The food was really good, I tried the chia pudding they offer as grab and go, the grilled cheese and the breakfast English muffin. You can tell they make it to order which now that I know, I will order ahead of time next time. The bread was crispy how I like it and the grilled onions add good flavor. I ordered to go but I would definitely eat in the next time I have the chance. They have enough seating and seems like a good place to have lunch with a friend as it's not so loud you can hold a conversation. read more

WOW! We got Doordash food for my first time trying this place and I could tell right away that if I'd eaten there, I would have probably given a 5 star review. Food is always better eaten right after it's prepared, but this wasn't far off. I got the falafel wrap, which was full of flavor and huge. I was stuffed when dinner rolled around. Thank you for the suggestion, Yelp! I don't usually travel to this side of town, but, today I needed to kill some time before my doctors appointment and wanted to eat lunch nearby. I checked the handy dandy Yelp app and this came up on the recommendations and it was located in the same area as my medical appointment. How convenient! There is plenty of parking and seating inside the establishments as well as a few small tables outside. The menu was very ready to read with big lettering font which is awesome because I'm a squinter due to poor vision. The person who took my order was very attentive and friendly. He answered my questions regarding menu items. I ended up ordering the Pork Katsu Bowl and a mint unsweetened tea. All I can say is I wish I would've known about this place sooner. The bowl was absolutely delicious. So delicious I almost licked the bowl clean without a worry about what others would think lol. I've been curious to try the food and stopped in for lunch with a friend who was looking for a casual place where she would feel comfortable dining with a newborn. It fit the purpose, nothing fancy but a low key tasty meal. I was a bit surprised by the prices as I paid $18 and change for a Korean wrap and a can of Diet Coke. Ok...this is my first time here. I'm a big fan. Went there for art but tried the food. I don't like chocolate with orange. It's my thing. Don't judge me. However, I was convinced into getting a chocolate orange scone, the last one, and was transconfigurated into becoming a believing connoisseur. Not too much orange or chocolate... the perfect amount of everything....just simple goodness. I then decided on the ahi tuna bowl/salad. It is arguably one of the best salad bowls I have ever had...anywhere. If you're a fan of the Sweet Greens restaurants, you have to try this place. I love Sweet Greens, but this place takes it to a whole different level. I didn't think that was possible, but there it is. The food is so good and so perfectly matched. Another hidden place next to the bakery. Staff was friendly. Ordered grilled eggplant sandwich, a chicken bowl (recommendation) and side of fries. Grilled eggplant came out first. It was amazing! Hands down I would do this over and over. Eggplant, feta, arugula, pesto and wonderful roll. Side homemade pickles good. If you like eggplant don't hesitate. Several mins later hubby's chicken bowl came out. At this point I'm done with half my sand which...timing was way off. The portion was huge- the chicken perfectly cooked, flavorful and tender. The pad Thai noodles bland. Cooked noodles with some sour cream / yogurt mix on the bottom. This dish was confusing, bland and a disappointment. I asked about the fries and they apologized and started making them. They arrived when I finished my sandwich with a side of homemade ranch. Tables are bussed by customers so not sure if tips are really needed. Water and all is self service. I'm giving this 4 stars because the eggplant was so good and the elements of freshly prepared,scratch cooking is there. The one dish was just off. We would go back again. read more

I feel so fortunate to have Zoftig a short walk away from my office. Whether I eat it at my desk or in the restaurant, it's always delicious! I have had the maccabi bowl and the Korean burrito. I loved both, but the Korean burrito is the winner for me. I have always done delivery or pickup, and have never stayed to eat. Despite that, dining room is spacious and comfortable with a cute water station. Zoftig always meets and exceeds my wildest dreams. The scones are also incredible. So moist and buttery. Dear Zoftig Eatery team: you rock. Dear GrubHub: you have one job. Sigh... My wife and I were delighted that Zoftig Eatery could address a sudden craving for Korean flavors with their Korean Burrito. So we ordered two Korean Burritos and a Falafel Wrap. Then, we waited for our latest Yelp delivery, "powered by GrubHub." Apparently, GrubHub had a power failure. When our order hadn't arrived 15 minutes after the estimated delivery time, I tried to chat with the GrubHub support team online. I was briefly dismayed to see I was #32 in the chat queue, but was relieved as that number quickly fell to 8. Then stopped falling. Back to dismay. Then I called the restaurant. Ella was sympathetic and surprisingly informative. The surprise? My food was ready, but hadn't left the restaurant -- because GrubHub didn't have an available driver. Something the GrubHub app we consumers get to use apparently knows nothing about. Anyway, I tired of waiting to chat, and called GrubHub support on the phone. While the operator was apologizing and promising me a $5.00 "promotional credit," someone called from the restaurant. Turned out to be Matt, the owner of Zaftig Eatery. He confirmed the continued lack of a GrubHub driver. He then asked for our address and drove our order to our home himself. Five stars, Matt. Five stars. And the food? My wife wanted more sauce on these Falafel Wrap and more salt on the falafel itself. I thought it was perfect the way it was. We were both impressed by the thin, flavorful wrap, the perfect carrier and complement to the delicious filling. The Korean Burrito? Full of flavor, but the kimchi is so hot, it almost overwhelms everything else. Almost. Maybe a milder kimchi option? We will definitely be trying more of the Zaftig Eatery menu soon, and urge everyone else to do so, too. Great ingredients, prepared and combined in tasty, balanced ways. But if we order delivery again, we may have to use an alternative to GrubHub. Or check with the restaurant to see if they've seen a GrubHub driver recently before ordering. (Meanwhile, as I'm completing this very review, the Yelp/GrubHub app says their driver is on his way with my order. Great fusion food. Really loved the Korean burrito! Savory happiness wrapped in a tortilla. Yumm!! Tried the katsu bowl.! The dish was delicious but I imagine it would have tasted alot better at the venue compared to my take out option. The katsu and the egg on top it was perfect but the rice base needed more flavor. The side salad was also quite delicious overall I loved what I had and I can't wait to try other things on their menu. Would have given them 4 stars but customer service wasn't their forte on my visit. read more

I still have to work my way through the menu but I loved everything I tried so far. The Maccabi bowl is my all-time favorite. The Korean Barbecue Burrito is a close second. Came here for my birthday in September and ordered the bahn mi. The bread on the sandwich is very fresh and delicious. Came again yesterday and ordered the falafel wrap which was also very good. They come with a side of pickles, and I don't like pickles but these pickles are REALLY good, they have a sweet taste to them. You can get a less expensive falafel wrap at other places, but you get what you pay for here. I wish it came with fries though. You'll have to order that separately, and if you do I highly recommend their sweet potato fries. read more

We arrived on a Wednesday around 3:30pm. Since it was only a half hour from closing, they weren't busy. The space felt a little under decorated and amateurish, but it was clean and tidy. We ordered the Maccabi salad and a custom salad. The ingredients seemed fresh and the lettuce was lightly dressed, just as we like it. The Maccabi salad didn't really strike my fancy as I had hoped, but I intentionally ordered something that was a little outside my normal preferences. I like to do that occasionally just to keep myself fresh. In this case I found the walnut dip too oily. There was a lot of hummus, beet mash, falafel, etc. I found myself wishing for more greens instead. My son liked his salad okay, but I noticed him picking out the olives as there were too many of them for the amount of greens provided. For the guy that said he was starving, he only ate about 2/3 of his salad. There's a couple of TVs. My son ended up facing a sports channel, and I ended up facing the Cooking Channel. Hilariously appropriate. They have a water dispensing station which we appreciated. I was a little less than impressed that they keep the cleaning supplies directly below the water in plain sight, not very appetizing. Also, in an attempt at decor, a round table in the middle of the dining space displayed a bouquet of lillies, the kind that are overwhelmingly perfumey. The odor was off-putting when combined with the smell of food. It's worth a try if you're in the area. We may try it again, but the next time I won't stray away from my normal preferences. I wish there were 10 stars available to rate this wonderful Deli/Caterer. I was in Santa Rosa coordinating a training week for 50/60 people at the Courtyard and my group was getting board with the food. Sonia and her team brought the most amazing food to our conference. Their sandwiches and wraps were "Over the Top" clean and fresh, but nothing could compare to their Specialty Salads. Those local in our group did not all know of this hidden gem and were ecstatic to have a new sandwich haven. We have nothing like this amazing deli in Sacramento, so I look forward to returning to Santa Rosa soon to partake in their clean and fresh food. read more
