It goes against my grain to eat a sandwich with a fork and knife (who would do such a thing?), but it would have been hella-messy otherwise. Very fresh ingredients and very flavorful sandwich. Did a group work order a few weeks back, I had never eaten here before, however have seen great reviews in a foodie group I belong to & have heard people say they enjoy the food. I personally will never order from here again. We did an online order & I called after placing the order with a couple of questions from my co-workers. Pick-up time was 11:45a. I didn't get back to my office until almost 12:30. 1st I was told my order was not ready, then the 1st person who "helped" me was glance at me & glance at the new bags on the counter & talk to her co-workers and shake their heads at me, which I took as "nope, not ready yet". Checked again, still nothing. After it hit 12:20, I was getting a little more than frustrated. Went back up to the counter & asked about my order. Gave my name, they looked thru the bags (old & newly added) & said "No, sorry" then another one of the people at counter asked my last name. I provided, and she said, "OH" and picked up a bag which I had been staring at the entire time I was sitting there. Usually when we have lunch from a place, we, my co-workers & I talk about what we had, how we liked, etc.... just didn't get any feedback from my usually talkative peeps. My food, well, I don't mind paying for food. I like food. I don't mind paying a little more for my food. This time no. Not worth the price nor the hype. I've missed going to this place. I used to go to lunch there about once a week when I worked next door. They have the best sandwiches and specials. I especially like the build your own salad. You can chose 2 from a list for the bases of the salad. I always get the mixed greens and brown rice. Then you chose 5 add ons from a long list. I usually get cheese, edamame, garbanzo beans, pickled onions and nuts. I also add bacon for an extra charge. There is also a list of dressings. I love having a chose. YUMMY. I have recently made the decision to eat healthier. I am avoiding the usual suspects. red meat, sugars, alcohol, etc. I have been eating a lot of Poke bowls. I make them at home for the most part. the Poke Bowl from Zoftig is so good!!! very salady with the lettuces. I think the price is reasonable. the serving has all of it. some sweetness, some saltiness, some bitterness from the greens, crunch, soft bites. eating better is easier with Zoftig in the mix. at a minimum, it will force me to improve my own poke bowl game. read more

I really liked the people at this restaurant. Very positive helpful serving staff. I've tried three of their signature dishes. The Korean burrito. Their fried chicken sandwich . And the Korean fried chicken sandwich. I believe two of these appeared on DDD. The Korean burrito, despite all the ravings wasn't my style. I like good Korean food, but I didn't particularly care for this flavor profile in a tortilla wrapper. It was also cold but I don't think intentionally. The chicken sandwich was very good on execution and very moist, crispy chicken breast. But unfortunately it was poorly seasoned. If that's the seasoning profile, they need to add some additional toppings like pickles and/or some type of acid to give it a zip to make up for the lack of salt, pepper, paprika, granulated, garlic, etc. that you might find in a fried chicken. On the other hand, the Korean fried chicken was very tasty and the crisp cabbage and pickled vegetables was very nice. It would be better if they would allow these cabbage items to come to room temperature, since they are fermented rather than serve them, cold on a hot sandwich. I will definitely be back to try more items off their menu and see what's new! read more

This place is a unique sandwich shop worth trying out. We came in and ordered a Turkey Sandwich and a Mushroom Bahn Mi. The Turkey sandwich was excellent and was made with care and quality ingredients. The bread was slightly crispy and chewy on the inside. The Turkey tasted of good quality and the bacon was thick cut and flavorful. They do not skimp on the ingredients and I was very satisfied with the ratio of the meat and veggies. I would recommend this sandwich. The Mushroom Bahn Mi was a miss for me as it was too far from traditional to be called a Bahn Mi in my opinion. It lacked the fresh taste of a Bahn Mi and hid the flavors of cilantro and jalapeño. The sauce stood out the most on this sandwich and also gave you a timer to eat it before the bread gets soggy. Went in today for a Togo lunch for friend and I. We ordered a zubano meat sandwich and a falafel wrap and a side a fries and a small key lime pie. They were so so sweet when we made our order I tipped 9 dollars . First time eating take out in several months figured that was the least I could do. Took the food home and it was delicious. I highly recommend them. The veggies in the sandwiches are off the hook. Fries even though they were not hot when we got home they still tasted nice. I have not had any pie yet I got it for my kid. When I arrived, the fries were sitting on the counter, I waited about 4-5 minutes for the burger to come out. When my burger was done, the counter kid put my food in a bag. I asked her to please warm up the fries since they were by now cold. Surprise on her face and she gave the fries to the cook, and he drop them back in the fryer and plainly ignored them, ( he was not happy about my request) until I said, "It has been a minute, they are probably ready". he ignored me and after another 30 seconds later he pulled them out, did not shake the basked dump the oily fries in his bowl, salt and back in the box. Located between Rosso pizzeria and Goguette bakery. In the storefront that was previously Sonoma tacos. My visit just a few days after opening. Arrived 12:30pm on a Friday. There were 16 people in-line creeping towards the cashier to place orders. That took 25 minutes before it was my turn. Ordered the falafel wrap and a Boylan's soda. Total price = $13.28. No number given. Cashier asked "What's your name?" Then stood in another line with a dozen folks waiting for the order to be completed. And waited and waited... 40 minutes! So now I'm getting antsy and a bit pissed off. Thinking "The food better be amazing for my investment in time for such a simple order". Of course, three other Tom's were waiting for food as well, some confusion ensued. Alas, the food was no better than ordinary. Wrap contained 2 medium falafel balls with mildly fermented curtido (pickled cabbage & onions). The wet, almost mushy falafel balls were mildly spicy with curry flavors. No tahini sauce. Wrap was equal to a regular size burrito. Weighed in at about 12 ounces. My lunch pal ordered the banh mi. $10.95. He declared that it was just "meh". He did not like the jalapeno mayo, said it was too spicy. The bread was a Italian style pugliese, a little too doughy and chewy. He said the banh mi at Lee's noodle house (https://www.yelp.com/biz/lees-noodle-house-santa-rosa) is way more tasty and has much more pork in it. Other diners must think more highly of the food than me as the place was packed. There are plenty of tables and chairs. Actually too many for the tiny kitchen that is cranking at a rapid rate, but just can't keep up with the crowd. We got a new restaurant winner here, but hope that it doesn't become a victim of its own success. But based on the paltry satisfaction level that the falafel wrap brought me, I probably will not return. read more

After many visits to Zoftig, I'm upholding my initial 5-star review. I've now tried the Korean Burrito several times and enjoy it a lot. I think it's a little greasy but it's also hard to tell how much is sauce and how much is grease. If you don't get it to go, it's served to you halved on a plate already dripping. I go here for a salad or chicken sandwich. Both are delicious. When I worked across the street, they were a staple for me. Then my daughter caught wind of the delicious chicken sandwich and started going there too. The fries are delicious. The restaurant is small in size, but makes up for it with the food and service.
