size pizza, which is just the right amount. The best thing is their garlic and cinnamon knots, they are the most delicious things ever. I have is that they are a little overpriced, but I think it has a lot to do with the location in downtown orange. I went there for a fundraiser and they leaked all the credit card information for that night, from now on I pay cash, just to be safe. I think its safe to say that I will still go there for good pizza and delicious knots, even if I do feel like paying cash is the safest. read more

Zito's is definitely my go-to place for pizza in the Circle (not really any other options for pizza in the circle though). The location is kind of hidden in the back alley right before (what used to be) Beach Pit BBQ and around Jalapenos/Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. This is a very casual restaurant, so nothing fancy, but I've also never seen it too busy so it's not a place that will get super loud or rowdy either. Their pizza is good, and prices are reasonable. Plus, if you show your Chapman student ID, you get 10% off! I usually come here for the lunch special, which is 2 slices (or 1 large slice) of pepperoni or cheese pizza, a dinner salad (which is huge), and a drink, for $5.99. I think it's a great deal, one of the best lunch specials I've seen in the Circle. If you opt to get a full pizza, the prices are very reasonable, ranging from $7 for an 8" to $13 for a 16" (toppings extra). I also really like the garlic knots, which are baked pizza dough knots with garlic butter and parmesan cheese, and served with marinara sauce. Superrrr delicious (but also probably super bad for you). Zito's also has a selection of sandwiches, subs and pasta dishes, but I haven't tried them. If you want pizza and you're in the area, Zito's is a good choice. I don't think you'll be disappointed! read more

Food is good. I typically order delivery. The last time i ordered i was told that if you have any requests like utensils, plates or even crushed peppers or Parmesan cheese you need to let them know ahead of time. I learned this with Ranch as well. You must let them know you want ranch before they ask for your card number cause they charge for every single ranch. Not even on ranch is free no matter how much you get. The food is always great and the service is nice over the phone but i have a issue with every delivery. No matter who i tell they never offer or bring paper plates, utensils or have the crushed peppers with the delivery people. When i use to work at a pizza restaurant i would always send a separate bag with the driver just in case they needed stuff at point of delivery. This always boosted their tips as well. Just wanted to make a customer service suggestion. Whoever is taking the order ask questions make sure you let the driver know what they should take. Always be a prepared. read more

Terrible. I don't know what you're standard of greasy pizza joints are, but this one definitely belongs at the bottom and should be ever sinking. It's called Zito's pizza, and their pizza has taste and quality of a piece of cardboard topped with cheese whiz, the peak of blandness, and expensive blandness at that. So if that's the measure by which every other "meal" should be judged, I say swing by your nearest Ralph's, grab the cheapest, most plain looking frozen pizza you can. Then go home and throw it in the oven ,15 mins later you'll have an Italian ambrosia fit for the gods compared to the slop that passes for food at this place. The sandwiches are mostly bread with a helping of grease, their salads are 3 day old iceberg lettuce, sprayed with Pam to give it that fresh look, and I don't care what any one says, their spaghetti is Chef Boyardee straight out of the can. The atmosphere was loud, and disrupting. Kids ran amuck and drunken softball teams reenacted their games on the tops of tables. So find a Pizza Hut, CPK, or some other nearby place if you desire good pizza that you can sallow without gagging. read more

It's hard finding decent pizza place around Orange and although Zito's isn't anything horribly special, I'm giving it an extra star for the memories and the ambiance. Oh and the garlic knots which are divine. I used to go to Zito's ALL the time when I lived on campus at Chapman. I have gotten the vegetarian pizza (very good!), Martguerita pizza (awesome), and thai pizza (not bad). I heart their greek salad because it comes with beets and I love beets. Don't expect anything fancy about their salads..they're shredded lettuce, toppings, and a package of dressing in a plastic black bowl with a plastic fork. A little bit unsettling if you ask me. But hey, you can't have it all. Their garlic knots are AWESOME. Do get some when you go there, they're bunches of garlicy, buttery fun. On take-out: I've gotten my order screwed up once. My roommate at the time didn't want beets on her greek salad but I wanted extra beets on mine. We both ended up not having beets and I was one sad beet-loving girl. On customer service: not bad, although it took like a half hour to get our pizza/sandiwich/garlic knots out last night, which is kind of drastic considering pizza only takes maybe twelve minutes to make (according to my BF who is a chef). And they didn't bring out the garlic knots first which would have solved everything. Why would you bring an appetizer out at the same time as the entrees? Bummer, dude. We were craving pizza and didn't know where to go that isn't a chain pizza place, inexpensive, quick, and in the Orange area. We found this location on Yelp (apparently there are quite a few) and decided to try it out. We were lucky enough to find parking along the turnabout in Old Town Orange, but usually parking is horrendous in this area. Plus, it was past lunch hour. Walked in and we it wasn't crowded. Plenty of seats, TVs (with the Dodger game!), and overall clean atmosphere. We shared a small BBQ chicken pizza, cheesy breadsticks, and a side Caesar salad with two drinks. Should have only ordered one drink because we barely finished ours. Food was very tasty and the prices were very good! I want to go back and try these garlic knots that I keep hearing about after our visit. Service was also very friendly. They have a great lunch special that comes with a big slice of pizza, salad, and a soda for about $6. It's super filling and reasonably priced so it is usually my go to lunch spot when I'm at school. I know parking can usually be a problem during peak hours but since I go to Chapman, I don't have to worry about that. Service is always great. Zito's is awesome. It's my go-to for pizza. It's a little on the pricey side for pizza, but the pizza is consistent and always good. Not as bad if you have someone to split with. If I go solo, I usually do the Italian sub. For pizza, can't beat the meat lovers. My wife and I live close enough to routinely walk to the Circle and this is one of our standards. The staff is always friendly, the service is quick and the food is good. They have a couple locations and we have been to them all. This is the closest to my house and in the Circle, so it's normally the shoe-in. Sweet baby Jesus they added a self serve Coke machine and now it's heaven. read more
