Well this is my first experience with Zoli's. And it hasn't been great. My mom picked up a couple take and bake pizzas for my birthday and we weren't given any instructions on how to bake them. I called up there and a girl named Landry answered the phone and she told me that I needed to take the pizza off the tray (that the pizza was on in the box) and put it in the oven. Well after completely destroying my pizza because (obviously because its doughy and wasn't frozen) I called back and asked her to clarify the instructions. That time she said I could cook it on the tray but she recommended taking it off. She was very rude and spoke to me like I was stupid. Well then I found a YouTube video that showed the instructions stating you put the pizza on the tray directly in the oven.... So thanks Landry. My pizza is destroyed no thanks to you. read more

Everything we've had has been great, both before and after the menu updates. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Reasonable prices for what you are getting. The loads of natural light that come into the restaurant not only put me in a good mood but the food also looks even more appetizing in the good lighting (which btw, thumbs up to their food photographer on their social media). The Return of the Mac on the new menu is a MUST if you're a macaroni and cheese lover. I wasn't sure how the mozz would be but it was creamy and cheesy and the bread crumb topping was perfect. Looked straight out of an ad (in a good way) when it came out of the kitchen. We like to build our own pizzas but I really like the NY White for one of the standard selections. That sesame crust! I wish they would make the fried calamari we had awhile back as a special a permanent menu item though. Good beer selection. Actually really like sitting at the bar! This is my favorite pizza place in DFW. I've been here, and the previous location, many times and I've never been so disappointed. I came here for my birthday dinner with four others. The service was very slow, our appetizer was never queued, and the pizza came out slightly burnt and very tough to chew. Best darn pizza I've had since moving here to DFW. The crust is bananas and perfect like the brick oven slices you'd find being slung on the streets of good ole NYC. I judge my pizza places like a purist either by the cheese pizza only or a good old fashion zaa with pep as the only topping. Me and my sister @n3ssa1_ came here on a whim for lunch and the classic pep was on point. Crust was crisp and held together well, the ingredients were fresh, and the whole pie cooked to perfection. The decor of this place is like a church of star wars pop culture stuff which gives it a fun hip vibe. We where here at lunch time and service was spotty but they only had one waitress on the floor and she did a bang up job as best she could. Oh and the waffle fries are a must but ask for them Pats way you won't be disappointed. Honestly the only reason I give these guys a four is the spotty service which was understandable and the fact that the waffle fries blew us away more than the pizza. Amazing pizza and staff. It's a very coll place with a nice decor. First time going here but I've heard about it for a long time and it definitely didn't disappoint... excellent pizza and the waitresses at the bar where warm and welcoming. First of all: If you're coming here to play trivia they only play it on one side of restaurant and fail to tell you or even ask if you're there. Second, beware they up charge drinks before asking. Asked for a drink with well tequila but ended up with a $10 shot. Now to service, waitress was disinterested in table and keeping drinks filled. They also failed to put in a food order and did not recognize their mistake until the end of the meal service (we didn't bother to remind since she didn't come back until near end of service). Finally food, pizza was dry and uninteresting. Creative combinations lack adequate balance needed for crust used by establishment. Lil'Troy was near inedible due to spiciness. Love this place! I've ordered pizza several times for takeout and most recently tried the Mac N cheese. Holy moly- was the Mac n cheese good!!!!! I don't think I've had anything better! I was massively disappointed, the only good thing I can say about this place is they were very polite. I called in for the Burger and fries, I got a Dr. Pepper while I was there , it was almost $20, I leave a tip and it takes me to about $25 so I'm expecting something amazing. The chicken parm is a hearty serving and delivers with each bite. And we can't say enough about the waffle fries as they a light and crunchy, but provide everything you want as a side dish. I came back in recently to try the Zoli's OD Burger "Gigante" Style, which means adding a freshly fried mozzarella patty and bacon marmalade. I saw that they also started making their own focaccia bread, so I decided to swap that out for the traditional bun to make this a completely unique burger experience. While it was tasty, as with just about everything I've tried here to this point, I would say stick with the usual burger and maybe just add the bacon marmalade. The fried mozzarella patty is delicious, but put on top of an already double cheese burger makes the dish a little too heavy in my opinion. And while the focaccia bread is good, it is relatively soft and does not hold all the ingredients as well as I had hoped. So overall, I would suggest trying all of these ingredients, but maybe separately, as opposed to all on top of one burger. read more

Wasn't really that impressed.. Nice atmosphere. Was told the round pizza was a thin crust and the square was more of a thick crust. In my opinion the round is a regular crust and the square must be a deep dish. I got the round with pepperoni At first the waiter brought it out and said one was coming with sausage but I didn't order one with sausage. I was like no I ordered it with pepperoni this is right. The table to the left ordered it with sausage. Then I got a salad with pepperoni delivered to me but I didn't order it. The table to the right said it must be there's. So I let them take it bc well I didn't order it nor did I want it. Also tried to give me ziti as I was eating the pizza. Told them did not order that either The taste of the pizza was ok. Ordered a bunch of food for a special lunch today at the job. I was greeted by April (the General Manager), she was professional and kind. I took the bag of food I ordered and was on my way. Zolis misplaced one of the items that we had ordered and once I arrived back at the office I noticed it was missing. I proceed to call and April answered the phone, once I relayed my receipt she stated they indeed forgot one of the items. April apologized with empathy then proceeded to ask what I would like for free to cover for the miss! I was pleasantly surprised and then asked for a personal size cheese pizza and was headed out to pick up the food. After a couple of minutes I called her back and wanted to change it to a desert, April picked up the call again and said "no problem! See you soon!". Once I arrived, April came out and greeted me and said they already made the cheese pizza and it was on the house as well! I was grateful she decided to do that when she did not have to. I then proceeded to say I'd like another desert that I would pay for and April again said no problem and went back to the kitchen to get the item. A waitress returned with the item and stated that she did not want any money at all for the pizza or both deserts. I was SHOCKED! What service is this?! This was such a pleasant surprise and was totally not necessary. But the goodness of the general manager (April)'s heart to decide to bless us today was truly special, WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. He picked at it all during the meal, preferring to scrounge slices of pie. He took it home and was going to try to "revive it". I was really impressed with this place. Friendly wait staff, great food & awesome music. The majority of the style of the place is rustic industrial decorated with Star Wars fan art throughout. We had the fried zucchini fries with jalapeño ranch, we also tried marina sauce with them which was also great. I'm not a fan of super spicy stuff but I didn't find the jalapeño ranch sauce too spicy it does have a zing in its after-taste but oh well, tasted too good to care! LOL For pizza we tried the Lil Troy - again, I took off any peppers I could find but I could still taste them & once again didn't care because the pizza is great! Just needed to have my drink refilled a few extra times than usual - no biggie! Our waitress was Brooklyn, who was really sweet & made great recommendations. Amazing pizza!!! Definitely exceeded my expectations. Would have given it 5 stars but there were a few reasons it lost the extra star. Arrived around 7 on a Friday night, and it was crowded-as to be expected. The hosts seemed to address everyone asking if you had a reservation, and having a reaction that seemed to say, it would be extremely inconvenient if you hadn't. It took over 5 minutes for them to check the tables and take our name down. We requested outside, and when our table was "ready" they realized they had us on the wrong list, and we had to wait again. Super nice bartender! Our server wasn't overly friendly, but was honest about the menu. The pizza and chopped salad were both fabulous! The jalapeño pesto isn't too strong/spicy. This is my second time giving Zoli's a shot and I still can't understand why it's rated so highly. Tonight we ordered the Lil Troy square pizza for pick-up. Expect simply a glorified cheese bread. Topics are very minimal. Every other slice (if that) had a single small chunk of meatball. I paid an extra $2 to add mushrooms and there were about 5 slices added to the whole pizza. Moral of the story: I would recommend several other pizza shops in town before stopping here. read more
